There's a lot happening in Downtown Chapel Hill -- restaurants, shops, art galleries, museums, and (of course) the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Downtown starts at the university and extends north and east past Franklin Street, the main drag through downtown. As the heart of the neighborhood, Franklin Street has it all -- great boutiques, trendy restaurants, brick-paved sidewalks, bike racks, mature trees, and a dash of history to tie it all together.
The neighborhood's seamless blend of public art and open green space help create the fun, funky atmosphere that sets the perfect backdrop for the live concerts, art walks, outdoor movie nights, and pub crawls that take place here. Some must-see events include Festifall Arts Festival, an exciting event that includes an artists' market, live music, food, hands-on activities, and more.

Property Ratings at University Apartments Chapel Hill
I have lived here for ~6 months now and have renewed my lease for next year. I am a student, and so getting to campus on a daily basis is an important factor for me. There is a great back pathway that brings you near north campus in under a 10-minute walk!! I use this almost daily. There is also a bus route stop right in front of the apartments going each direction right in front of the apartment. The amenities are great as well! They have an office with amazing staff who are so responsive and helpful. There is also free coffee, a great gym, and much more! I love living here and my apartment has really become my home!

Thank you for leaving us such great feedback! We cannot agree more that location is one of our best qualities. We love to hear that you are enjoying our staff, and upgraded amenities like the fitness center! Let us know if you need anything else!
I've been living here for almost 3 years and it's wonderful. Everything that a graduate student needs is offered: a bus stop right in front of the building that takes you straight to campus, laundry & fitness rooms, a SUPER kind office staff, incredibly responsive maintenance team, and occasional snacks for residents in the office :)

We are so happy to hear you have had such a positive experience at University Apartments! Hope to see you at an event soon!
I've lived here for over a year and have had a great experience! The new management has really made a difference and you can tell that they care about their residents. Any time I have an issue, maintenance handles it within the same day. I hate that I'm moving but I have highly recommended this place to many of my friends and family.

We are going to miss you! Thank you for welcoming some of our positive changes recently. We hope you continue to enjoy the rest of your stay!
Upon moving in, the apartment was somewhat clean, but there were nasty mattress covers on the nasty mattresses. You could tell that only a surface cleaning had been done. What has been really frustrating, though, has been dealing with the management and their on-line payment service. After experiencing problems trying to pay on-line, I have left messages with the office staff and sent emails, but have never had any response. Can't wait until the lease is up!
It's the dirtier place I have ever been so far. The stuff rude and not helpful.
I went on a tour recently and really liked the model. The price is fair, the location is easily the best in Chapel Hill, but the halls and laundry room were disgusting. The whole building looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months, except the model, and the halls all smelled. It seems like an easy fix, but it was clear nobody even bothered to clean the laundry room. I was on the main floor, the basement floor, and the second floor, where they have a cool little study room, but each had its own distinct, moldy, dirty smell. Janitors aren't that expensive, or maybe just have one of the three people that were sitting around the office take a mop and air freshener to the building. Seems easy enough.
I love this place. I only have to worry about one bill each month and can walk to class or ride the bus. The staff was awesome and I can't wait to move in!
