ULofts Apartments

Locationwise, this apartment is so convenient to Tech. It is well managed and all inspections in the units are done regularly to ensure safety. I like the apartment's activities on special occassions.

My experience has been mostly good. The complex is kept clean and the apartments are nice. Maintenance is fairly quick and the front office is helpful.

Roaches everywhere and very little done to deal with it other than the occasional spray, which doesn’t work. I keep my apartment clean so I really don’t think that one is on me. My apartment was absolutely trashed when I moved in and had clearly not been cleaned at ALL before I got there. Black mold was everywhere. Was not notified that my bathroom sink was completely molded and warped upon move in, which is quite frankly unacceptable. Wasn’t fixed for another 2 months and had no notification from the front office until a day or two before they decided to come and fix it. Many other utilities in my apartment were damaged as well, including the AC, stovetop, fridge, and the water heating in my bathroom. Water heating issue was never fixed. Communication and accountability are huge issues here. Only real bonuses are the rent and utilities prices (ish) and maybe proximity to campus too. Not sure if it makes up for my overall experience though.

I generally like Ulofts and the people in my community. The staff is always nice, however they continually raise their prices, even for residents who have spent repetitive years in the community. This is very frustrating for those who have been loyal to the location and process. The neighbors could also be better. Two doors down from me is a family with small child and whenever the child has a tantrum, they take them into the hallway so everyone has to know that they are crying, even at 3 AM. The work orders are taken care of relatively fast and most of the workers go above and beyond to ensure that you’re having a great stay. The pool is not taken care of during the off season, so if you are to have a window view of the pool, it’s not at its best in the fall/winter/part of spring. Furthermore, the parking garage isn’t in the best shape and for some reason, the complex decided to do construction in the garage during the school season versus the summer when many less people are there.

Very nice and spacious apartments. Very conveniently located across from TTU. Apartment is furnished with nice appliances. Pool is not operational right now but I’m told that it will be in the near future.

Quiet and convenient. I really like my room and the gym is nice. Overall I have had a good experience here. The only real complaint I have is the parking garage can be difficult to drive in and the community areas could use updating

I have lived at ULofts for over five years, and its proximity to campus is a huge advantage, especially for those working or studying at Texas Tech. The apartment units are cozy, though a bit dated, but the apartment complex has shown consistent improvement over time. The neighborhood feels safe, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and approachable. While most of the residents are considerate, littering is an issue in the common areas. The fitness center was recently updated with great equipment, but it could benefit from more frequent cleaning. One downside is the frequent unavailability of amenities the pool was open for only a few weeks during Summer 2024. The cost of living here with rent increases and a “flat utility fee,” which now surpasses cumulative inflation over the past five years, have made it more difficult to justify ULofts' pricing compared to the market. Overall, ULofts offers convenient and pleasant living but has several areas that need improvement.

The apartment office often provides notices with very short advance warning, which can make it challenging to cooperate, especially if you travel frequently. However, the location is excellent—just steps away from the classroom, making it very convenient.

The move-in process was very smooth, and the apartment was generally clean. The spaces seem to be renewed. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The apartment was clean, and everything was properly working. The building infrastructure also provides everything that we need to rest and take care of our physical/mental health.

It went very smoothly and everyone was so helpful. There were a couple of things needed to be done in my apartment but they were very nice and said they would fix it.

It's a clean and nice apartment, and it's close to the college. Every piece of furniture is furnished so you have got what you need. It has a great community and feels safe.

Could be cleaner, musty smells linger throughout the complex. Maintenance is not the most urgent/quick at responding to requests. Office staff are easy to reach most of the time.

I’m not a resident yet, but i scheduled a tour the staff was really nice, they answered all my questions and gave me a tour of my room plan, while my tour i got to see everything and it was really clean and nice just like the pictures, it was also barely any noise. Everything was great but to be honest i was expecting my the room plan that i got to be a bit bigger, but overall it was nice and clean. Just the way they show it online.

Ulofts is at a great location for a great price! The staff is friendly and easy to work with, and the amenities are well kept. Would recommend this complex to anyone looking!

It was a Great Tour and very informative. I am very impressed with the Gym and the area around Texas Tech and the surrounding area with restaurants and churches.

Good but it’s hard to get packages to be delivered. I’ve had to call maintenance a couple times to fix the hot water because it was really hot. Overall clean place to live

The location is wonderful. However, the overall maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness in common areas (elevator, corridor, parking lots, etc.) are not perfect. Additionally, the office hours are sometimes unexpectedly changed, with the office either closing early or opening later than stated. Regardless, there has been significant improvement over the last year or two.

The apartment complex fostered a strong sense of community. Neighbors were friendly and respectful, creating a pleasant and sociable atmosphere. The management team organized regular events and activities, which provided opportunities to meet fellow residents and build connections. This sense of community made the apartment feel like a true home.

Good price for what you get. Management has been improving a lot over the year. Had very few problems! And ever when I had them they solved it pretty fast I'd say.

The price point and amenities are okay. The kitchen could be a bit bigger, but the living room space is great. However, the cockroach infestation issue is stressing and tiresome.

