Resting an hour and a half north of Philadelphia, Bethlehem is located in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, steeped in rich industrial and colonial history. It’s endured a revitalization over the years, but its surge in popularity hasn’t hampered its old-city charm. While Bethlehem may be under 20 square miles, there is a ton to discover.
Experience the city’s beginnings in the historic downtown district, which houses several museums and landmarks. Spend a day learning about mills, wash house, and other structures in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, or the town’s role in the steel industry at the National Museum of Industrial History. After your history lesson, visit some of the specialty shops, galleries, and local eateries in the downtown area.
If you’re an art lover, you’ll fit right in because this quaint town is home to a vibrant visual and performing arts scene, with several spaces dedicated to artistic expression.

Property Ratings at Valley Park
I rented here while I looked for a house (failed). The good things: flexible leasing, laundry in the unit (though those units are awkwardly installed and small). The staff are pretty helpful, and it has a useful gym hardly anyone uses you can join for only $10/month. The bad: I lived in two units. The first had a big bathroom ceiling leak they couldn't easily fix within two days of me moving in. I demanded relocation and they pulled it off quickly, to their credit. The first unit had an intolerable noise level from the tenants upstairs - super creaky floors. The second unit also had very creaky floors from upstairs, and tenants walking around at all hours. They did get less noisy after I talked to them, but there was only so much they could do. The kitchen of a two bedroom has very little counter top space, and the closets are small. The thermostats didn't work properly - I had them at 55 to keep it around 64, and even then my electric bills were huge - $170/month in winter, 5 times my usual apartment bill. In addition to mice coming in February when it was cold, there were multiple other annoying things: few electrical outlets, leaky seals on the in wall a/c units. They did a good job with the parking lots in the snow, and you can usually get a spot close to the door. I wasn't bothered by the airport, and it is not that noisy outside, but the soundproofing is not effective in addition to the floors creaking (I could hear my neighbor playing video games when I worked from home). Most of the repairs were done quickly. SUM UP: OK if you are a sound sleeper when you can't find anything else. Convenient location and flexible lease options.
I had lived in Ann Arbor and Chicago before - lived in quite a few apartments as a student/grad student. So far, this one is the best ever in my life. Leasing office people are more than helpful, the house itself is clean and spacious, my neighbors are nice and friendly, everything you need is nearby - restaurants, malls, convenience stores, even DMV to get PA driver's license -, and there's a brand new IN-UNIT LAUNDRY which boosted the quality of my life to the moon. So far, I've lived here for a month and got 0 complaints. Love it!
I moved to Valley Park in October 2017, all I can say that it has been a wonderful experience. Though I moved into the older apartment it's great for the price. Rebecca is great. She's very helpful and respectful. Maintenance response is superb. Snow is cleared in a timely fashion, whenever I call for anything it gets fixed in time. Nice neighbors, safe area. If you move here, you won't regret it.
Great pet friendly location. The apartments are nice on the inside not sure if good for families but perfect for couples. Biggest downfall is the noisy airplanes at night I have a very hard time sleeping. And this place has a SERIOUS issue during the summer time with centipedes. They are EVERYWHERE (during the summer). Never slept with the lights off because I would see at least 10 during a normal week and that's with never even having left a window cracked which meant the ac would be on 24/7 during the summer. Not kidding the centipedes are a huge issue. Killing them means stains on the walls all the time, just not fun.
Lots of open space, pool, very clean, quiet, staff is great and repairs are timely, Accessible spots at request. 1-2 bedroom, laundry on site.
Valley Park apartments is in a great location in Bethlehem. It's minutes away from route 22 and major shopping centers( target, bj's, Lehigh valley mall). Some of the apartments are right on catesaqua road and others are tucked away in a residential area ( very peaceful). It seems like a great place for dog owners i see many of the residents walking their dogs. Apartments are nice but within week one of moving in I did see centipedes on two separate occasions. Nice size space with high ceilings. There is no assigned parking so first come first serve.
I love our apartment at Valley Park. Rent is reasonable and the environment is very peaceful. Management works with you and are very friendly. They like to keep in touch with you during your lease to make sure that you are enjoying your stay. Apartments are clean and spacious and the walls are extremely thick. I can't hear our neighbors moving around or arguing at all. It's only downfall are the Thousand-leggers that seem to appear on the walls out of nowhere...Aside from that, I highly recommend Valley Park apartments.
