Property Ratings at University Village
I live in phase 9 of the university village and would highly suggest not living on campus. There is always some construction going on and the noise levels are too high 24*7.
UV does not seem to care about is residents since it has no on campus competition. The internet is terrible and goes down for days at a time. Our dryer hasn't been fixed and we've lived here a year and put in more requests than I can count. The power surges often and destroys our electronic components. The prices are extremely expensive and increase about 5% each year.
Affordable living space for students, but the staff is uniformed and unhelpful. Would not recommend to anyone, unless ona tight budget.
I just recently moved into my apartment on campus and I love it thus far. The employees at the leasing office are extremely helpful and I can walk to class, the library, the pool, the gym, and the shuttle bus which takes us to the various stores and the train station. It's incredibly convenient to have everything so close together within reasonable distance.
It's a small old apartment that needs renovation, but thanks to IKEA we made it quite comfy and fresh looking. The living room and bedroom are actually quite big for the apartment's size, but the closets and restroom are a bit too small. Great location- close to great restaurants and grocery stores and to major highways. There's a nice soccer field close by for work out, and two large pools, basketball and volleyball court in the condominium. The common areas are well maintained and its walking distance to UTD. We have called 1933 our home for 5 years and will greatly miss living here, it's quite and peaceful.
