As its name implies, the Museum District is home to 19 museums. This historic neighborhood is home to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Children's Museum of Houston, the Contemporary Art Museum, and other cultural centers. Each year over 8 million visitors explore this cultural hub! Residents also have access to one of Houston’s favorite parks, Hermann Park, massive green space housing the Houston Zoo, an Amphitheatre, gardens, and more. Great for students, faculty, and staff, the district is also convenient to several universities including Texas Southern University and Rice University. After you’re done exploring museums, the Museum District also has several coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, and nightlife spots. For even more shopping, dining, and entertainment options, Midtown and Downtown Houston aren’t far from the neighborhood. This bustling cultural mecca has surprisingly affordable apartments along with more upscale rentals available as well.

Property Ratings at Venue Museum District
Maintenance is a recurring issue. Repairs often take weeks to months. Communication is not good. Requests put into the maintenance system are closed without the problem being solved, sometimes with no action taken at all.

Hello, thank you so much for your feedback. We are delighted that you enjoy living here and hope you continue to call us home for many years to come. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything else!
I've been a resident since 2022. A huge shout-out to the receptionists in the concierge because they go out of their way to provide the best service to the residents especially cause the concierge is open 24/7. The other residents are super nice and chill. The facilities and amenities are maintained properly. Submitting a maintenance request is as easy as 1-2-3 via their website portal and requests are usually completed within 24-48 hours. Safety is their number one priority and luckily they're located in a safe environment. In addition, key fobs are required to obtain access and there are cameras inside and outside around the buildings so kudos for enhanced security. This apartment offers easy access to midtown and downtown so there's more shopping, dining, and entertainment options available nearby. I definitely recommend living here and you will not regret it.

I have lived at this property since Nov 2020 (over 1.5 years) and during our course we have seen management change approximately every 6 months. In addition to the constant turn over of staff, we have had 2 thefts due to a malfunctioning garage gate that is consistently broken. Our bike that was locked inside the garage was stolen and the catalytic converter from my vehicle was stolen while parked inside the garage. They will not increase the amount of security cameras inside the garage despite the constantly malfunctioning gate and do not have security to patrol the premises. Additionally, the gate has been open for 60+ days now with no end insight. I actually liked living at this property as its conveniently located to the med center and the apartment is very quite, but the fact that I have had over $7,000 of property stole while living here is very unsettling.

Management / staff at this location is excellent. Facilities are clean and the building / amenities are well-maintained. On the rare occasion that a maintenance request is needed, the request process is seamless and turnaround times are quick. The property is also in a safe and prime location. ~5-10 min walking distance from the fine arts museum, Hermann Park, McGovern Centennial Gardens and the natural science museum, among others. The no-nonsense policies enforced by staff and the variety of floor plans available make this property ideal for families, professionals, retirees, individuals who work from home and anyone else who may be searching for luxury living in a safe location at reasonable rates.

Please let us know if there is anything else that we can assist you with. We are so grateful to have you as a resident at Venue Museum District!
The existing management team is doing a great job of trying to improve the living experience for residents. However staffing shortages in maintenance team makes their job almost impossible particularly with an aging property.
The neighborhood is very nice, easy access to downtown, museums, medical center. The building is quiet and the neighbors are nice, quiet and respectful.
Great location and amenities, spacious and stylish apartments and wonderful staff.

Thank you for this incredible review! We are all in this together and take pride in providing the best place to live in Houston. We cannot thank you enough for choosing to make Venue Museum District your home. - The Venue Museum District Team
The attitude of management is not so good. For instance, the decision to lock up the rooms where we are supposed to put heavy trash is a real irritant. We were promised a resolution to this problem for months, but nothing has changed. Boxes pile up at the doors and block the ramp down to the cars. This is a safety hazard and it is a problem for handicapped access. There are many kinds of trash besides cardboard boxes which needs a place to go.
Property Manager at Venue Museum District, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to write this review; these reviews help management understand where we need to turn our focus to. I am sorry to hear that you do not agree with our recent decision to keep the doors of the loading dock shut. The decision was made with the residents in mind. We thought it to be more pleasing to the eye for our residents and their guests to have the doors shut rather than open with unpleasing views of trash and debris visible. Large items other than cardboard boxes were being dumped in these areas which became extremely difficult and time consuming for our maintenance team to manage the removal of large furniture, mattresses, trash etc. that was being left daily. As previously mentioned we are not completely closed to other feasible solutions to the loading dock areas so we have been working with upper management and contractors to come up with other solutions. Please continue to share your thoughts and concerns as this is helpful to me and my staff. We love to hear how we can continue to improve. Regards, Torrie Holmes Community Manager Venue Museum District
I love living in this mid-rise community. All the people who work here from the management, to the concierge, to the housekeeping and maintenance staff is helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful and make us feel so welcome. This is easily the most well-run luxury apartment community in Houston. First class all the way!!!

This complex offers a luxury location and amenities at an amazing value that has only improved since we moved in. We looked all over the city and couldnt find a comparable complex that offers the same benefits at anywhere near the same value! Our favorite amenity is the 24/7 concierge - youll never feel alone or helpless as they are always available to help.

Thanks for the positive review. One of our company values is to Deliver great service, and we are so happy to learn your experience has been positive! Torrie Holmes Community Manager
The Venue Museum District is a great place to live. My favorite things about the complex are the 24 hour concierge service and the location (close to Hermann Park).
We love the Venue! Great people, excellent amenities, spacious floor plans. They really truly care about their residents and will do anything day or night to assist them
Its convenient to all the museums and the medical center and the metro rail.
Excellent value - price for quality! Have loved living here!
Great location, really good apartment, especially the floor plan. It's too bad that the new medical tower has blocked our view of downtown. Electricity use is quite high because of the big windows, and the fact that they are only double glazed.
The same as I submitted before: great staff, great location, well maintained building, reasonably priced.
We have stayed here just about 4 years altogether now. We first lived here for 2 years then moved away for a year, but we had to come back to this property. Because there hasn't been a property that we have lived in that is as community oriented as this one before. Our stay at Venue Museum District has been very pleasant and rewarding with a friendly staff to make our "home" comfortable.
Other than the homeless problem and the lack of security, the physical location is great. I have to say carrying pepper spray has been a new accessory for my wardrobe walking my dog outside of the building or to the metro that I never thought I would have.
The Venue is a unique facility that offers luxury apartments in one of Houston's most desirable areas, the museum district. Overall, the facility is well maintained and the support team is responsive to needs, however, additional work is need to provide an environment that is consistently safe and secure.
This is a great location for those working in the medcenter with the rail line so easily accessible.
Building is well maintained, staff is very professional and courteous, location is great, ample parking
We love living in this community. Everyone who works here from the management, to the concierges, to the maintenance staff is kind, helpful, and helps us to feel welcome. This is without a doubt the best run apartment community we have ever lived in.
We LOVE living here! The people are awesome! The staff exceptional! Safe, beautiful, a place we are grateful to call home
I have been very satisfied and happy to have lived here for eight years.
This is an older building that is well maintained. I like the size and brightness of the apartments. I moved here from a newer high rise that was not well maintained and had terrible maintenance service. Venue is head and shoulders the better place to live. The complex is very quiet and the neighbors all seem very considerate of ones privacy. Another great feature of Venue is its nearness to the light rail lines stations at the Museum. They are a short walk and connect you directly to downtown or the med center without a car.
Great staff. great location, great floorplan, lots of room and closet space, nicely appointed, overall great value.
Great staff, great building construction, great room layout and storage, great location.
