Just north of Anaheim lies Fullerton, an energetic community full of public parks, unique shops, and an enviable variety of arts and entertainment options. This diverse area exhibits classic California, with Spanish-style homes and apartments set behind picturesque palm trees on wide boulevards. The area is full of families, artists, working professionals, and more, giving it a livelier atmosphere than surrounding areas.
The huge number of students enrolled at Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton comprise a hefty chunk of the local population, and clusters of restaurants and nightlife hotspots can be found around their campuses. The Continental Room and Matador Cantina both command a crowd on the weekends, and Brea Mall offers up some of the best shopping outside central LA.
Theater and film events fill the calendar, and the local music scene has produced dozens of notable alumni over the years.

Property Ratings at Uptown Fullerton
Nice new apartments, dog friendly! Jayda and the team have done a great job keeping up the property and making the residents feel at home.
I've looking for a new apartment in the Fullerton area and I found these on Apartments.com. I was greeted and assisted by Alicia and she was very knowledgable and helpful. She had answers to all of my questions and was friendly. Definitely a top contender for my next apartment!
We love Uptown Fullerton ! We appreciate everything you have done for our family. Anytime we have a work order, the maintenance guys come same day and evnthough I have told them they don't have to wear a mask they always ask. The girls in the office are the best! We actually feel welcome and comfortable to just stop by and say hi and grab a cup of coffee..... plus Harper always gets a treat!! We still have a few more months left of our lease but we don't have any doubts about signing again ! Thank you for making us feel right at home !
I contemplated hard about this review as I feel 5 stars are only deserved for above and beyond service. As I was writing the review I realized Uptown really does their best to accommodate everyone. I had an issue with my parking neighbor and the office moved me closer to my unit and upgraded me to a garage. I had an issue with ants outside my unit and reported it to the office and they had maintenance go that day to add more weather stripping to my door to ensure none got in and clean up outside my door. The manager also had pest control there the next day to treat the exterior of my unit. The community is nice and quiet and the units are beautiful! I shopped around a lot before making my decision and Uptown was the best bang for my buck and I received the best customer service. The above warrants a 5 star in my book!
I lived at Uptown Fullerton twice in the past 4 years and loved it both times. The grounds are very well-maintained, maintenance staff is super friendly. Loved walking my dog every morning at the on site Dog Park. Residents were friendly, made a few life-long friends. Great memories
Honestly one of the best places to live in the area love it here
Office and maintenance really nice, next to freeways and cal state Fullerton really quiet considering how big the complex is. Great price for such nice upgraded apartments! Love the hardwood flooring!
Love living here but came to write a review about how excellent the community has been with COVID. With a cut in hours and being up for renewal I was scared I was going to get an increase and spoke to the manager who let me know they were holding off on renewals and for me not to worry everyone was in it together. The office sent out hand sanitizers and goody bags to help everyone stay sanitized and also limited the number of people in the gym to ensure social distancing. Maintenance still did some work in my unit for me even though they didn't have too. I just wanted to say thank you to Uptown and the maintenance team for being great during these hard times.
Everything is close by Lots of amenities Great staff Easy parking better then my old place
The slogan is Live Happy and I do! Pet friendly which is very important to me. My dog has made many new puppy friends and the community has two dog parks that I love. Apartments are fairly priced, I searched plenty before making my decision and this was the one, take a tour and see for yourself. I also was assigned 2 parking spots and able to rent another which no property in the area was offering this when I was looking.
Been here for two months now. It's peaceful and management is very responsive. They really take care of the property and you don't have to wait long for service. It's been pleasant here.
Fell in love with the walk in closets and farmer sink!! Great area, pools in each building, nice neighbors, love the office staff always very responsive and if there is a water shut off like the reviews say they do give notice or at least I have always received an email. Next to Parks and the mall.
Lived here for awhile and finally made time to write a review. I have renewed twice, need I say more? Plan on renewing this year if they me lol. No in all honesty I love this place. Keep up the great work guys!
They are hard at work ensuring the community is disinfected and following healthy and safety tips, my roommate and I just saw then clean the laundry rooms twice in one hour to help us fight COVID-19. Big thanks to everyone!!
Very professional, stayed open for me to move in. Was really nervous they would be closed and push back my move in date but that wasn't the case and I am very grateful.
I am new to the area and love it so far. Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. My apartment is great, I was afraid of the noise based off other reviews but really never hear anything. Nice people live next door and the staff and maintenance are really welcoming.
The building is newly upgraded and very well maintained, the staff is friendly and very helpful to the residents needs, very glad we decided to make this our home.
Lived at a community and was referred to Uptown and I love it, everyone has been so kind and helpful with my move. Have some friends who moved in the area and I love Fullerton. Happy to call Uptown Home until I finish grad school.
Rented a 1 bedroom apartment for a little over a year. Moving back to New York but wanted to say I loved it here and will miss Nola, Jayda, Kim and Uli! They made living away from home so fun and I met some really cool people here. If I ever move back to Cali I will definitely be living here!!
Lived here for 2 years and just renewed for another. Finishing up the medical program at CSUF and this complex has been a blessing! Highly recommend taking a tour and seeing for yourself. Not everyone has had a great experience like me but I can only speak for me :)
I don't understand some of these negative reviews and I'm upset because I almost let them keep me from renting such an amazing place. It seems like most people think they own a home when they are really renting an apartment, but that’s on them. I LOVE UPTOWN! It is right near my Cal State Fullerton where I go to school, near downtown Fullerton where I can Uber there and back for cheap, near the mall!! LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!! Just see for yourself! I had to write a review because the negative ones are misleading, THIS PLACE IS GREAT! My cousin is moving in this summer and I will refer. The office staff is very helpful, and maintenance is quick. Gorgeous complex!
