I've lived in Dallas all my life and I've never seen an apartment with as many ROACHES and insects. I wish I never signed the 1 year lease. I've also live in 4 different luxury apartments in Dallas and this is by far the worst one with the most things broken (meaning the plumbing not working the electricity not working, the floor boards being broken, etc.). Don't even waste your time applying here, I know the fake reviews can be tempting, but I know for a fact that they're fake because I caught one of the staff members filling one out themselves and they 100% didn't live on the property.

I highly recommend living here! Not only is it in the growing and fun area of bishop arts it is a very safe and secure place. It takes two key access areas to enter your apartment and it has a nice hotel-look walk area through the living halls. The amenities are very nice, new, and clean. Collin the manager is very helpful and very attentive when it comes to any questions I have had which has just added more of a great environment at Vance at Bishop Union! The coffee house located under the apartment has the most delicious breakfast burritos and coffee which is another perk of living here!

Don’t even THINK about applying for an apartment here if you are self-employed unless you make 10x the rent per month. If I made 10x the rent per month, why in the world would I want an apartment here?! I applied for an apartment and asked for every bit of information that I need to submit because nobody sems to trust self-employed people, like myself. They explained that it was no problem if you don’t actually make 10x the monthly rent in income per month, as long as you can provide documentation (statements) from other accounts (investments, savings, retirement, etc.) that could be liquidated to cover the difference. I was told I would be more than covered for this difference. I waited TWO WEEKS after submitting my application to hear back because they have had issues with their screening process and had to temporarily lift my credit freeze for each of three credit reporting agencies TWICE, for a week each time, but to no avail. I keep a freeze on my credit to keep my credit secure after having my identity stolen last year, and having to lift it for two weeks, especially for no reason, is extremely frustrating. Caterine was kind enough to update me every day, every step of the way, with the status of the application. She mentioned that the property was under new ownership, and things were still in a transitioning phase. She also informed me that for nearly two weeks my application status has been listed as “pending” but did not know why, so contacted the screening agency and management. Management then requested to override the screening software and to resubmit my documents for a manual application approval. Throughout the process I remained patient and stated that I would rather hold out for this apartment than to cancel the application and look for something else. Nearly two weeks later, counting on this place, I just received the call denying my application. Reasoning was because “they don't accept” any of these forms of collateral that told me they accepted. My investment, crypto, trading, and retirement accounts would not be accepted, which Caterine was not informed of. I’ve wasted two weeks of my life expecting to move in, but I can only blame the awful management for this miscommunication. I could have easily found an alternative place to live within this timeframe but was still not accommodated at all. This is inexcusable and extremely unprofessional. Thanks for nothing. Five stars for Caterine, zero for management.

Novel hit it out of the park for us and made our decision an enjoyable one. Moving across country novel provided absolutely perfect service and was personal-able and friendly. Big thank you to Mary!

Ive lived at Novel for almost 2 years and absolutely love it! I chose this community over others because the leasing/management staff was awesome (shout out Carolyn!) and really made me feel like I was home. The apartments are beautiful and I never have maintenance issues. Convenience is a big factor for me so the amenities/services offered make living here so easy and enjoyable!

Novel Bishop Arts amenities are fantastic, the location to Bishop Arts Street is the best part of living here...We love the liveliness of the area and the interiors of the apartments..the sky terrace overlooking Downtown Dallas is wonderful. The residents are great here and it's very quiet...

The gate for the resident garage is always broken and there are times common areas are not left as clean as they should be (i.e., carpets in hallways, odors on certain floors, skydeck, parking garage could use a power wash). Overall it is a decent community. I do feel ownership needs to look at better ways to retain residents such as myself. There are many up and coming properties that offer more at a lessor or comparable cost. For the prices here things should be maintained allot better.

I love living here! Mary and everyone else who works here are SO nice! They definitely provide top quality service. I would recommend Novel to friends without a doubt.

Living at Novel Bishop Arts has been a great experience. The building and amenities are wonderful, and the staff is even better. I love living at a place where my needs and interest are top of mind.

We really wanted to live in North Oak Cliff / Bishop Arts District, and we are very happy we picked Novel. The quality of the units and the amenities are much better than any competitor in the area. They have thought about what you actually need to live comfortably and happily with great layouts and finishes.

The staff has been warm and supportive throughout the surprisingly difficult pandemic spring/summer we've been experiencing. I appreciate their efforts to continue to build community within the complex.

This property is the true definition of community. I absolutely adore the staff. I cannot imagine living anywhere else especially during these trying times.

Novel Bishop Arts is such a wonderful property. Between all of the amenities, to the amazing staff and residents, I am so excited to call it home! Mary & Glenn go out of there way to make things a smooth transition, Brewed Coffee is an added perk, and it is EXTREMELY dog friendly and community driven.

The complex is first rate at everything from managing Corona virus amenities to maintenance team who are efficient and quick.

I have greatly enjoyed my overall living experience at Novel Bishop Arts! It has truly been one of the best apartment complexes I have lived in.

The Bishop Arts area feels like an exciting, growing, multi cultural community and neighborhood, and the Novel apartments are no exception to that. The focus on maintaining the neighborhood spirit and showcasing local art, culture, and businesses is a highlight. The clean and modern finishings and amenities don't hurt either.

You cant match Novel Bishop, it has great staff, great location, responsiveness and sense of community.

The community is outstanding and the staff is great. The apartment finishes are superb. The amenities also elevate the living experience. You also have Bishop Arts in your backyard which is an automatic plus.

I immediately fell in love with Novel Bishop Arts during my initial tour of the complex! Everything from the beautiful rooms (especially the kitchen) to the Bishop Arts neighborhood is amazing. The leasing staff is incredibly polite and friendly. I highly recommend Novel Bishop Arts!

I am moving from an apartment complex in an area that is not walkable and that I did not feel safe in. Now that I am in Novel, not only do I feel safe, but I get to enjoy walking around the neighborhood, visiting local restaurants, and taking full advantage of the amenities offered.

The amount of floor plans and pricing options at Novel means that there's something here for everyone.

My experience here would be perfect if my water didnt smell like rotten eggs and Ive lived here for a week and its still a problem.

This place is the absolute best. The location is great, the apartments are gorgeous, and it truly feels like home.

Truly the best I've had the chance to live. The staff is professional, responsive, caring: honest. The building is impeccable and the amenities are excellent. You can see they are trying to build community among neighbors and staff (there is also an online community to connect with staff and people). It's located in the heart of Bishop arts, you can walk everywhere, we even have a really cool Coffee shop (with excellent croissants and creations). All my friends that come visit keep telling me how lucky I am to live here, and I am. This place is awesome.

Good place, could be cheaper considering space. An option of utilities included could make better as well. But its a good, clean and new spot.