Enjoy the location right across from campus. The new weight room is nice also. Working through some issues with bugs in the apartment but it was sprayed so hoping that will resolve it.

towing rules and parking garage is ridcouilis to the point where it wouldd be more conveint to park outside the property. Terribe noise you can hear everything from the bar across the street to neighbours to even other peoples microwaves.

I have thoroughly enjoyed living here and is for the most part a very positive experience. The staff is helpful and the amenities are very nice.

So far I have enjoyed everything about living here at the ULofts. The size and comfortability has been everything I could ask for. The only thing I could say could be better is the smell of the hallways, that's about it.

My overall experience has been very good! My apartment is nice and quiet and the staff is very pleasant. The community areas of the complex could use improvement.

The best thing about ULofts is its location, right across the street from Texas Tech University, just a five minute walk and you’re in the middle of the campus.

No problems with this place at all, so comfy and quiet! I love it here! Has great amenities! Great sweet staff! Close to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and convenience stores. Beautiful neighborhood and amazing views!!!

Staff is very helpful and on call crew as well! I’ve locked myself out a couple of times and they were quick to show up and help me get back in!

I’m really glad I am here the apartment feels like home it’s close to my work, and the restaurants are walking distance The maintenance people are nice and reliable

Best place to live, amazing view from the window, clean and safe, surrounded by many good restaurants and most importantly, very very close to the campas. I love this place and I renewed again to stay here. I dont want to miss my apartment.

Near to Texas tech University. Good apartment with all amenities. Good management. Always trying their best. It's worth living here. Thinking about renewing for next year.

Leaving in U Lofts has been a good experience for me so far. Also, the maintenance team responds in a reasonable time. However, the house rent is increasing every year, which I do not like, knowing the fact that sometime I find cockroaches in the house.

Disappointed in what we walked into. Not cleaned, roaches, carpet smells like dog urine, and had to snake out hair from drain to get the shower to drain. Water gets cold in 10 mins of shower... so Disappointed as I was shown a model apartment and it was NOTHING LIKE THEY SHOWED... well be reporting to BBB and housing authority

Love how the place is close to the campus and restaurants! wish there was a gate for the parking lot tho. Overall, nice location to stay if you are a student at tech

Wish can respond the email more. and the prices is too high compare the apartment around. It may be good to start back to non charging the electricity.

It is super convenient since it is right in front of the TTU campus. All the amenities work well, and the space is very good. My only complaint is that sometimes the hallways smell bad.

The location is really convenient and that is why I am here. The maintenance takes too long to assist and I usually fix my problems myself, because I cannot wait for them to come. The heaters don’t work. Water gets cold after 10 minutes. The home has humidity and the air would not circulate.

I have been living at ULofts for 3 years now, and it has been an interesting experience. The front office has gotten a lot better over time (Faith and the new CAs (2023) are always available to help). The maintenance team are kind and effective when dealing with an issue. However, sometimes you need to send a request more than once (and sometimes stop by the front office and ask about your request. But this doesn’t happen all the time, so I’m not sure what happens on the process). The location is one of the pros for the complex, but the apartments, the appliances and the amenities are getting out of date (as the rent and other charges keep increasing every year). It can be a good choice if location is the most important, but there are other complexes that may have more to offer and still be close to campus. As a person that has been living here for three years now, and knowing how things evolved over this time, I would keep my options open and take a tour before making a decision.

Love living here! The people are nice, location is perfect, so close to tech! I don’t need worry about getting late or catching the bus because I can go walking!

Very helpful and guided me every step of the way in navigating paperwork, the process and always very welcoming and knowledgeable. They were very quick in responding to any of my questions and concerns.

Everyone’s nice, it’s clean and they kindly fix our problems! They like to make sure we get the experience especially since we live in front of TTU. All the neighbors are nice!

I think the location is pretty convenient, specially for those who don’t have cars. Campus is so close that it would be impractical to drive to school.

Decent for the price and location, but not comparable to surrounding complexes. Lots of shops downstairs and close to everything, which is great. Comfortable apartment, but I find it hard to feel clean. Very persistent roach infestation, the apartment wasn’t clean upon move in, lots of exposed pipes and plumbing, and many things are damaged, broken, or missing. I do like the AC units and bathroom amenities though.

the management and staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They made the move-in process seamless, addressing all my questions and concerns promptly. Their friendly attitude and willingness to help with any issues that arose during my time as a resident were a constant source of comfort.

Good price considering the location, right across the street from Texas Tech campus. Units have all you need and the building has some nice extra amenities.

So far good. It has been 3 years living in Uloft. Staff is good. But hike in rent is painful. Never have a problem of electricity outages or internet problem. Internet is of good quality.

The apartment itself is great. Staff are friendly and helpful! Moving in was made quick and easy through clear and concise direction. My dog and I both enjoy a great view of Lubbock.

Great apartment. Close to TTU. Maintenance is very prompt. Management is great too. No matter how good a property looks, good management is what you need to look for while looking for an apartment.