Its crazy how different people will have different experiences but Uptown is a really nice place to live if you have reasonable expectations. The property is newly renovated and all the apartments are upgraded with no carpet, quartz counter-tops, energy efficient appliances, central A/C and heating, dual pain windows, and competitively priced. I have friends and family who live at the property and AMC has over 50 different properties they could live at but they chose here. I urge you to see for yourself and do go off any one else experience because everyone will have a different point of view. Common problems are; parking, but you get assigned parking, water shut offs, but you get notice in advance and its usually only a few hours for community upgrades that benefit everyone, and I think i saw something about pest which is VERY UNLIKELY that tend to be a personal problem with how people live versus a community problem, but if something does happen there is pest control free for most situation that comes weekly. Hope the review helps!
Will list the pros and cons to give an accurate depiction of the experience; Pros – Nice apartments, no carpet and central A/C Comparative Rents to the other apartments in the area, we rented a 2 bedroom and it came with washer dryer Clean community and amenities Nice resident events, moved in Superbowl weekend and they had the game on, pizza, and refreshments Leased with Jayda and she was a pleasure to work with, let me know all the ends and outs and made sure I understood everything prior to signing the lease and that all my questions were answered. Also recommended great restaurants in the area since we moved from out of state and needed some help. Cons- The apartments do not come with fridges; however, we used the company the community referred us to and it was delivered on move in day and ended up being cheaper than buying one Some of the parking spaces are really tight, the original one we were assigned was too small for me to park my truck in, but I let Jayda know and immediately she assigned me a new one that it fit better in Visitor parking is limited during the night Some residents don’t pick up after their pets which is weird because they have two dog parks that the pets could go to Overall I love the place and will be a long term resident until I finish at Cal State Fullerton, which is conveniently close!!
I’m not sure why my previous review didn’t post but I’m proud to call this place home. The dayporters maintain cleanliness of the buildings and property, it’s excellent. These guys are hard working and I’m sure often over looked. Kudos to my favorite day porter with the glasses.
I have been living here going on 1 year, This is by far the best place to live. From the office staff to the maintenance team. I always have answers to my questions and never wait more then a day for a maintenance request to be done. Jaime And Jimmy Helped me fix a leak in my apartment That I thought was Very Bad. They both fixed it in less then a half hour, Cleaned up the area and made it seem like it never happened. They both where so kind and made me feel taken care of. If your looking for a quite and safe place to live where the staff makes you feel welcome and not just a number this place is it. Thank you Uptown Fullerton And Jaime and jimmy for all you do.
I have lived here for 4 years. Originally, I was here when Camden owned the complex and stayed when AMC took over. I liked Camden but AMC completely changed up the place for the better!! Everything is renovated and new, I moved into one of their renovated units last year and have loved it!! The ladies in the office are amazing, Jayda the new Community Director is always so friendly and welcoming. I have never lived somewhere where I could walk right into the managers office and have a conversation. I usually had to go through everyone else and get angry before a manager would talk to me, but she is right there door always open!! The office throws really thoughtful resident events and always has cookies and candies for anyone to grab. I have heard people complain about water shut offs which is funny because it isn’t all day it is for a few hours and you get advanced notice. They are shutting it off to make renovations and make the community better and then the community complains!! Assigned parking comes with the units and they have extra available for rent and open and visitor spaces, so I am not sure why people complain about that either. Either way it goes I love it here and don’t plan on moving anytime soon.
I have never lived in a community where repairs don’t exist and reading other reviews I am not the only one You are told (just like the other review) “it will be done before you move in”, it’s been three months and still waiting. I have verbally informed staff as well as sent emails to staff and spoke/emailed the main office AND a “superintendent” came in and saw the unfinished area and told me it would be completed by the end of that week...that was three weeks ago! If your potential new home at Uptown Fullerton looks to good to be true, you are absolutely RIGHT!!! I would also like to add, due to my constant attempt trying to get my apartment completed, I am treated very poorly when I either call or enter the office with the upmost worst customer service I have ever encountered!
They literally turned out water off everyday from 8 am to 5 pm right when we moved in. Could not take showers or have running water. Not to mention all the noise from the remodeling of the other units around us. We were told that the upgrades were finished. Everyday and night loud noises can't even sleep and they know I have a four month old daughter. I can't believe this.
I was so very glad to leave here when my lease was up. This is a miserable place to live. Truth be known, if I could give negative stars to Uptown Fullerton, I would! There’s a reason all their units are EMPTY. The noise level is completely out of control. There are often parties until 3 am. If you contact security they don’t do anything about it. I have had to contact the police in order to stop parties. Management won’t do anything about it when contacted. The crime rate here is crazy. I’ve had packages stolen off my porch, cars have been burglarized, there’s vandalism, apartments are broken into, I’ve seen homeless people sleeping in the laundry facilities, people steal your clothes from the dryers, every morning when I leave there are people digging through the garbage bins, etc. Management doesn’t seem to mind. It’s all about the money with them. I understand that there’s crime everywhere, but it’s rampant here because everything is easily accessible. While they’ve done a good job of trying to clean up, it’s still pretty trashy around here. Maintenance tries to get things done, but they’re too busy upgrading apartments instead of caring about current residents. They take forever to fix things when you put in a request (my dishwasher hasn’t worked the entire time I lived here). People throw out their garbage in the common areas or let it sit on their doorstep. This invites all kinds of bugs and rodents. I’ve come home at night and seen cockroaches crawling all over the ground and on the walls of the buildings. People don’t clean up after their dogs so there’s dog poop everywhere, the trash areas are often overflowing with garbage (I’ve seen rats and maggots on multiple occasions). I even found a dead frog in the washing machines & dead rats by the garbage areas! The water pressure, when it works, is very low. They seem to be turning off the water all the time due to construction. Forget about having guests over—there’s NO parking. I have been blocked in to and out of my spot several times due to construction workers parking behind my spot. And due to construction, the management has blocked off my parking space several times WITHOUT notice. I’ve come home from work only to find that my spot has been taped off because they decided to do work on the roof or someone is parked in my spot.

