Property Ratings at Utica Steam Cotton Building
I was one of the first to rent a unit in the cotton mill building. I have been here two years and I love my unit the open airiness of the loft, the big windows in the units and its centrally located downtown. Laura has been a big help in the building and also arranging meet and greet your neighbors.
I recently moved into Utica Steam Cotton Building, and I am absolutely thrilled with my new home. The entire experience, from the initial tour to my day-to-day living, has been truly exceptional. Conveniently located in central Utica, this building is perfectly positioned near a range of shops, dining options, and Wynn Hospital. The community is friendly and welcoming, making it feel like home from day one. A standout feature of residing here is the strong emphasis on safety and security. The building's advanced security system and dedicated staff create a reassuring environment, allowing residents to feel completely safe in their apartments. My apartment is modern, spacious, and beautifully designed. It also offers abundant storage space and includes a convenient washer and dryer. The fitness center is well-equipped with a variety of machines and free weights, making it easy to stay active.
Great location with a friendly staff. Great with accommodations and group activities!
I have had the immense pleasure of residing in the historic Utica Steam Cotton Building for over a year, and my experience has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I moved in, I knew I had found a place that felt like home. The architectural charm of this beautifully restored building is truly captivating. The blend of classic industrial elements with modern amenities creates a unique and inviting atmosphere. High ceilings, large windows, and exposed brick walls give each unit a distinctive character and a sense of spaciousness that is hard to find elsewhere. The management team deserves special recognition for their exceptional service and dedication to residents. They have always been prompt, courteous, and genuinely caring, ensuring that any issues or concerns are swiftly addressed. The community they foster among residents is warm and welcoming, making it easy to form lasting friendships with neighbors. Amenities at the Utica Steam Cotton Building are top-notch. The fitness center is well-equipped and meticulously maintained, providing a convenient and enjoyable place to stay active. The communal spaces, including the lounge and outdoor area are perfect for social gatherings or simply relaxing with a good book while enjoying panoramic views of the city. The location is another major highlight. Nestled in the heart of Utica, the building is within walking distance of vibrant shops, delightful restaurants, and cultural landmarks. The convenience of having everything you need just a short stroll away adds immeasurable value to daily living. One of the most remarkable aspects of living here has been the sense of safety and security. The building's secure entry system and vigilant staff provide peace of mind, allowing residents to feel comfortable and at ease in their homes. In summary, my stay at the Utica Steam Cotton Building has been an unforgettable experience. The combination of historic charm, modern conveniences, outstanding management, and a prime location makes it a perfect place to call home. I highly recommend this exceptional residence to anyone seeking a unique and fulfilling living experience. Five stars, without a doubt!
You will be out AC, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers for months before they fix it and they will site that your "appliances" are luxuries not required so be mindful. They also have units that are Air b&b and have random people in the building. There is dog poop and pee throughout the building as well. It is a health hazard to live here because of the mold in the broken AC units.
I’ve been a tenant at the Utica Steam Cotton building for over two years now. It is not just an apartment, it’s now home. The owners kept the historic charm and coupled that with modern finishes. The exposed piping, the original floors, the brick walls, and the tall ceilings paired with the modern lighting, elevators, useful amenities, and stainless appliances give us tenants the feel of a downtown Manhattan apartment right here in Upstate New York. The location is perfect as it’s amidst the new and upcoming development in downtown Utica. So much is in walking distance. Lastly, I am a young female and always feel safe; safety was at the top of my list when apartment hunting. The building is full of friendly professionals who truly look out for one another and genuinely connect. Utica Steam really is the #1 spot for apartment living in Utica. (Ive even had friend who are homeowners visit and left saying they want to move in here.)
There are so many "Steam Cotton Only" benefits. Just a few of the things you will find here that you won't at the other buildings: - Beautiful, original, refinished wood flooring. The entire building smells like wood. It's such a nice scent when you are walking down the halls. Smell aside, the floors are beautiful. Every guest I've ever had over loved the floors. - Brooklyn Pickle right below! Their food is pretty good, nothing to rave about, but thats the beauty of it. Food is always good, not amazing, good. So the line is never too long, prices aren't absurd either. It's a nice amenity to have when you don't feel like making dinner or lunch for tomorrow. - Varrick Street. The best of both worlds in my opinion. It's close, don't get me wrong. You can walk to all of the bars, restaurants, etc, whenever you want! However, you're far enough where the noise and crowds don't linger to the building. It's the perfect compromise of being close, but not in the mix. However, the apartment itself is the best part. It's quiet, sometimes too quiet. I didn't hear anyone. Could be because I was on the top floor, but very quiet in general. Apartment is built well. The appliances worked, water, internet, electric.. really everything. I truly had no real complaints living here. My only complaint was the small washer and dryer. They were a little annoying, but the rest of the living experience was amazing. Live here!
