Downtown Huntsville encompasses the triangle formed by Interstate 45, State Route 19, and U.S. Highway 190 in the center of Huntsville. It’s here that you’ll find the bulk of the city’s culinary and retail offerings, as well as a diverse mix of rentals including charming and low-lying apartment complexes and single-family homes. Downtown Huntsville is also where you’ll find the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, located on the site of the Houston’s 15-acre homestead and home to several historic buildings. Highway 190 houses a number of taquerias, boutiques, and more. Seeing as Huntsville and the downtown area itself border the Sam Houston National Forest, this is a perfect spot for outdoor lovers looking for a rental near the convenience of the city.

Property Ratings at University Club Hunstville
In the 10 months living at these apartments I had multiple issues with maintenances and front office people. First, when I moved in the whole apartment was a MESS nothing was cleaned, stained carpet, toilet was disgusting, shower tub was super dirty along with a string of other things. Second, the sink leaked, the shower leaked, toilet out right stopped flushing and took MONTHS to fix and the floors were uneven. Third, outrages move out fees we’re giving to me and it cited that the apartment was not cleaned up to their standard even though the apartment was unclean the day of my move in. So many issues so just do your best to stay away from this place and find literally anything else.
We moved in two week ago, and It was shock for me and my roommate. When we walked in there were cigarette butts, broken glass pieces, burned matches and some food pieces on the carpet. The managment told us one day before, we are cleaning for you but no. I am pretty sure they did not use vacuum cleaner in our apartment. They did not say sorry about it. Please do not do yourself and stay another apartment not here.
Look, at this apartment you get what you pay for. Yes, there are some things wrong with the apartment, there is a reason the rent per month isn't more, but overall I have found the past year enjoyable there and I look forward to my next year here as well. The distance to campus saves me from having to buy a campus parking pass and there isn't a ton of loud party animals keeping me up at 1 AM. The laundry facility is a little expensive for my taste but it isn't terrible. I personally have found the staff pleasant and cordial every time I have interacted with them. I put in three separate service requests within my first three weeks of moving in and they replaced my garbage disposal, my fridge and my front door. It was extremely prompt and the work was done well. I would recommend this property to other college age students looking to live on their own. If you keep your expectations in check this will turn out to be a great place!
UPDATE: They tried to charge me for the carpet even though it was their leaky AC unit that caused damage! DO NOT MOVE TO THIS PLACE!!!! First of all, the staff do not know what they are doing. We see new people weekly and always give us incorrect information. Most of the time they refuse to show you what apartment you'll be living in because they know if you see it, you won't want to stay. They are not trustworthy. My best friend and I lived in Paper Moon first and the place was infested with roaches!! And since we couldn't find any other place to move, we stayed in a new apartment at university club later that year. The place was worse! The kitchen counter was falling apart, the shower head was out-dated and did not work, the air conditioner was not working as well, the garbage disposal did not work, the dish washer was moldy, and when we first moved in, the apartment was dirty! At one point the air conditioner was leaking and damped the already in bad shape carpet and I called maintenance and they said it was because of the humidity. The staff is clueless! Anyway several weeks passed and the stuff in my closet were so moldy I had to throw it away! They decided to fix the wet carpet and it took nearly 2 months for them to finish! And to top it off they blamed us for all of that! ALSO WE WERE WITHOUT AC FOR ALMOST A WHOLE WEEK AND IT WAS SUMMER TIME!!! If I could give them zero stars I would! Horrible place. The only good thing about this place is the distance from school. But not worth all the stress they'll put you through.
Everyone should be aware that they will charge you ridiculous fees to move out. I moved out Saturday December 29th at the end of my lease. The hours posted at the office stated they would be open for me to move out. They were not. They charged me $75 for an admin move out fee and $35 for a parking sticker that was not returned. I would have done this if a representative was available for me to speak with. Now i am stuck with these charges and other petty charges that my $99 deposit did not cover. They take advantage of college students, do not let you dispute these charges, and threaten you if you do not pay. Please think twice before having to put up with these crooks.
