Property Ratings at Union at Carrollton Square
Don't let the pretty exterior fool you. Between the noise from the train and the dart outside and the thin walls where you can hear the neighbors sneeze this was a horrible experience. Fun being close to downtown Carrollton, but weekends are crowded with people from outside the community. Regular car break ins and neighborhood kids constantly able to get past security gaits and needing to be chased out by the police. Oh, and expect the constant smell of marijuana, inside and outside.
I had been 2 years, and this is my review as my last day live here. Staffs: The staffs are very nice and helpful. The complex is small enough for them to taking of you. The maintenance staffs are the best. They were so nice when I live there. Amenities: The apartment is pretty new. There are 3 things that I didn't see at other apartment: the trash system is good, the kitchen has the vent to take the air out when you cook (other apartments just have the vent from the microwave only), and parking always had space. My friends came over all the times and was able to park at the garage over night. Security: you need a sensor key to get in the apartment, and every entrance where you scan that key has the camera to keep track who is in and out. This make the complex safe and secure. The only thing is sometimes I hear people from the apartment above me walking. However, I think this is the issue that staffs couldn't have control over due to the way the apartment was built. Overall: I strongly recommended this place. Note to the staffs: Thank you! Keep up with the good work! Khuyen
As a newly single mom, I was looking for security, amenities, and helpful staff. I found them all here. The location is crazy good: Who has a record store and an awesome burger joint on the first floor? Not to mention a gorgeous historic downtown AND a light rail station in walking distance? Turns out I do. Also a gorgeous swimming pool that I want to splash into every time I walk past it. If there's such a thing as apartment jackpot, I guess I hit it.

I have lived at Union Carrollton Square for a little over a year. Please allow me to give you some pros and cons of living here. Pros. 1. The apartments are modern, open, and homey. Real granite counter tops and dark counters make it a cool place to live. 2. The rent is comparable to other apartments with the same amenities in the area. 3. You are within walking distance of 2 count them 2 Diners, Drive ins and Dives restaurants. Twisted Root is located right next to the leasing office and Cane Rosso is located one street over. In addition you have C2 Cafe which is reminiscent of Central Perk with its very own Gunter! 4. The CARES team always has fun activities planned for residents and I highly recommend attending! 5. The location is an easy commute into Dallas. You are within walking distance of the nearest DART train and right next to 35, George Bush, and 635. 6. The staff has always been kind and helpful to me. Cons 1. The train! You can here the twain blast it's horn on occasion. 2. You have to drive a bit in order to get to places like Target, Kroger, Walmart, etc. Hope this review has been helpful

A hit and miss on having a pleasant stay in these apartmeets. There's no concrete in between the buildings on every floor of the new phase building. The upgrades are great, but be ready to hear everything, I mean everything between the walls. Management can only do what's on their power to deal with noise complaints. So if you like your sleep, think twice about living here.
