Beneath a canopy of cherry blossoms, woven between national monuments and government buildings, Washington DC is a city full of excitement, surprises, and historic treasures. Washington DC’s breathtaking landmarks aren’t just for tourists. After finding your perfect apartment in the city, you’ll visit them more often than you think! Many are free, and they offer residents a one-of-a-kind backyard, including the Smithsonian, the National Museum of History, the Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the National Zoo, the National Mall, and so much more.
But historic monuments aren’t the only thing that make Washington DC so special. The incredible park-like atmosphere offers a stunning background.

The staff is incompetent. Nobody in maintenance wants to work. The manager Brian was supposed to do work on my apartment BEFORE I moved in 11/1 it is now 12/5. Nothing is done still after 35+ days

Hi - thanks for letting us know we went Beyond Expectations! We'll be sure to share with the team here at Union Heights!
I have lost employment contract due to rat infestation, detained falsely, experience of high blood pressure resulting to ambulance, lost of employment in June 2024 due to being falsely detained living in a unsecured unit. Unsanitary kept conditions with cars breaking into, homeless people sleeping in the building due to lack of secured building.

Greystar in my experience is not a good company. Ever since they took over Union Heights it has been probably after probably. The staff is unprofessional and not very good at problem solving. I also believe the do not care about tenants questions & concerns they are here for a paycheck. Maintenance is well I will say that but the staff/management at Union Heights hate to say this but sucks in my opinion. Do not move here

Although I have only lived here for a few weeks, the apartment is really nice. The amenities are amazing. I have everything I need right here. I can walk across the street to go grocery shopping, buy clothes, drive across to get gas etc. you also get view of the capital.

I love Union Heights. The apartment has all the amenities I need! There's no reason for me to really be outside because everything is here. It's also convenient that there's a mall across the street and Aldi and a CVS. Like everything is near the apartment which makes it worth living here. This is a great living space and entertainment!

Hi, your review about Union Heights made our day! Thanks so much for taking the time to write.
When I first arrived at Union Heights, it was rough. The management was subpar and it took weeks to get simple tasks completed. However, ever since Greystar took over my experience has been much better. I love the size and look of my unit. When I moved in, it was very clean and everything worked properly.

Hey there - our pleasure! Happy you had a great experience. Can't wait to see you again. Take care!
I honestly would not recommend anyone live on the east side of the building. The construction quality is extremely poor as I can hear every single thing that happens in my neighbor’s apartments from the television to simple conversations to their footsteps.

Management is a complete mess all the way around. I pay an additional $250 for parking a month and yet still my car was towed from the garage. It is to be noted that there are more than one way to verify that car is owned by a resident. To top it off I wasn’t notified that my car was towed. I only found out because I wanted to go somewhere and when I looked around I realized that my car was not there. I then proceed to track it to the towing garage. For two days no one contacted me to let me know that my car was towed.

Everything about this place is bad. Leasing office does not return emails and they do not have telephones there or at the front desk. You pay for a garage parking pass and still will not find parking in the garage. Fire alarm constantly goes off and you cannot contact the front desk because they do not have working telephones. Completely overpriced for the service you receive. Move to a nicer building in DC that is professional and has great customer service.

If you’re looking to move here, rent in the more expensive units in the West Building. The East building is infested with mice. INFESTED.

Searching for a first apartment and had the unfortunate luck of interacting with this one. Apparently no one who staffs this building is ever on site because all general calls to the complex itself are routed through a third-party call center, who never seem to be able to get an answer from their offices either. Calls directly to the front desk and property manager/leasing agents are always sent to voicemail and never responded to. Yet that is not the worst of it. No one from this property that I have interacted with has mentioned the past violent occurrences at the complex. Many accounts are too graphic to tell about here but urge you to look them up through reviews on social media. There’s also an entire building’s worth of apartments that don’t show up in the system of the single electricity supplier in DC. On top of everything, the complex is ran by a company with an F on the Better Business Bureau. Until this complex proves its commitment to the security of its residents, I highly suggest you stay away.