If you can avoid moving here please do, I rented this apartment for my daughter who happens to be a clean freak ( really ), and when she moved out they charged about $370 dollars for cleaning, they charged for the air conditioning grills being dirty, the kitchen floor not being mopped, the bathroom not being cleaned, the apartment not being vacuum, yes $370, did I mentioned that I had to take my shoes off when I visited, if anything this apartment was left in better condition. I tried talking to the manager but they just gave me the run around and they cannot help me, they gave me number to call in California. please understand is not the money, I told my daughter just to pay with a check but when I saw the charges and what they were for, it was ridiculous. furthermore they are charging for cleaning but they also said they will remodel the apartment, I guess I am paying for the remodeling. sure they are nice when they are taking your check but that is about it. don't even get me started on maintenance.. GOOD LUCK
Horrible management and continually act in bad faith. They will craft damage claims to exactly equal your deposit. The manager will refuse to walk through the property and tell you "it's good" when you move out and then send you a final accounting that, miraculously, equals your deposit. When some items were successfully disputed, others were adjusted so the new total was, again, equal to my deposit. If you decide to live here, please learn from my experience and INSIST the manager walk the unit with you and sign that everything is good. Don't trust her or her company to be honest and fair. Their business model is designed to take advantage of transitory students.
The worst apartment I have ever lived in. The apartment was infested with roaches the whole time I lived there. The countertops in the kitchen look like they just paint over them and it just does not look professional or good at all. You can hear the people upstairs walking around and you can hear when they flush their toilet. Parking sucks, if you come home after 9 during the week you will not find a parking spot in the parking lot by the office. Amy & Kimberly in the office are just out to get your money and will lie to you about everything. You have to get everything in writing or they will go back on what they say. If you have an issue you might as well deal with it yourself because the office is literally no help. If you can do not live here, it is a total waste of money. You will regret living here so spend more money on a nicer apartment.
Have been living here for over a year, and have nothing good to say. Management takes no responsibility, writes work orders on post its and never turns them in to get anything done. They are dirty and infested with roaches and mold but they don't do anything to solve it and act like they could care less. Paying way too much to be living in a dump.
I've lived here 3 years. The apartment itself if decent. Office isn't open on weekends, which is highly inconvenient if you work normal hours. Poor communication from management, I had issues with lack of notification regarding parking stickers, and laundry facilities operation. Good response time from maintenance staff, always within 24 hours.
For this college living space being $619 it is the cheapest I found for a one bedroom apartment literally right across the street. 2 walk in closest, 1 bedroom and 1 bath and about 644 square feet. So glad i got the last one available on April Fools Day :) Moving in today and i am excited!!
I hope you like mold, roaches, and multiple maintenance issues. DO NOT LIVE HERE. These apartments are absolutely awful, they need to be torn down!!!! I had to stay at my parent's house months before the lease ended due to allergies from the mold!!! But the maintenance guy was super sweet!
Manager she is a complete lair. I have been charged extra for my car sticker. They dont even have a reliable mail box. every time you got any package you have to go to office to pick up. We don't have water for whole two days and we where having our finals. You all can imagine the situation. Again we have been lied saying water will be on by next evening, which it didn't. The apartment lies right by the road, its noisy. and most of all its old. you can listen you neighbor walking upstairs, shower, and restroom flush.
I did not move in but we visited to see if we were interested. The price is affordable it seems compared to conrerstone which is right next door. Only major downside is that the washer and dryers are not in the rooms and you have to pay $1.25 a load. With an average of three loads a week plus drying that can add up and it almost makes the savings not worth it. The weight room is pretty small and insignificant but you are close enough to the HKC to go to the gym there and work out. It would be nice if they had a hot tub but Owell. The staff was friendly when we asked about seeing an apartment. It would have been nice if we could have gone in to see an apartment but all they had were photo's at the time.