Kimberly, We're sorry to hear that your experience here at Uptown Fullerton wasn't what you expected it to be. Even though you've moved into a new community, we've already made many changes here. We're also sorry for any inconvenience the construction caused. They're finishing up in a timely manner so that we can provide our residents with a much better property for them to call home. While we were sad to see you go after having you as our neighbor for 5 years, we wish you nothing but the best in your new home! Take care!
"Park in another spot," security says. Yup. They have a no-tow rule in effect. So just, ya know, park in another spot. Even though it's late on a Saturday night and there are no spots open. So then security says, "Just park in a fire lane." Just park in a fire lane? "Yeah, just park in a fire lane." That's the current system they have set up. You pay for your parking spot. Someone comes along and takes your parking spot. And then the security guard that they pay to have on site tells you that the solution is to break the law, because they're not actually allowed to do anything to anyone that takes your spot. Brilliant. Real brain-collective running this place. The customer service here just continues to fail and fail and fail and fail.
Terrrrrrible. Lived here for 7 months and hated it. The office staff Kristen is SO RUDE. Parked in visitor to run up and get something out of my apartment and they came and banged on our door to move my car, when it had only been down there for 10 minutes!! Also, they charged 40$ a month extra for our extra spot, then out of nowhere it was moved up to 40$!!! Quite the price increase. Walls are paper thin. Upstairs apartments are terribly hot. Dog poops everywhere, if you walk on night your shoes will be bringing dog poops to your house. Very careful.
This is a terrible place to live. That's all there is to it. When we first checked them out they were so nice and gracious. We were shown a fairly decent unit with a dishwasher. Cool. After the lease had been signed and move in day came, we discovered our apartment actually doesn't have a dishwasher!!!! When we discussed this with the guy that has the dreads, he was so unbelievably rude. The response was to cancel our lease and pay the penalty. They took no ownership of their mess up. Honestly the second we could get out of there, we did. It's not just the parking, noise, paper thin walls, pest problems but the final nail in the coffin is the managements' inability to treat their tenants like human beings.

