A suburban sprawl that perfectly accentuates the rest of Lawrence, South Lawrence provides space and tranquility to those who want to be near the home of the University of Kansas, but don’t like the noise of the city. Stretching out from the original city limits of Lawrence, South Lawrence is a much newer addition to the city with just as much charm but with a more suburban feel.
The area encompasses many different neighborhoods and areas, including waterfront properties near Clinton Lake, and rural farmland near Sibleyville. There are endless options in South Lawrence, but no matter where you choose to rent, the amenities of the city center are just minutes away.

Property Ratings at Union at the Loop
The management has made some wonderful changes. They put in lines for outdoor cameras, take noise complaints seriously, and are trying to improve the quality of living here. I just renewed my lease and was one of the first residents. It was dicey for awhile and I wanted to move. Now though my neighbors are more respectful of noise and I feel safer living here.
Union at the Loop in Lawrence KS has poor management who can be dishonest, devious and untrustworthy. Construction on this property was cheap and not quality. Tenants hear tenants in apartments above them loudly, and this is an ongoing problem that most tenants complain about. Washers and dryers are not good. Building hallways never ever get cleaned. This looks like an elite place from the outside, but talk to tenants and they'll tell you a different story. It seems they cut corners in building/constructing this property and most tenants would agree.
Property Manager at Union at the Loop, Responded To This Review
This is important feedback and we greatly appreciate it. We are working closely with our team to research your experience. We work hard to provide our community with the best support.
We have been here for about 6 months. It's awful, stay away if you can. Some of us folks have to live here due to income. One good thing about this place is we as of yet have not run our heat because the heater in the hallway runs 24/7 and bakes us all. A lot of us have to run the a/c to get comfy. You can open your windows if you wish but then you will hear K10/parking lot noise unless you are in the back. There is a new manager now with a staff of maintenance people also but that took months. To this day we haven't found anyone who respects their neighbors here, they slam their doors, run the cars, beep their horns at ungodly hours. They stand by your window at 3 am have loud conversations, Oh and do their laundry at 4 am so it shakes the whole building. Our building doesn't have a bathroom or stove vent that goes to the outside. They use recirculating vents. Guess what they just recirculate the smells. Not good. I could go on
Union at the Loop (managed by The Annex Group) is located in Lawrence KS. This is new rental construction but construction is low quality, as I think most tenants would agree, as is property management. Hallways and stairways in buildings are dirty and don't get cleaned, which shows low standards from management. Maintenance requests seem to get ignored and don't get taken care of quickly if at all. The walls are not very soundproof and you hear noises from other tenants easily, such as tenants walking in the apt. above your, even hearing noises from the outside easily. If you want to live in a quiet place, this isn't the place to live.
