Property Ratings at Van Aken Crossing
The place I reviewed was updated and nice . They are doing repairs and getting up to code and on top of updates as stated. It was quiet . The apartment itself was very clean. They received new management and they seem very professional and informative.
I have lived here since 2019 and KPL took over from KRI last year. I really thought that they would be much better than the last company but they are not. Do not move here. There is no hot water, I have complained about the same thing for months and all they do is close out work orders and never address the issue. The maintenance man showed up and told me there’s nothing they can do about me not having any hot water. They control the heat, which is always broke and never on. I called multiple times to inquire about why the heat isn’t on only to be told it’s broken and we were not notified. The power also goes out often. The hallways are never clean. There is nothing but dirt and trash in the stairwell. I haven’t seen a cleaning crew in months. The security door has been broken for months, anyone can enter into the building causing a safety hazard. Just the other day, there were guys smoking in the hallway stairwell who doesn’t even live here and left trash everywhere. The interior of the garage is falling apart and water leak through the ceiling will day. People don’t take their trash to the dumpster, instead they leave it in the garage. Renewing my lease was by far the worst mistake I could’ve made this year.
My apartment is really big and pretty nice. The area is great and close to downtown Cleveland. I like having the garage parking and the RTA train both. I work from home a lot and find the building is quiet and the internet is good.
The Shaker Square is just minutes away with access to the Rapid Transit System, grocery store, pharmacy, more boutiques and restaurants, and a cinema. My street is quiet and nicely landscaped. My apartment is really large and has lots of big closets. The building is dim but they started putting in new lights. All my neighbors seem nice. It is a great area to live. I just renewed my lease for another two years.
This place is terrible a real joke to the Housing Community! The management is totally unprofessional and unreliable at the times when you need them the most.
