Property Ratings at Valley Green Apartment Homes
Good place to live. There for years. Maintenance is helpful and staff can be friendly.
My girlfriend and I absolutely loved living at Valley Green. Our commute to work was always quick being so closely located to Highway 41, and the apartment is in a wonderful epicenter of Green Bay with grocery, gas, and restaurants nearby. My favorite part had to be the wonderful open kitchen we had and large bedroom, it was very, very homey and an extremely comfortable living environment. The front office was always a call away and always responded to any problems we had. When our heater stopped working last winter the repair man showed up in less than 24 hours and we had it up in running in 5 minutes, and there is always suitable parking. We cannot wait to come back and apply for a new apartment here. :) - Renters of 1686 Apt 16
At the time that I moved in during 2022, the rent was very cheap but now I understand why. Management moved me into a complex that they knew was infested with roaches and for over 8 months my apartment had been infested due to a nest in a different persons apartment. I also had a mouse stuck to our tape trap that was placed for the roaches. I would NOT risk moving in here as I constantly see pest control at the surrounding apartment buildings. It also looks like they've increased the rent over $200 on many of the units which doesn't make sense since the units are VERY outdated quite frankly gross.
I’ve been living here for seven years. When I have a maintenance request it’s usually taken care of within 24-48 hours, with zero problems. There’s a nice courtyard to relax in during the summer. Barb and DeeDee in the office are phenomenal! The apartments are nice and spacious. This is a pretty good place to live, all in all.
Decided to live there despite the negative comments about management because I’m an easy person to get along with and an easy tenant. Big mistake. Not only did they lose my 6 month rent check (that was placed in the secure locked mailbox in the office) THEY DEPOSITED IT TO SOMEONES ELSES’ ACCOUNT. Never apologized and tried to charge me a late fee(it was still on time), but ok moving on. I needed proof of who was living with me for my child’s health insurance, and one maintenance request. I called and left a voicemail everyday for 5 days; on day 6 someone answered, Ellen. Not only was she rude, inconsiderate, but she told me “I can’t deal with this now, I have people in the office” and hung up on me! My biggest mistake was thinking something as small as management couldn’t play that big of an impact on my living situation. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it was a spacious apartment. But seriously, as easy of a tenant as I may be, MANAGEMENT DOES MATTER. And that I will give 0 stars to.
First of all the whole complex is absolutely disgusting. The hallways when you walk in look like they've never been cleaned and they stink. The apartments themselves look like they're falling apart and are super gross and they have cockroaches in most buildings. All you can hear all day are kids screaming and people blasting music in their apartments and in the parking lot. There are people sleeping in the halls, lots of drug use, and lots of police calls and fights. The doors to the apartments are so thin and the locks are super old and cheap and it is very easy to have someone break in. The neighborhood is terrible and would not recommend going outside or walking by yourself (almost got mugged). I lived there for 3 years because i couldn't afford anything else but now that I'm out I couldn't be happier and I can finally feel safe....
We currently rent a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, first floor apartment. The apartment itself is nice. The rooms are fairly big, as are the closets. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and plenty of cupboard space. The apartment comes with an A/C which is pretty nice in the summer months. Maintenance is very reliable here. Any problems we've ever had are addressed in a timely matter. The landlord is friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is safe enough for me to walk around with my kids, and there's a park within a short walking distance from the complex. It's easily one of the best deals you'll find here.
