Property Ratings at Venue At Winter Park
We've lived here for 22 years. Had some issues with the previous management, love the new management--VENUE Apartments have all been refurbished. Grounds much better. Gym remodeled with much more equipment. Bigger room. Most importantly, the management really cares. The community offers three sparkling pools. Neighbors are great.

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great evening!
Do not lease here. The property manager is condescending, rude and ill equipped to manage this property. Nothing gets properly fixed; all repairs are done half-assed. I'm pretty sure I've been exposed to asbestos when my ceiling finally caved in due to leaks that hadn't been repaired for over 1 year. I won't begin to discuss the trash that sits out for days. I'm counting down the days until I can move out.
I lived there for a year. And it’s beautiful. A little expensive. And the area is pretty nice

Thank you for this five-star review of Venue at Winter Park! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed a pleasant experience at our community.
It’s not worth your hard earn money they’re money hungry rude and very unprofessional the rent is high they offer pest control but that still doesn’t work things break literally every other day just save your money and go somewhere else I wish I would’ve did my research before I moved here but you live and you learn thank god. I was able to find somewhere way better I literally just moved out this month.
Absolutely worst experience I have EVER had in an apartment . Save yourself all troubles and just do not move here. Management is the worst, the buildings are being updated however the actual building itself is so old and pipes bust everywhere . We have had 2 floodings in our apartment living there in only 1 year, and several of our neighbors have had the exact same thing happen to them. Forget about being compensated for any of your troubles either. Management is disorganized, maintenance is pretty good at getting to the apartment however their time management sucks.

Jason, we're deeply discouraged by this characterization of our community as it is not indicative of the comfortable home life nor level of service we strive to provide. Please know, we do not falsify reviews as that would be unethical and we rely on honest feedback to further improve the resident experience for all who call us home. We do hope residents are being respectful and courteous of one another by disposing of their trash properly, being cognizant of their noise levels, and abiding by all community policies. If you feel as if a resident may be in violation of one or more community policies, please alert the office so that we may address this issue directly with the individual. We want all residents to have peace of mind within their homes, but crime - unfortunately - has no address and can occur anywhere. We are always willing to work with local law enforcement and encourage any resident with concerns to please reach out to the office for a chat. Thank you for your feedback. We look forward to speaking with you and improving your experience throughout the remainder of your time here. Thank you.
Ive had rats in my apartment quite sometime, advised office still have the problem after over a month of notifying. Addressed situation i had with my outlets which were not working and drains that were not draining , maintenance stated they fixed but didnt had to go to office to get it resolved. Window in master bedroom leaks when it rains , hopefully i dont get charged for the damage it caused to paint seeing that its there problem when apt should of been move in ready. 3 months now , my ac doesnt work in the apartment 3 days over 81 degrees sent message to office , no response online, i called the next day which is today and thety go check it out but leave not advising what is going on ..... Maintenance came left the door open thunking they were coming back and they didnt. Bathroom tile loose and advised when i moved in and now they are on the verge of falling and still hasnt been fixed.... 3 months in and i have these many issues.... We are so sorry to hear about the issues you've had regarding your home. As this is the first we are hearing of that type of pest problem. We strongly urge you to contact management immediately so that we can investigate and move forward with treatment. We do fulfill maintenance requests in order we receive them, so it does speed up the process if you submit them with our office team or on our resident portal online. We hope to see you in our office so we can discuss ways to improve your stay and resolve your concerns.
My family and I have lived here for almost a year now. Although maintnace men will complete work it is not in good timing. There is dog poop everywhere that no one seems to care about. Parking spots are hard to find. You basically have to park at another building. If you have little ones be cautious ppl fly up and down the streets. And to top it all off' I have been complaining about rats....not roaches....rats. I've never lived with bugs or rodents. Not one grain of urgency to do anything. They put down sticky strip and said call if anything gets stuck on it. This is not a place I would move into or advise to move into. They switched management over night and putting patches on things to raise the rent. Definitly will not be renewing my lease. Save your money and find some where else
I noticed several complaints from a year or more ago. Rest easy, it has gotten a lot worse since then with new ownership and new management. We moved here from another state and reserved the apartment via phone after sending a money order for the deposit and checking it on the internet. We selected Winter Park Commons because the pictures and internet videos made this place look great. What we saw in person showed a quite different product that what we saw when we arrived here. Apartments are old and outmoded. We moved into an "updated" apartment which appeared to be better, but was a utter dissappointment. Pipes and structure are old. Pipes busted and our apartment got flooded out. We lived on the bottom floor. Same thing happened to our neighbors upstairs and we were showered in our apartment. Plaster fell. We lost many valuables. Over $1,000 of damage to our personal items. There are no sidewalks anywhere. When you walk on the streets outside, you are at your own risk. People drive through here like it is the Daytona 500. I took the time to record the license plate number and followed one of these hot rods to their apartment at Winter Park Commons. Management said they could nothing. Parking is also a nightmare. There are a lot of Full Sale students who live here. They invite their friends over to party and show no concern for paying residents. They also party into the wee hours of t he morning ---- very disturbing to those of us who work. Our shower was painted over the tile. This peeled and looked horrible. Nothing works. Refridgerator always made a loud noise. Does not keep food cold. We have had much spoilage. We reported this numerous times and nothing has been done. The inside washer and dryer are small stackable, do not work that well. The landrymats are a bigger joke. They are filthy, machines were always broken, we lost a lot of money in the machines. Grounds are also not very well kept. Residents put their trash outside their doors which stinks and draws animals and insects. The compactor/trash area is another jem. Always broken down. People throw trash all around the compactor. Looks like a dump (and is) no wonder we have such an issue with bugs, insects, fleas and rodents running around. Management here Bell Partners is a joke. The manager Traci is the most insensitive and unprofessional person I have ever met. Not recommended. Not a good place to live.

