Property Ratings at Union South Bay
Vary bad service and ignore all your request for any repairs. I have never seen such a bad management team. Moreover, what we suspect is the utilities bills, possibly charging the tenants more than actual cost. Anyway I will move out ! ! !
Property Manager at Union South Bay, Responded To This Review
We're so sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced. We'd love nothing more than to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Please contact our main office directly and we'll get started on a resolution.
Consider twice about moving here. Seems that management only cares about money not so much the residents.
Great experience so far. Love the dog area for my senior dog. The amenities are above and beyond for an apartment complex. Great location to the freeway and other amenities
My husband and I noticed how great the amenities, landscaping, staffing and our unit was and had to make this our new home. The staff makes it even more pleasurable being here because the got out of their way for us and make sure were taken care of! Michael, Joe, Doreen and Carlos all have been extremely amazing!
Excellent location, well kept landscaping, clean and secured entrance. Excellent customer service team.
Great experience so far, great groundskeeping as well as great customer service in the leasing office.
DO NOT LEASE HERE. I’ve lived in many places throughout my life, and I have to say that this place is easily the most poorly run and poorly built of them all. I have been here for only three weeks and I have already dealt with a barrage of problems ranging from poor customer service, pest problems (even after they sent out pest control) in a “brand new place,” water leaks, clogs, inability to receive mail (on top of the fact you have to pay money to receive mail), poor electrical wiring, clothes damaged in their terrible washer machines, and more. In addition to all this, they have completely duped residents into thinking that their utility usage is based on their own consumption. Instead, the company simply takes the cost of utilities and spreads it across residents. For example, I used 210 gallons of water less than a previous month and my water bill was significantly higher because it is not based on my own consumption. Every time I ask for the bills directly from the provider, and not from the management company, they simply do not respond to my request. What does the lease say? Well their lease is opaque at best and fraudulent at worst. And I say this as an attorney. There are endless examples of their underhanded tactics that are not spelled out in the lease. SECURITY GATE: My favorite rationale that management gives me is why the security gate is wide open on weekends for any of the neighborhood criminals to drop by and commit a crime on the property. Management claims that the gate is broken/defective. When I ask them how is the gate broken only on Fri-Sun but works fine the rest of the week, they do what they do best, they don't respond. The gate has been "broken" for several weeks in total in my three months tenancy here to date. Please do not believe a word they say. Since, my last review, they agreed to let me out of this lease without penalty so that I wouldn't bring legal action against them which I have in writing. A few weeks later they hired attorneys and reneged the agreement. Now I am forced to bring legal action against them to enforce the termination. This place is nothing short of ridiculous and will make your experience here awful. Additionally, my fellow tenants and I are going to have to form a tenants union to put fire to their feet. I have successfully dissuaded many from living here and I hope to do the same for whoever is reading this post.
-Terrible management. They are disingenuous and incompetent -Poor construction. This is a brand new building and things are falling apart -Cheap appliances -Security gate regularly malfunctions exposing residents to crime when it’s constantly open or making people late for work when it doesn’t open. -Insect infestation. Many residents have complained about this problem. -Way overpriced for what you get.
Love the response time when there is an issue. Great service, professional, and quick. This building is maintained very well. Love living here!
Although I have only lived at Union South Bay for a short time I have been impressed by both management and maintenance staff. Seems to be a pleasant place to live and work.
I really like the Union South Bay. It is clean, safe, and modern. The staff here are very helpful and professional. The amenities are the best. I would highly recommend the Union South Bay to anyone looking for a great community to join!
The Union South Bay is a gem in Carson. It has such a beautiful feel to it as a community living complex. The amenities are excellent. Everything is new, modern, and clean. I love this place. I love my new hone. The location, the amenities, the staff is awesome, from the security guard to the maintenance man and the leasing staff.

New, Safe, Clean, Convenient and Comfortable residence with professional maintenance team. I love my apartment.
Union South Bay apartment has made my move in one of the best experience. Staff are very kind, respectful very professional.
Union South Bay is where you want to live if you want quality.
Decent living space. Management could be better about their responsiveness and understanding of residents needs. Following up with residents or checking in would be ideal if a resident experienced a building issue that interfered with their daily living.
The apartments are very nice and the staff is great
I'm a new resident of Union South Bay and loving it. The leasing/community team has been so helpful and welcoming. My apartment hunt took me to several locations in the South Bay, but the new building, the many features, the location, and floor plans sold me on my new apartment home. I'm loving it here.
I love living at Union South Bay! The apartment features are modern and chic. It is close to major freeways, there are so many restaurants and shops that are walkable from home. My dogs love the pet relief area! There are many amenities for the residents to use including a full gym, a pool with lanes to exercise and cabana area to lay out, bonfire/bbq area to relax, hangout and cook, yoga and movie theatre area. Love that the clubhouse/lobby area offers tap beer everyday and pool tables with a chill area with 4 large screen tvs to hang out. I'm am very happy living here! Great amenities, prime location, and building is secured. Love this place!!!!
