Property Ratings at University Courtyard
Super close to campus, and the Rexburg temple is just up the street. It is a little bit smaller than anticipated, but it is overall a good deal. There are windows and natural lighting, but there's only one really usable closet.
This apartment complex is super close to campus, and features a great club house, laundry, and wifi included in the price, as well as extra storage space.
The apartments are nice. Small, but with good amenities and close to campus. There is plenty of storage space in the kitchen and bedroom. The staff is the best of any place I have ever lived. The only real downside I have found is the lack of AC. The apartments are very well insulated, which would be a blessing in the winter. However, during the summer, it keeps any and all heat inside. It's typically too hot to sleep comfortably.
Pretty nice place, with amazing location for students. It is an easy 5-10 minute walk to campus depending on where you are going. A bit disappointed there is no A/C but that is true for a lot of place in Rexburg and is only a problem for about 4 months of the year. It is pricey, with utilities you are paying about 2 dollars per square foot which is about 425, but utilities are flatrate so you know what you owe which can be really nice. Internet speed is amazing and other tenants are generally really nice. The management is really kind and efficient.
These apartments were perfect for me and my new husband! We loved being here, loved the layout of the apts, loved the media room, the new clean appliances, and the location by the temple. Also the management is amazing which we all know can make or break a place so needless to say this place is amazing! You’ll love it!
Management here is great and the apartments are a great distance from campus! The apartment isn't huge, but for couples who don't need a lot of space, it is a really nice apartment! Perfect for newlyweds
We've lived at University Courtyard for a total of about a year over the past two years of marriage. We returned because we wanted an apartment that was close to campus, especially since we have one car and didn't want to deal with a parking pass. The location is definitely the best part of the apartment! The inside's pretty nice too. The appliances and heating work. There are a couple of minor issues but overall it's nice! The biggest problem we have is how expensive it is to live here. Again, we chose to come back because it's a nice place close to campus, but it would be nice to live in one of the same-sized apartments for a couple hundred dollars less monthly. We will be moving soon because we have a baby and aren't in love, but if location is your highest priority and it's just you and your spouse, this is a good apartment. The managers and maintenance have always been responsive as well. The laundry situation is always difficult because of so many people sharing so many washers and dryers that go out so often.
Small apartments for high prices. The unit does not come with a washer/dryer in unit despite the price tag. This leads all apartments to the laundry room in the clubhouse where washers and dyers are constantly broken and the room itself is over flooded with personal belongings and hair. The apartment walls are THIN. If your neighbor laughs, you can hear it. And as married housing, you can imagine what else you can hear. The internet cuts out randomly, especially with all of the online classes being taken currently. I can never keep track of who the manager is at any given time when they switch them out so often. Not everyone is going to be honest with all the gifts being promised for reviews online. Location is great and there is a lot of potential here being lost.
My husband and I took over another couple’s lease. We have been here for a month and haven’t been too impressed. The management is newer. They aren’t very professional. The neighbors are noisy, particularly during the quiet hours (10pm-8am). Pros: there is plenty of parking and free laundry in the clubhouse. Everything is in close proximity. People usually tend to themselves but I will say, the walls are pretty thin. We’ve had some uncomfortable situations with that. Lots of new married couples live here so you can put the dots together. For the price, I would expect a W/D & AC. We do not plan to stay here once the lease is finished. Good place for a young couple to start out but wouldn’t necessarily recommend long term. The manager isn’t too patient especially with these COVID-19 circumstances.
I really liked university courtyard because of the good management. I also really like how nice the apartments are. For a couple starting out, this is a great apartment. It’s also really close to campus which helps me and my wife out a lot.
While the apartment is kind of small, it really has been a nice place to live! It is right across the street from campus, so we can walk to class and not have to fight for parking. The laundry is in the club house, but it is free. We also really like that everything, including the utilities, is included in the price. It's just a flat price, no matter how much electricity or gas you use.
My husband and I were fortunate enough to take over someone's lease. This allowed us to move in quickly, which is what we needed. William, the apartment manager, is wonderful. He is super friendly and does a very good job at making you feel welcomed. He has been making a lot of updates to the systems put in place, which I feel are all reasonable and appreciated. The size of the apartments are fairly small for the price, but the close proximity to campus helps. I do feel that we pay more for utilities (parking, internet, power) than I have in the past. Maintenance requests are handled promptly and adequately. We have a furnished apartment, which is helpful, but I do feel as though some updated/more modern furniture would be appreciated by all. The laundry room is free for residents, which is a HUGE bonus for an apartment complex that doesn't have W/D hookups in each apartment. Overall, my husband and I enjoy living here but we likely won't renew our lease even if we do stay in Rexburg.