We would love to discuss your specific situation further in person so that we may work toward making this the best apartment community it can be for you. One of the best things about this complex, is the maintenance team! They are extremely helpful with assisting me with various things at my apartment home! They are professorial, knowledgeable and very personable. Thank you team for a great job and your assistance!

I've lived here for several years now, and I'm glad to be leaving soon. Before the new management company bought it, the staff actually seemed to care about residents. Not so much anymore. We were promised upgrades to facilities and services, yet the grounds look mostly the same and I've had to fight to get maintenance issues resolved. The front office has been totally remodeled, yet many facilities on the ground are in dire need of a paint job. There are an inadequate number of clothes care facilities on the grounds, and some are occasionally closed for days for "repairs." The rent rises a good bit each year, yet that increase hasn't translated into improved service.

I lived here for almost a year... water came in our windows and they sent someone out w tape to cover it. There was black mold everywhere. They refused to replace broken appliances... like washer/dryer and stove etc. the conditions were unlivable and they refused to let us out of our lease. First month living here there was a shooting. Avoid at all costs.

The location is actually really decent and they are zoned for some really great schools which is why is literally pains me to write the rest of this review. The management is abominable and the maintenance staff are no better. No one ever picks up the phone at the front office after you become a resident. Maintenance requests can be made online but there is *zero* follow-up on requests which can be left outstanding for months, regardless of how many times you call maintenance to your place. I don't know if they are incompetent or just lazy. When we initially moved in, they said they would be moving us into one of the "upgraded" apartments. All the "upgrades" are cosmetic. I think the stove is the only appliance that hasn't given me trouble (knock on wood). Residents are not required to pick up after their dogs which has resulted in a horrible flea infestation in the grass. If you have options elsewhere, I would suggest you stay away from this place.
Me and 2 other people applied for a unit at this complex and were rejected due to insufficient income. This occurred twice more each time we added someone else to the lease, forcing us to pay yet another application fee each time, and last we heard we were still rejected. I got into a life-threatening accident and we could no longer move in to the unit; it was at this point that management suddenly decided we were accepted and had now waived all of our fees and security deposit. So on top of the bills I was straddled with from the accident, management decided they wanted to squeeze a little bit of money out of me and my roommates. This could be a 5 star resort (although from what I understand in the reviews its cockroach-ridden and dirty) and I still would not recommend this complex due to its asinine management. Avoid at all costs.
I give this property some stars since it is in a good location for access to school, food, shopping, highway, etc. The landscaping is nice but the insides of these apartments are outdated and kitchen is pretty much a tiny walkthrough. This is by far the worst management company I have ever worked with. The staff is always too busy, it is hard to get a live person on the phone, and their follow up on issues is practically non-existent. No one ever knows what is going on and they always give you wishy washy answers that deflect the problem and resolve nothing. If you are not proactive, they will let you incur fees when you think they are actually working the issue. When I first moved in, they couldn't even get a lease together until 10 days into the month. They work slow for residents but expect residents to be timely with no exceptions. This place not only charges rent but there are other fees you should be aware of to make a budget friendly decision. You need to have renter insurance ($75), there is a pest ($2)and trash fee ($10), and you must pay for your own water and sewage (variable). If you do decide to move here, read the lease agreement and other documents very carefully. There are a lot of fees you can incur if you do not follow their instructions to the finest detail. Also, they have one dumpster in that huge complex and it can be far depending on where you live.
The complex is alright, its pretty quiet and it is close to Full Sail University where I'm currently attending school. The only downside is that there isn't much security. Anyone could be walking around the complex, but I've had no problems nor have I heard anyone of lately having any so all in all I'm satisfied with my stay.
I live in a 1-1 apartment here. The apartment is small but has enough room for one or two people to live comfortably. The kitchen doesn't have much space for anything really. The comunity is pretty nice and is upkept well. The office has a few people who do good work but I have had some very incompetent people work with me who did not seem to know what was going on or care at all to help me or care if I was happy or not. Other than that it is a good place to live
Although the property is older, it is maintained really well and is kept very clean. Landscaping always looks nice. I've lived here for over a year and aside from the occasional noise from the neighbors I have no complaints. No issues with pests. The office staff is great and very helpful.
I live in a centrally located area. You're about 15 minutes from all the action on the corner of 436 and Aloma. I live in a three bedroom with a ton of space and walking distance from a nerd bar called A comic Shop.
The requests for maintenance are not responded immediately and when the job is done,it is not done completely and in the best way. Also, even though the outside of buildings and lawns look neat, the stairwells are not maintained clean. In addition, we have seen small cockroaches that appeared after a job done for the apartment next door that required to make a hole under my sink connecting both apartments and it was never closed.
