Situated between the Connecticut River and the Mount Tom Range, Holyoke is a charming town brimming with natural beauty and rich historical roots. Once known as the Paper Capital of the World, Holyoke was initially developed as the nation’s first planned industrial community. Remnants of Holyoke’s past are abundant, with numerous historic factories and machinery still in use today.
Holyoke provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, with many popular recreational destinations in town such as Mount Tom State Reservation, Holyoke Heritage State Park, Ashley Reservoir, and the Connecticut River. The town is renowned for its strong sense of community pride, which is fostered in part by an array of special events, including the famous Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
Holyoke balances its natural beauty and historic charm with a bevy of modern amenities, from excellent shopping options at Holyoke Mall to diverse dining and ornate architecture in the downtown area.

Property Ratings at University Park Apartments
Walls are paper thin and you will hear your neighbors. Appliances are decades old. Maintenance guys are rude. You can do a lot better for the same price elsewhere.
University Park apartments in Holyoke, MA. is a great place to live. It is in a great neighborhood and is so quite. The apartments and grounds are well maintained and constantly being upgraded. Beautiful built in pool and tennis courts. Close to highway, Holyoke Mall, grocery stores and more. I lived here for about 8 1/2 years then left when I bought a house, sold my house and moved back just over a year ago and I feel like I'm home again. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to rent in the area whether you want long term or short you can rent month to month.
Moved in November 1 2015 and I have been pleased ever since. Great place to live. Quiet and fun. They were very accommodating, and winter snow removal was always done promptly and well done. Lawn care is always done weekly and everything is well put together. Staff is friendly and very inviting. I just love this place!