Hello, We truly do apologize We are sincerely sorry if you feel we did not meet your customer service standards. This is unacceptable and will be addressed immediately. If there was any confusion with your apartment, we want you to know it was not intentional. Please come into the office so that we can discuss these issues in greater detail and get these issues resolved. We really want our valued residents to know that they are our first priority and thank you for taking the time to write us.
DONT LIVE HERE. The only pro is that it's close to campus. There are termites and the the A/C is outdated. (Along with the kitchen.) The management is only nice to you while touring and signing the lease. Afterwards, they are extremely rude. Especially Kristen and Norris. Additionally, people's apartments always get broken into. Two of my friends apartments were broken into, and my roommates car was broken into. AVOID THIS PLACE. PAY EVEN LESS 200 ELSE WHERE AND ACTUALLY BE HAPPY!!!!

Hello, we are truly sorry to hear about your review. We honestly care about our residents and would love to speak to you further to address your specific concerns. Please call or stop by at your earliest convenience.
I Have lived here for about 8 months and it has been awful. They didn't tell us when we signed the lease that they would be doing construction on the car ports leaving us with out guest parking for months at a time. It's very inconvenient. The work they have done has not improved the car ports at all. The storage above them are a total disaster and I would never store any of my personal items in them. The gate access is ridiculous your remote only open one gate & getting in out of the gates is always a cluster. As for the walking gates those are just for looks the ones on Maddison don't even open even with a key! Kristen in the rental office is unprofessional and rude. If I were you I would stay far away from these apartments!! Only few more months and we are out.

We are sad to see your rating and want to help create the best environment for you at Uptown Fullerton. Please call us so we can address your specific needs. We look forward to hearing from you!
if i could give this place 'no stars' i would. we had just moved in here. i was pleased that this place provides back racks monitered by cameras., Well at least the signs were posted. Not a week after our move in date had passed and 2 of our bikes were stolen. Reports were filed, FPD were contacted, But in the end management said; "there is nothing that we can do. We recommend that you do not park your bike in the BIKE STALLS." The cameras did not catch anything suspicious activity. Just above the bike rack there is a sign.. "monitored at all times" I had asked them to remove that sign if it is not true. They said no. Just the way the manager handled the situation was horrible. poor management and poor manager Kristen maintenance is lazy. floors are un-even. hall ways are dull-creepy and smell.. avoid at all cost.

Hello, we are disappointed to hear about your experience. We apologize for the miscommunication and would love to address the issue with you further. Please stop by the leasing office to meet with the manager so we can turn your experience around. Thank you.
The managers are power hungry. They love to torture and find reasons to complain to the residents. The fact that we can't even pull up to a spot near the front entrance by the visitor parking just to run in to our apartments or pick someone up is ridiculous. There should at least be a 10min parking area for residents in the front. Many times, the managers have spoke to me rudely. As soon as you sign the lease, they stop being "nice."

We appreciate your review and are truly disappointed to hear about your experience. We value this feedback as we want all of our residents to love their home and community. We take these reviews very seriously and will be looking into your concerns, thank you.
Pros: We tried and couldnt find anything Cons: Filthy. Roach infestations in many rooms. Walking down the hallway smelled of sweat and curry. No patio, just a ledge with bushes, which is not a crime deterrent. BIGGEST CON: Tons of break-ins, both apartments but mainly cars. My friend had her car broken into. Upon informing management, there was no effort to pursue the issue. Management specifically stated that the security guard only comes around every couple of hours, and the security cameras are inoperable (so, they're for show). She wanted to have them review the tapes but was told there was no tape to review. Stay away from this place because having your car and your apartment broken into aren't enough to get you out of this place or away from this management and especially the manager Kristen.

Hello, we are truly sorry to read your review. We can assure you we appreciate all of our residents and strive to provide the best possible service to you all. We will be looking into your concerns, thank you.
Pros: I dont have anything Cons: The place is filthy. Bugs and insects were in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The carpet was really dirty. There was not even a patio, actually there was but it was only literally 3 feet long and 8 feet wide. The patio was covered with bushes, which was not the bizz. The AC didn't even reach the rooms, I'd have to stay in the living room to keep cool. This place is full of college kids, so basically another party place. Never really quiet, roudy, and if your first floor, you can hear people stepping on the 2nd floor. Rude manager Kristen, Please get away from this property. Prices are too expensive!!!

