Property Ratings at Venetian Apartments
The noise at this property was ridiculous. There were always dogs barking & people slamming their door. Majority of the time the gates did not work & non-residents would use the pool.
This complex was great when we first moved in last March. It’s INCREDIBLE how quickly things can change. It’s NOTHING as advertised. First off, the office staff is less than interested in lending a helping hand. They think that the resolution to any issue is sending an email and count on you, as a resident, to do their detective work for you, taking photos of people smoking or not picking up dog poop. Secondly, the gate has worked MAYBE a total of four consecutive days since we have lived here. If you like sharing your pool and grills with ALL of the residents of the city of Fort Myers, this place is for you. Even Lincoln Properties has been made aware of the problem and do nothing. Lastly, and most importantly, I don’t feel safe here anymore. New neighbors are unfriendly, disrespectful, and sketchy. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere that protects their residents.

Anytime an office member is made aware of a compliant we make sure to address it. We were made aware that non residents were coming to our pool and therefore hired security patrol for the weekends to ensure we are only having residents use our amenities. During the week a member of our management team will do random checks at the amenities. The gates have been operating and all issues with the gates are addressed immediately. Ok, so first off all the things supposed to be offered actually are not offered, examples are the gates ( haven’t worked since hurricane ), the mail room has never even been open or used, the pool table in the game room has cue sticks with no tips and no chalk, the tvs in exercise room you can not watch because there are no remotes, one of the three treadmills hasn’t worked in two years. Then there’s the fact that the walls are paper thin and all the doors are designed to slam shut and the new management team has the approach to be completely obnoxious and unhelpful, so you won’t bother them. For the money and abundance of other options in apartments choose anywhere else.

I am very pleased to be a resident at Venetian. Staff is very friendly and courteous. All my appliances are in working order at all times. Grounds are kept clean.
We love it here. This will now be our 3rd contract with the Venetian coming up and we are still just as happy as we were 2 years ago when we moved in.
The grounds are kept beautiful, however I was so disappointed with the water pressure in the bath tub, which unfortunately management seems unable to resolve. I also think the walls and flooring are very thin, you can hear individuals through the walls speaking or whatever they may be doing. I love being able to find parking close by anytime. I also do love that it's quiet during the night, at least my building is. I am neutral now, fact being my accommodation here has not been that long to see fully how things are done here. I have not had a chance to experience the amenities either as yet, but so far it seems like it may be a nice little neighborhood to live for now. I forgot to mention that the rent is a bit high here as well, but it seems like so is everywhere else. Let's see how this turns out.
The amenities are wonderful. The parking is terrible and people are constantly smoking in the non smoking community.
I would recommend this apartment community for so many reasons. This place truly feels like home. The management is exceptional. The design of the apartments are simple, yet functional. I forget I have neighbors because the design of the units were so thoughtful that the bedrooms are all spaced out/max distance away from each other. I have no complaints other than ants in my apartment - which is a problem anywhere you live.
They are always courteous and prompt. Based off of the maintenance, I would like to add that there needs to be some kind of system/ order put in place around the dumpster from Friday to Sunday night and it SHOULD NOT fall on the maintainance team. The tenants leave their trash piled outside the dumpster and its not safe from a sanitary perspective, there could be bacteria and attracts animals that could have disease. It's also unsightly from the road. Thank you.
I would recommend Venetian. I would note the usual cautions: (a) the walls are thin, meaning noise pollution can be an issue; (b) lots of residents have dogs, which may cramp/dirty common areas if neighbors are irresponsible; (c) the office pays to spray pesticides outside the building, but bugs are tricky; it takes multiple methods, repellants, or bait traps to keep the unit clean 24/7.
People upstairs are loud with music and banging around all times of the day and night since I moved in 2 years ago. Would recommend because the inside is nice.
Great staff & Amenities; clean, safe, well lit, everything in working order and as advertised. Spacious Apartments, plenty of electrical outlets, sufficient closet space; love the washer/ dryer in the apartment; sufficient parking. Love 24/7 gym access. Negatives- trash area can be better arranged for self service including recycling.
It should be kept up better on the outside. Also interior is nice but cheaply made.
The apartments are beautiful. Nice amenities and I love that it is quiet here.
It's usually safe, and clean, has great amenities that are often well kept. However, a bit more could be done to accommodate guests
The only reason I would be hesitant to recommend this apartment community is because of the parking issue and because of how noisy it is (the walls and flooring are super thin).
The staff here are kind, helpful and respectful.
I do suggest Venetian to friends & family who are in the market for apartments due to the location & amenities.
I would recommend - I just applied and would love to call it home soon! Staff was so friendly and made it stand out compared to other communities I looked at that were similar otherwise.
The noise from above units is loud enough that I have to forewarn guests before their stay in my place if they're in town visiting.
It' a nice place to live.
Cleaness of apartment and grounds and friendly staff
It clean and nice. It's very close to everything. If you work a night job and want a closer parking spot you are able to reserve a spot right in front of your building but if not then you might have to walk a building down.
The ceiling has low quality construction, we can hear even the slightest noise from the people above our unit.
I like the community, but the location is terrible in regards to traffic. You need a dedicated u turn lane to avoid collisions.
Both maintenance personnel were great. I was on work calls while they attended to the issue and I really appreciate their sensitivity to my need to work while they were here.
The apartment itself is good,the kitchen is excellent, but would not recommend, due to parking at night.
This is my first ever written review for anything but I feel people should know what they are moving in to. The apartments are very clean and the pool/gym are nice but I will not renew my lease because there are no parking spaces available at night. I was towed from the parking lot months ago for parking on the curb because there were no spaces available and I had to pay 300$ for my car back without reimbursement from the apartment complex due to the design fault and there being no spots for residents who pay to live here. I also had to miss class that day which is inexcusable in a doctorate program. Parking got better when they implemented a guest parking service. Now parking is stressful again for whatever reason. I’m walking long distances from my car to my apartment carrying lots of bags everyday. You can pay 60$ a month for a reserved spot which is ridiculous on top of rent. I feel as though I should not be parking so far from my front door as this is my “home”. The parking situation does not fit with my schedule. Guest spaces are also so far from my apartment that people do not want to visit. Parking is just a nightmare! Staff was nice listening to my complaints but voiced there is nothing that could be done

