The peaceful waterfront community of Venice and Englewood sits on Florida’s west coast overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Originally established to provide lemon groves, the town retains a natural Old Florida feel with few buildings reaching higher than three or four stories. Fort Myers and Sarasota lie within commuting distance, and Sarasota Bradenton International Airport lies just 30 miles away.
Dotted with charming 50s-style beach homes and vibrant apartment rentals, the area is quintessentially Florida. Back on the mainland, you'll find plenty of golf courses and several parks where residents and visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, cycling, and kayaking. With its stunning, unspoiled beaches and a pleasant year-round climate, you’ll feel as though you’re on a permanent vacation when you live in an Englewood/Venice apartment.

Property Ratings at Venice Park
TJ was amazing! He was very helpful, answered all my questions and more. With the short amount of time I had to find a place, he was very fast to respond and I was able to get through the process by next day :)
Do not live here! They kept my security deposit. The denied that I had one. When have you ever been able to move into an apartment with no deposit? After a lengthy discussion with the property manager, she admitted I had a $1,000 deposit that would be sent to the address I provided at the time. I was fined $180 in move-out fees, even thought the unit was immaculate. Any fee was supposed to be deducted from the deposit. They kept the deposit and turned me in to collections for the $180. The property manager is sketchy and will lie to your face. Corporate has admitted I did have a $1,000 deposit, and have been "working it out" for two weeks now. "Renovated" units are not great. Very dark. The police are constantly being called out as well. I now have the burden of having to sue Venice Park.
You will find a Mandatory Trash pickup charge in your contract - however it won’t get picked up for days even weeks at a time - which leads to bugs, smells and more. Maintenance is spotty. One day amazing - next it won’t get done for days. Spa hasn’t worked since day one of moving in. You’ll pay way above what it’s worth because you won’t get what you pay for.
TJ was great at getting stuff done. Really nice staff. They may not be perfect but they sure try and are really nice people.
On-Site staff and Asset Living their property management company just doesn't seem to care and appears to have no intention of returning my security deposit.
I rented for 2 lease terms starting when it was Advenir @ Monterrey and then when it changed to Venice Park Apartments. It was a decent place to live, not the best but not the worst either and I felt safe enough there. I had a washing machine that didn't work for at least 6 months before they replaced it. I also know 2 neighbors that were dealing with black mold issues for far too long. My main issue is that I still have not received my security deposit back after receiving their final move out statement reflecting I was owed over $1,000 and it has now been over 4 months. The front office was never very helpful and they are not in getting my deposit returned either.
Really a great place to live. Nice scenic community. Newly renovated units are modern and clean, with a good layout. Hector with the Maintenance team was very nice, and came to fix my disposal late on a Friday. The Job turned into a longer project than expected but he stayed and finished the repair instead of pushing it off until Monday. Very impressed. Thank you Hector!!!
Palmetto bugs are a nuisance and the office staff will make you feel like you’re the only person having that problem. They won’t fix anything because of the coronavirus so you have to fix it yourself if you want functioning toilets and showers. We were told it’s not necessary to fix it because we have 2! We pay for 2! Both should work! The staff is rude, just no customer service skills at all. With the exception of Natalie. She’s the only one that is helpful at all.
I love it here. I hope I never have to leave. People who work the front office are helpful and kind.
