Set along the Bourbeuse River and just an hour west of St. Louis lies Union. A small city that’s big on local businesses, Union has something for everyone. Experience top-notch barbecue on East Main St., or join the crowd at Maggie’s Over the Creek for good drinks and karaoke.
Union City Park is a great spot for kids. There’s a splash park that will help beat the heat in the summer, and the annual Union City Fair brings the whole city out for rides and live music. East Central College lies on the east side of town across the river, and there’s also a collection of shopping centers that will take care of almost any need. If St. Louis is calling your name, or one of the many state parks around Union, US-50 leads to I-44, making a road trip simple.

Property Ratings at Union Place Apartments
I am going through a divorce and was in no position to buy a home until the divorce is final. I decided to rent an apartment while my husband and I were sorting things out. I found a few in my current city, but then ventured out to the next town over and found a very nice apartment complex near my work at a very affordable price. It is a smaller complex, fairly new, clean and safe. It is a two bedroom with 2 baths, kitchen, living room, dining area and laundry closet. There is a small storage room outside the apartment. I have a nice patio entrance. The apartment is energy efficient. The apartment manager is very accommodating and takes the time to get to know all of the tenants. The maintenance is awesome. The complex is sprayed for bugs 4 times a year. Maintenance requests are all addressed immediately. There is ample parking for residents and guests. Now that I have lived in the apartment for approximately 6 months now, I can't imagine living in a house ever again. I love that I am not responsible for maintenance and am not tied down to yard work and outside upkeep, which I hate to do. I now have time to complete my bachelor's degree in comfort. I can travel with the money I save. I can have friends over and be proud of where I live. I have met some kind and wonderful people in the complex. Everyone looks out for everyone. I love it here.
