Property Ratings at La Cordoba Apartments
I lived here 6 years ago and the apartments were amazing. They did have an issue with the flooding and the pool constantly being closed then but it was well kept and I never had an issue since living here I have only had minor fixes done to the apartment such as leaks or theACbreaking but there's so many roaches and rats that it's quite unsettling. There is mold in my AC vent and on top of that I can not use majority of my cabinets as they are dry rotted and need to be replaced I have told the office about the issue and the manager said she should fix little by little however they have fixed nothing. It's sad to see how this property has fallen. I know the managers are taking on a lot with this place and doing the best they can but at this point they aren't accomplishing much nor do they have the finances to fix the problems. At this point I'm looking at finding legal help because no one should have to live like this.
I usually don't take the time out to post reviews but enough is enough. I have been living in these apartments for two plus years now and things have started to go downhill since new management has taken over. Earlier this week my apartment was randomly shot up while I was inside my apartment. To make matters worse I took HCPD 5 hours to respond to shooting and I had to let them inside the gate because they had no emergency access inside the apartments. After contacting the office about the shooting, the staff showed no empathy towards me and only cared about fixing the windows. After being informed by maintenance that my window would be repaired the same day it has still yet to be repaired and I still have a bullet holes in my window and on the wall. The apartment staff doesn't care about the safety of residents here. The gates are always open for anyone to come through them and there is no security. If you are thinking of moving here please don't.
I am happy to say that I am a resident at La Cordoba apartments. When I submit a maintenance request they acknowledge the need immediately. Mr. Teo who came to tend to my request was so kind, friendly, and very professional. Thank you, Mr. Teo and office staff, for your impeccable customer service. Sincerely,
The apartments are very quiet, neighbors are very friendly and the office staff is very professional and very helpful.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Always here to help!
I’ve lived here for almost 2 years. Breaking my lease because they never fixed my apartment from it flooded, always changes management, bad roach problems, drive-by shootings, pool is never open nor cleaned properly the water is always shut off for repairs, and the pictures are very deceiving. The “gym” is 2 treadmills in a room the size of a hall closet. The community emails are always threats of lease violations with nothing nice to say.

Thanks so much. We are honored you have chosen to call La Cordoba home for so many years. We look forward to the next 15 !
I have lived in this apartment for a year now. It used to take a while for maintenance to come fix a broken thing. However, with the new management, that's not the case anymore. It's an affordable place that gives you value for your money.
I've been living in this complex for just over four months and I've never been more conned in my life. When I went to see the property, it was beautiful. A well kept complex with two fabulous pools, a beautiful town home as a show unit. But now that I've lived here, I know the truth. The grounds are constantly a mess. Tenants let their dogs crap where ever (including the sidewalks). Tenants litter and will don't clean up after themselves (someone dropped an entire cup of noodles in the middle of the walkway and left it there), the pools are constantly green and not available for use. It's a mess. Most of the apartments have damage, and they didn't come from Harvey. The first apartment I moved into started leaking When I get to the new unit, it looks like they hadn't fully cleaned the unit. I decided to do it myself before I moved in because I knew they weren't going to do it, and I just wanted to get out of that leaking apartment. There was damage to the board under my sink that I asked to be fixed, two months later, it hasn't been fixed. This place is the worst ever. DON'T MOVE HERE!
Over 3 management changes in 4 years. Multiple issues that still get ignored through management. I do not recommend unless you need a quick place to stay and don't mind wasting your money. We will not be renewing this time due to giving them almost a year to fix issues. They're pretty much letting anyone in now. Neighbors do not know about respecting others. Trash all over and you can't walk outside without smelling dog poop or weed. The buildings are old and it's always a gamble as to if you will have hot water in the am or if your toilet will flush when u flush it. I will never recommend this place unless they tear down buildings n build new ones.
I wouldn't recommend these apartments. There have been several management changes and along with this I've had many issues in my apartment that still to this day have yet to be resolved. I've had rats living in my apartment and the front office will tell me that there is nothing that they can do. I have a loud rattling noise outside of my window that I've been told can't be fixed. Monthly rent statements don't come and I have to wait for the office to open in order to find out how much I owe and on top of that the office never even opens up on time. I've had guest cars towed from parking spots that aren't clearly labeled. There are just a lot of things that need to be fixed in order for these apartments to be worth renting. You get what you pay for.

I am sorry to hear about your negative experiences. We take pride in being known for our exceptional attention to detail, and we regret that we have missed the mark with the outstanding maintenance issues you have. We have been transitioning to a new management company, which can cause a few hiccups, I apologize that you had to experience these issues. My name is Tracy Parker, and I am the new Community Manager. If you would like to discuss your issues further, please contact me at 281.558.2341 as we welcome and encourage all feedback.
Worst experience ever. Only thing is that it has the WORST STAFF EVER !! We put in an application for a whole THREE weeks to find out they played us. They did not even submit the application until we called them and ask about it. At the end they keeped our money, and played our time. They ignored our phone calls and did NOT commit to their word.
back in the 90's this was THE place to live now in the 2015's not so much. Its clean, mostly cosmetic. Staff members are nice and answers all my questions. Neighbors mind their business. The way they are constructed you dont really hear them. only down is there is no play area for kids.
Coming in to this community I didn't know what to expect but once actually being here I noticed how quiet and polite the people were. The staff are all extremely helpful and treated me with kindness, they're very pet friendly, and they have all different floor plans for almost any living arrangement. I feel safe at night because of how secluded they are. So far I've been here a month and really had minimum problems with my entire appartment and anything I come to them about they work with you to resolve the problem.