Run as fast as you can! Words cannot explain my frustration with what has happened within the 5 to 6 months I’ve been living at this location! Sue the front office/head of Advenir is by far the most unprofessional Worker I have ever encountered! She has no customer service skills whatsoever. I knew when I moved into this location there was a couple of things wrong with the place but, I never thought it would be full of??MOLD?????? It has been over two months that I thought this issue would have been resolved in the front office as well as maintenance just keeps giving me the runaround. I have a pregnant wife that’s living with me and she is inhaling all of this mold that is coming through the vents Her breathing is not healthy and she’s been getting a cough ever since they started “supposedly” cleaning the vents. So after the two months that I’ve been waiting for them to replace the unit they finally have replaced JUST the unit! For the Ac! All of the vent ducts are completely full of moisture and mold. Admiear (The head of maintenance) informed me that there was no mold! I had informed him there was moisture falling through the drywall! So speaking on the subject we all know ?? any kind of maintenance worker/handyman will know if moisture husband sitting or has wet any kind of drywall Durock .... etc that wall needs to be replaced!!!!or ceiling. I asked him if he had any kind of certification for irrigation or any kind of mold inspection he wasn’t even aware of what the job consisted of so I asked myself “ what makes this maintenance worker a professional in mold” and why is Abanilla taking his advice when they should have someone who is certified licensed and has the correct credentials to perform a job like that ! And all he said was “I gave a visual inspection” when I specifically pointed out to him where the mold was! Words cannot some up my frustration because I thought I would be moving into a home that I would be able to start a life with my newborn and 1st child and all I can worry about is my wife inhaling & breathing all this durbree that is coming out of this vicinity.
Terrible place to live. Nobody can mind their own business and people up front are very rude.
Do you like paying more for less square footage, less quality and even less customer service? Then this is the place for you! After being bought by Advenir about 8 months ago the only part of this apartment complex that is still decent is the maintenance staff. Advenir decided to plant a few palm trees and now thinks that their apartments are worth 100 dollars more per month despite nothing about the actual apartments being changed or updated. When you add in that the front office staff treats you as if you are a nuisance whenever you walk in the door, I cannot think of a worse place to live. Do yourself a favor, save your money and your patience and don't bother coming here.
I have moved into the Monterrey Apartments the same week that Advenir took over. I immediately thought of it as an intriguing coincidence, but found out that at the beginning, it wasn't the best omen possible. While things had gone well so far, I had to address a few issues with my Air Conditioning in from March 2015-June 2015. I went without Air Conditioning from May 24th, 2015-June 11th, 2015. I found out that the maintenance department had ordered the wrong parts at least three times during those three weeks. Over the course of the last two and a half months, I had two more issues with my A/C Unit, but both had been resolved within the day that I had reported the issues. The Front Office staff, as well as the Maintenance staff have vastly improved from when I initially moved in, up to now. In terms of pricing per Apartment unit, Advenir has made a lot of improvements from March 2015 to now. Most notably, repaving the parking lot to rid the residents of the headaches of potholes. In terms of Apartment size, you could be getting more space for equal or lesser money. Rent has gone up from 870 to 893, now to 913 for a 544 square foot apartment. If you're one person looking for something in a good neighborhood, Advenir would be an okay fit for you. What concerns me is the high ratio of Staff Turnover: ever since March 2015, it's been a revolving door of Maintenance/Front Office employees. What does that mean for a potential renter? If you're having an issue and it's being resolved by a dedicated team, if they are terminated/resign, it could be a while before they fix your issue fully. Same scenario for your Front Office employees, though they're usually quicker to address issues. Location is in a great part of town, little to no crime happens here. You're minutes away from restaurants, Winn-Dixie, YouFit and a gas station. You're 10 minutes from I-75 as well, so you're in an integral part of Venice. In closing, Advenir at Monterrey is a mixed blessing. The rent continually increases, for smaller units and doesn't seem fully worth it. The Front Office/Maintenance staff are doing better at fulfilling their duties, but the price per square footage is a strong deterrent to anyone looking to move in. If you can't find anything else, you can treat Monterrey as a last resort in your search, try elsewhere first.
This place is wonderful, big walk in closets, and spacious rooms, all remodeled. We have 2 pools, and it's with in walking distance to grocery store, post office, restaurants, and a U FIT gym, and even a Veternerian office. Yes they allow pets!!! I have lived here 13 years. And hope many more to come. And maintance staff is right there when you need them. Wonderful place highly recommend it!!
Rented a 1 bedroom apartment sight unseen when I moved from the northeast and haven't any complaints about the complex! Staff is great, both office and maintenance! Quiet, good neighbors, nice pools! Sweet Bay supermarket and YouFit gym is just a couple hundred yards away and a nice walk if you're only getting a few things! Would like to see Falls of Venice Circle repaved but I'm sure that isn't in the short term plans. On a scale of 1 to 10 a solid 9!
