Thin walls everything is broken so easily maintenance horrible just some bad apartments all the way around
Please think carefully before choosing to rent here. I left on September 30, 2022, and had I not lived here for a year, I never would have moved in. They have NO security, for one. There are gates there that DO NOT lock, so people's cars have been broken into numerous times. My neighbor's car, who lived in the apartments above me and lived next to the leasing office, was stolen. 2. People park their cars and then walk to the twin peaks; there is no designated parking. making parking difficult, particularly if you arrive home late in the day. 3. They DO NOT HONOUR emotional support animals, and even if there is no damage to the apartment, they will not refund your pet deposit. Since I moved in on October 11,2022, these apartments have had THREE different managers. The communication with management is still terrible, and they repeatedly misplaced my physician's ESA letter. They don't return calls, and they don't respond to emails in a professional manner.
This apartment complex has always sucked pretty bad, and thankfully we left right before the new owners took over. This is because: 1. they decided to increase rent by 300 dollars while doing less than the previous owners did to fix the problems with the complex 2. they decided to charge me my full rent for a month that I was not even living there, and have completely ghosted me since moving out so I guess I will never get that money back. These guys are greasy and shady. Also apparently someone got murdered after I left so.
I’ve been here 11 years and the knew management is the worst. They don’t keep there word and go back on there promises. Be careful and get everything in writing, don’t trust them!
When the new company took over they could not even bother to be in the office for over a week and now they say they want to go paperless and are going to charge us for that and as an alternative if we try to pay rent at the office they will charge us$50 extra. They are not even set up for us to pay online yet. They can not take care of simple things but can apprently only take care of yard work and nothing else. They are just trying to look good.
Cute apartment, poorly managed.. My son moved in here in May. The male leasing agent took 3 days to complete his application because there was no supervisor to approve. We reported the day he moved in no AC. Then recalled that night. The tech said he never got the message. The AC went out one other time, they added freon. NOW it's been out 5 days. I called the 2nd day and was told by the manager that they had no certified ac techs. That they called a hole in the wall AC company on Friday afternoon but it would be fixed. Well you guessed it... It's Monday no AC all weekend. No effort to make my son comfortable with portable AC's in August in a loft apartment. No communication at all. This morning the manager refused to take my call. The male leasing agent said they would call somebody. 5 days later??? It's 9am and corporate office is not open yet. I ended up calling code compliance and now a lawyer.
Like everyone else says, THESE ARE THE WORST APARTMENTS! I can not wait to leave, I have one more month. When I first moved in, they didn't clean the place properly and my apartment were literally infested with roaches. Not a couple of roaches here and there, like they were all over the walls, in the cabinets and lived in the door frames. It took them a month to fix that. There's cops in here almost everyday, it's really not the best area. Washers and dryers are always broken and they don't accept visa cards like they claim, so I have to get gift cards just to do my laundry. Now my A.C. has been broken for about 2 weeks now. That's right, 2 WEEKS. They "fixed" it 3 times and it broke every time. Then they finally decided to replace the entire system. They started doing this a couple days ago. I have called twice today, I have gotten no updates, and no one has stopped by today. I'm livid. I have a cat and she is panting, cats don't w pant, it's very bad when they do. I assume they don't want to deal with me because I'm young and they think I don't know any better. The prices are nice, but it's seriously not worth it. STAY AWAY FROM THESE APARTMENTS!
Iv been living here for 10months. I have not had a issue. I was a little scared of moving here from The reviews I had read but I still took a chance. For the price and location I can't complain. Just like any other apt it's gana have its issues. Yes you see roaches mainly due to rain witch is understandable, not always are they going to come fix your simple things that same day, it just depends on what it is. My expirence here has been great. No complaints. I originally signed a 6 month lease but still here because I like it. I always tell people don't expect a T-bone steak when u paid for pork chops.
These apartments are listed as luxury apt. but they are really OLD.. The appliances are still gold. They have not made gold appliances since the 70's. The stove sends electrical charges and pop fire whenever you turn it on. There are only 1-2 burners on the stove that works at any one time. When you tell management about it, they send someone to re-wire the stove, but it still shocks you. You are also shocked when you touch the wall switch to turn LIGHTS on and off. Big Squirrels come in the apt thru the fireplace. If you live downstairs, when the residents over your apt uses the dishwasher, the water from their dishwasher comes into your apt and drips from the kitchen light fixture. This is probably why it shocks you when you touch the light fixture. You can pay your rent on time during the term of your lease, and follow every rule, and they will still keep your deposit and find other things to try to get you to pay even more. My advice is to take photos of the apt inside before you move out. They will try to make your credit bad by putting charges on your credit that you do not owe and that is not part of your contract. When you ask for an itemization of the charges with receipts of repairs or whatever, they ignore your request. When you call to speak to the property manager, she is always out on property when you tell them who is calling. She does not return calls. They try to charge 5 times your water bill on the final water bill. OH and the water is really hard. It is not fit to cook with, wash your clothes or to drink. The dishes you wash in the dishwasher will have to be rewashed by hand because a white powdery film is left on the dishes from the hard water. And please do not put it in your car radiator. It will mess up your engine. They do not provide an email address. YOU have to come in the office to pay rent. You cannot pay rent or take care of anything on-line. If the first of the month falls on a holiday and the office is closed, they will charge you late fee when they re-open, when they do not provide an alternate way to pay your rent without coming directly into the office and paying by check or Money order. They do not try to make it convenient for tenants, but this makes it very convenient for them to access late fees on you. There was several murders at these apt also, so be very careful. They also have a Bedbug epidemic there.
Worst place to live in San Antonio... Roaches, Rude Management, Inconsiderate people, bad location... Stay far far far away!

You get what you pay for here. Cheap rent equals cheap management. The maintenance guy is rude and doesn't finish repairs. The laundry facility is always filthy not to mention half of the machines don't work. If you want to live comfortably and in peace this is not the place. I recommend spending a bit more money somewhere else and not deal with this place!
This is a quaint apartment complex. You can enjoy the sweet sounds of IH 10 traffic and the outdated splendor of 1970s architecture. All in all, the apartment complex and all of its employees are great, with all the southern charm you can expect from Texas grown staff and families, Stone Oak Place is truly a place for family, fun, and family fun. It's conveniently located in the middle of literally every place you could think to go (Whataburger, HEB, four different banks, where else is there?) and the back entrance is off of a very quiet street that can get you to most of those places. With newly renovated apartments, lovely outdoor amenities, and gorgeous greenery throughout the complex, it's easy to forget the busy city life and relax at home. You might even mistake the sound of car horns for babbling brooks.
My wife and I have lived in both pricier and cheaper apartments, and we haven't been to one we liked more than Stone Oak. The manager Marlene really likes to take care of the residents. I was going to UTSA, and you really can't find a better place with this mix of convenience and price. The only issue we had were occasional roaches and the smaller size and age of the units. Overall I'd recommend them very much.
After letting the manager know what was important to me for me to sign lease the manager said it would be done. After signing the lease it still is not complete.