Hello, we are truly sorry to read your review. We honestly care about our residents and can assure you our prices are competitive with the market in our area. We wish you the best of luck.
This place is horrible. Unfortunately I've lived here 26 months and regretted it everyday. We have a HUGE bug problem. Bugs don't describe it. Actually MAGGOTS!!! How effing disgusting. I have 3 kids and they won't do anything. This place Is like ran down motel. Honestly don't live here. You will hate it. I swear. RUN. Dogs poops everywhere and its smelly in the lawn. The Manager Kristen is worst on this service industry and its an insult that management placed her into this job.

Hello, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We value each of our residents and strive to provide a community where you can Live Happy. The comments you made are not typical for our community and we would like to further discuss them with you.
I unfortunately have my apartment for 12 months. There is a HUGE bug problem! I've had my apartment sprayed twice and both times it did not do anything. The AC unit does NOT cool off the apartment as well! It never reaches the bedrooms. The trash cans are ALWAYS full and smell horrible. When it rains the sidewalks flood. My bike got stolen with 2 locks on it! my roommates and I underwear got stolen from the laundry room in the dryer. In both of these circumstances, the main office did nothing to help. Not enough parking as well. DO NOT live here, it sucks! The mailman is constantly messing up the mail. No more lock on gate.

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. They've towed our car illegally twice, have zero customer service (once from our own spot), and threatened to sick the police on us when we complained. They moved us to an incomplete apartment while they renovated ours. The new apartment had windows that didn't close, discoloration on the ceiling that they called "water damage," all for a nominal fee. This place is terrible. Don't rent here.

My wife and I moved out from this apartment complex at the end of January 2017 for several reasons: - Over the last few months, we saw 3 dead RATS within 100 feet of our apartment (2 in the parking lot, 1 on the sidewalk). - If we renewed our lease, then our rent would have been jacked up more than 25% from the previous rate. - The water would be shut off for the whole day "for maintenance purposes" very frequently. In the 16 months we lived there, the water must have been shut off on 20 separate occasions. - There is not enough parking spaces. If you get home after 6:00pm, then good luck finding a spot. - Uptown Fullerton charges additional fees to pay rent online. The previous company that owned the complex, Camden Parkside, did not charge these fees. To make matters worse - when we received the final check (from the initial deposit), there were charges from water and trash bills that we paid at the end of 2016. We went to the Leasing Office to get this issue resolved, but we are still waiting. The manager Kristen is worst person ever in service industry, Its insult on service Industry to have these kind of people.

Yes, exactly what you think, its really bad apartment and everybody leaving from this place and managers are really rude and they wont respond properly. Two weeks before we had hot water issue and I called them in the noon they said it will be fixed by 2 hours and I was waiting for long time and I called them around evening 6:30 PM, The manager said that they are still working, But the hot water came only on next day noon, What kind of managers work with service men to fix nearly 24 hours to fix small hot water issue, Where you go inside the apartment you can see all dried dog poops, I complained three times about this, Manager asking us to take and throw it, I showed some of the pictures, its nasty and if you have less than 3 year kid then its problem, they may go and grab these poops. Please think twice before you move in.

I dont write bad reviews generally, But I felt it to share if someone can avoid this situations. This apartment is good for location and with previous management, For past 2 years my experience has been from 9 to 1 and its going further down. These are the issues I faced, 1. Stolen clothes from Laundry - You can see lots of people roaming around in trash can on early morning on late nights. 2. Car windows broken with my friends car and you have to be very brave to stay here. The services are really bad and they receptions people thought they are above all humble things, They dont respond properly and make you wait there nearly 40 mins one time. So Think twice before you step in. Good Luck.

Everything here is great the apartment comes with all kitchen appliances including refrigerator, oven, range, microwave, and dishwasher. We have central air which is great! Spacious living area and rooms not to mention the amazing walk in closet, other tenants are nice and the location is gorgeous! Parking isn't the best but we always manage to find a spot. I love living here! It's close to everything the mall, markets, restaurants, and more! Perfect for our first apartment

The one bedroom apartment is so spacious. We have two walk in closets, plus two more hall closets. We have so much storage space it's amazing. The community is quiet and family friendly. It's close to Downtown and across the street from a gorgeous park. Also just up the street from the college. Great place for college students.

Probably the WORST management company out there. Management team does not really care about the concerns or finances. They will try and charge you for ANY and EVERYTHING.
Management is great. They are pretty reliable about concerns.