The office staff work hard and the grounds are kept clean. Last year's decision to better organize parking with the stickers/decals was a smart idea. (Then again, everybody complains about parking regardless. . .)

I love the central location, but the traffic is horrible. I feel like I am risking my life every time I leave. The community, though, is great. I enjoy the planned events.
I loved the aesthetic Venetian has and the amenities provided. The leasing team often hosted fun events and it was in a great location. 10/10 and am very sad i had to leave.

My new roommate has a deaf dog and we were both relieved to have the maintenance person call my cell when he was outside the door so my roommate could take care of her dog and make sure he doesn't try to run out sneakily or scare off maintenance. The dog made friends with him instantly and he treated the dog so well and was so sweet. Amazing service. This is the best complex in all of this area. Beautiful apartments with the best property management team!
The walls are very thin and the noise concern of hearing my neighbors bothered me.

I would recommend any body to this community because I felt at home and Bernice was very helpful.While we were there we ask a lot of questions and she was able to explain everything to us my sister and one of my cousin are looking into moving there
Loved living here till people moved upstairs.. .. so upsetting because the lady has her kids running around stomping on the floors from sun up till sun down...also I have no realized it’s not just her children it’s the adults as well banging on the floor.. I can also hear their television Which vibrates my apartment ..I recently had a family member visit and she couldn’t believe that we had to live like this ... I have a 10 month old that is not sleeping well and is disturbed by this non stop.. I can’t get my son to sleep and when I do he is woken up by all the stomping and banging ..very frustrated ... I have called a few times about the issue but nothing is helping . I am also a full time student and it’s unbearable to study and sleep inside my own home. I would have rated this complex a 5 if it wasn’t for the constant noise issues . However, maintenance and front office staff are great and friendly to deal with . Only complaint is noise ..

Community is nice but maintenance isn’t very helpful when it comes to serious issues. Been having a roach issue, my apartment is extremely clean, there’s roaches in the living room, bedroom and found one of the bed. Their making me wait a week for pest control to come out. When it comes to serious issues the correct thing to do is to take care of it right away. Will not be renewing my lease.