Toured this property with Mrs. Ekakene the leasing agent and I can honestly say I never felt so welcome and just valued in such a small time. She took the time to listen to my concerns/questions and was even personable throughout the entire time. To her, it may have just been a regular day doing what she loves but small impacts will always count throughout customer service. Touring the community almost seemed like I was in a library, the hallways were so quiet and across the street, you will find your basic needs such as Safeway, Marshalls, CVS, and food outlets. The community was also about 10 mins away from Union Station and walking distance to the H Street corridor. The amenities are also great and showcase numerous opportunities to escape to a quiet place which is needed at times. I would definitely recommend!

I had an appointment scheduled for 12 noon. I arrived and was told there was only one leasing consultant in the office that day and he was out on a tour and asked if I could wait. I waited 30 minutes and was told the consultant said he would be right out to greet me. 15 minutes later, I asked, so is he coming out or not? He did not. I did not get to tour the property and have yet to receive a call from them. A total waste of my gas and my lunch break. Needless to say, I would not rent here.

We lived there for a year (back when it was still known as flats at atlas). In our experience, the place was well-maintained and the staff courteous etc. my only (minor) complaint was that the leasing office can be difficult to reach and slow to respond.

I love living here at Union Heights. I've been living here for five years and it is a great location in super close proximity to H Street, and grocery stores. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming. The building amenities are nice and will get a nice upgrade soon. The leasing office staff and concierge team are outstanding; they are courteous, accommodating and timely with addressing concerns, solving building repairs and communicating updates related to events, public utilities and public safety. Definitely worth the price of living in DC.

My mother and I toured with Tamara, and it was one of the best apartment tours I’ve ever received. She was knowledgeable, caring, and overall a huge factor as to why I wanted to live here. Unfortunately due to roommate issues I was unable to, but the building is amazing, the rooms and amenities are phenomenal, if you get the chance to live here - do it!

We absolutely love the Flats!! Quiet, clean, beautiful apartments. The pool area is fantastic as well as the common areas. Very modern and classy. Tamara and Katherine were so helpful with all our moving needs. They made it so easy and stress free. Love the location, just a short walk to shopping and restaurants. The first and only apartment we looked at!!

I've lived in DC for the past 6 years and have never had the pleasure of living at a residence with such a professional and friendly staff until I chose Flats at Atlas. For the past 2 1/2 years the leasing agents have always been professional and the front desk/24 hr. concierge has been a tremendous benefit and asset to the building, especially Tamara who has been wonderful! If you are looking for a modern apartment with amenities in a great location I would highly reccomend Flats at Atlas.

This has been one of the best experiences,I have always lived in a home and this feel like one already really even better. Knowing that living alone can be safe ,comfortable and beautiful all at once. The complex is managed well, responsive to my needs. I can site alone or come to the club room where there is always some one. The club room is airy the TV is much larger then mine and the computer room awesome . I said the apartment is better then home, there is no need for me to make sure the gutter are cleaned out or if the basement is going to flood. Also the parking is one of the best parts, living in the city is hard with the traffic, oneway streets and I won"t have to do any snow for the first time in my adult life. I have storage, excise room and what else does a girl need at 70,almost forgot everything is within walking distance

Great apartment building. Well managed and steps away from the H Street Corridor. Has an 24 hr gym, great community room, sports lounge and wonderful atmosphere. Also really affordable for the location of the property.

I was living in SW, WDC for almost ten years never thinking that I would move out of SW, WDC until I changed jobs and had to ride by the Flats at Atlas everyday. The building is beautiful both inside and out. The apartments are modern and have just enough space for singles, couples and families. The employees are very friendly and helpful, always welcoming you home. They provide great entertainment in bringing the whole building together, like a community with Wine-Down Wednesdays, movie and television screening. Also keeping you up-to-date with what is going on in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Flats At Atlas...Great place to live.

The Flats at Atlas apartments are perfect for younger renters. The building is well kept, amenities are many, and the building frequently holds community based events. the front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I have had a great experience so far here and look forward to extending my lease.
