Property Ratings at Tyndall Pointe Luxury Townhomes
Felicia was the only good property manager. Now she's gone. I may have recommended this apartment complex in the past, but now I can't express enough how much you should AVOID this horrid place. The new management (current today, July 5th, 2017) is possibly the worst I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The newest landlord is one of the most anti-friendly people I've met. Social interactions seem bitter and unwelcomed, even when no words are exchanged. She came in making some of the most ridiculous changes, taking away the good things and adding a lot of bad. Much of what made me sign the agreement to move in in the first place, has now been abandoned. I am, however, not here to attack her character, even though the landlord obviously plays a big role in choosing an apartment to begin with. The buildings themselves are poorly constructed; the carpets, blinds, doors, and walls are all cheaply made and should be expected to break within the first few weeks of moving in (which you will be charged for at the end of your lease even damage was not caused by you). The stairway railings and doors will fall out of their holes, as they are not anchored into the walls. The water heater is cheap, and can't be expected to hold enough hot water for one person to take a 10 minute shower. The fact that there are no washer/dryer hookups is pretty bad, but that was somewhat alleviated by a modest priced community laundromat, which everyone used. But guess what, the price was increased (for no apparent reason) by the new mgmt. When I moved in, they marketed their apartments to be very "military friendly" providing a discount, and even allowing military members the chance to pay of the 1st and 15th of the month. Well when the new landlord came in the picture, she got rid of that policy, which was the main reason why I agreed to move here in the first place. Now, the fees. The absolutely ridiculous, money grubbing fees. The new management is now charging for every little thing. If they see one thing you might be "infringing" upon, BAM! instant $50 owed on your next check. Left a bucket on the patio to dry? BAM! Window blinds cracked/broken? BAM! A day late on payment? BAM! ANOTHER $50! If you come across these apartments and find this review, please heed my warning. Stay as FAR away from this place as possible. At least until the current management is gone. I am glad I'm gone.
We just recently moved out. Like the comments say below, I heard some bad things about the management, but Felicia has been there for awhile now - she was the only person we dealt with over the past year - and seems pretty on the ball. The apartments themselves are great. Everything's been renovated and are really nice on the inside.
Property Manager at Tyndall Pointe Luxury Townhomes, Responded To This Review
Thank you very much for your review!! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us this feedback!
First off the apartments themselves are actually pretty nice. They are recently renovated and look good and have a great price. However in the year and a half I've been here there have been 5 different property managers. Some good some bad but all have there own set of rules. The maintenance department is horrible and it takes them forever to fix anything. Lastly this apartment complex is located in a very low income area which means most of the neighbors are complete trash. They party all night, park on the grass, leave trash all over their porches, and just simply don't care. If you like to keep to yourself and are respectful I would advise against this place but if you're low income, on welfare and food stamps, have 5 kids with 5 men, and are trashy then this place is perfect for you.
The apartments themselves are actually pretty nice and newly renovated and the rent is pretty cheap. Unfortunately there have been 5 different management companies in the year and half I've been here. Each company has new rules that they want to implement. The management treats and talks to the residents like children. The neighbors are very loud and party a lot. But you get what you pay for. It's a pretty normal apartment experience.
