Management is terrible. My apartment smelled like a pet when I moved in and still does after they cleaned the carpet. My refrigerator makes loud noises all day, my garden tub drain (that I have never used) smells like backed-up sewage. You can hear when neighbors flush the toilet or running water through the wall which is coming from the pipes, and it's extremely loud. The lakes look awful. I stay on the 3rd floor and at night the breezeway is infested with all kinds of bugs. I was stung by a wasp on my foot while walking down the stairs because there was a wasp nest hidden on the side of the stairs. I informed the leasing office and they told me they would have maintenance take care of it. However, that never happened. I informed them about the infestation of bugs and they said they will have maintenance pressure wash the breezeway. Again, never happened. The gates ALWAYS have issues, and if they malfunction and damage your vehicle they will tell you that's not on them and to contact your insurance company. If you have an issue and leave a message they will NEVER call you back. I'm not against pets, but I don't want to walk pass dog crap all the way from my car to the stairs. I thought this was going to be a nice place to stay, but I was wrong. I will not renew my lease and pay $200 more for this. I was hoping this would be my home until I purchase my house next year, but I'm going to move after 10 months of being here. I'm not one that usually leave reviews but this was a must.

I’ve lived here for over 3 years and my rent has increased by $300 since then. I’ve renewed my lease 3 times without having my carpet cleaned and the office staff will fine you for any and everything. It’s not worth the money. The maintenance crew is the best part about living here.

I have lived here for 7 years and love it. The maintenance guys respond quickly whenever I have an issue in my home. The office staff is nice and helpful. I have great neighbors and have no complaints about living here. I will continue to call this place my home.

Lived here for 3 years and 5 months and it was great. Always quiet and clean, well maintained with speedy response to maintenance requests. Staff always courteous and ready to assist (Morgan was always polite and customer friendly). Amenities great in spacious floor plan. I would highly recommend living here. I always felt safe and secure. Parking wasn't an issue as there is even an option of getting a parking garage. Moving out process was just as easy as moving in. No complaints from me.
My husband and I move a lot due to his job. This is the worst apartment we have ever moved into! We were told that it would be cleaned, painted and the carpets cleaned before we moved in. I walked into the apartment and all I smell is stale smoke and we don't smoke. The apartment was not painted as the previous tenants curtain rod holes were still showing and some of the walls have black shoot substance like on them and the walls and base boards are marked up. The carpet is full of cigarette burns and stains. There was some kind of sticky food left on the back splash in the kitchen, never mind I was left a smelly, dirty and broken valet trash can. The list could go on and on. If they didn't have such a strict policy on cancelling the remaining lease, we would be long gone from here!
After reading some of the reviews on this property I really have to disagree. I moved here from another city to go to school and have lived here for almost 3 years. This is the nicest apartment complex on the east side of town. The apartment is well taken care of. The property is clean and the breezeways are always clean. I will admit that I didn't put my trash in the valet trash can and did receive a trash fine for $25 from management but I get it- it was my fault- they do work hard to keep the breezeways in good shape. If I have ever had a maintenance problem it has been taken care of and Todd and Shawn have always been very nice and professional. Not being from Montgomery I have met people at the different resident functions that they provide at least once a month. I've even received breakfast at 6 a.m. For a college student that is golden!!!! My experience with the office staff has always been pleasant. I just wanted to give my two cents seeing that other people haven't always had nice things to say.

First off, don't let the landscaping fool you(only decent thing about this place). Although prepare to be woken up at 7 a.m. every Monday morning by leaf blowers and lawn mowers. Walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbor cough, or close a door. I've complained about my neighbor dozens of times for being loud at all hours of the night. I get a "sorry" from management. Imagine trying to sleep with someone stomping around at 3 a.m. on a Monday night. The management refuses to spend any money. The car center hasn't had a working vacuum since i moved in. Now the spray hose doesn't work. My washing machine has broken twice, refrigerator once and each time they just "repaired it". Washing machine sounds like an airplane is taking off when its run. It's no problem for management when they accidentally run your payment twice. After i called them on it they said just don't worry about paying next month. Pay them late on the other hand and prepare for the late charges. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
My mother-in-law moved into a 3 bedroom apartment from out of state. When we arrived in Montgomery to pick up the keys and walk the apartment, we were disgusted with the urine smell in the unit. They put an ozone machine inside the apartment before she moved her belongings in and also clean the carpets again. While the smell never totally went away, we put deodorizer in the closets and asked for it to be noted in the file. While living in this apartment, my father-in-law passed away. My mother-in-law went to the office to speak to Mona Smith, the assistant property manager, in regards to her move out options and the costs. She was advised at this time that she could turn in her keys at any point and because of Alabama law, if she didn’t pay rent after the pay or quit letter, her balance would be written off and she wouldn’t owe it. What she failed to properly explain to my mother-in-law is that it would be considered an eviction on her rental history. The buy-out fee is equal to 60 days rent with a notice. It was cheaper for her to stay through the end of her lease and pay the prorated rent which I don’t believe was ever explained to her prior to my involvement. Fast forward to the day of move-out which was a complete disaster. Yesterday my mother-in-law went to the office to schedule a move out inspection with Mona for 12p on Tuesday. We were ready for the walk through but Mona did not show up. We called the office and asked to speak to Mona but apparently she left for lunch at 11:30 and didn’t bother to call and let us know OR send someone in her absence. After driving to the office to make alternative arrangements, the property manager Stacey was VERY rude and unprofessional in her apology. I say this because she walked by us very quickly without so much as an acknowledgement and hesitated to turn around when we asked if she was the property manager. We have a 5 hour drive to our destination today so the lack of communication and disregard for our time is not appreciated. To anyone looking to move here, I very seriously suggest you look elsewhere. The property is okay but the experience you have with the staff will leave you feeling dissatisfied and angry. You will not get return phone calls, clear answers to questions or any type of communication. We have reached out to Inland Residential in regards to this experience so that it can be properly addressed. I would avoid this property and company at all costs.

We were given only a day before we moved in to inspect the apartment so we had no choice to take what was given. Upon inspection, we found spiders throughout the property. Spider webs in the closets. Dust on all the lighting fixtures. Rust pits on the fixtures in the bathrooms. The windows had leaks in them so they stayed foggy all the time. The washing machine smelled horrible. The kitchen tile was busted off where it met the living room and posed a safety hazard for our son. They did not fix the request until weeks after we signed a contract. We left early and they required us to pay $2419.00 in early termination fees even though they stuck us with a horrible apartment. There was no negotiating or offers of a different apartment. Just an "OH WELL, Here's the bill".
I have live at the verandas about two years now. It's a very nice place to stay ,the only thing I have problems with is my neighbor up stairs. I have completed many of times nothing change .Music always up loud, when he walk across the floor it's like he's running everytime he walk. Can't really get any rest .When he comes home late at night u will know because it's going to wake up. I'm moving in a couple of weeks can't wait! so who ever move in they will have problems..
Quiet area but carpet leaves a lot to be desired. Breezeways on ground floors are full of frog feces. Customer service is great and repairs are taken care of immediately. grounds are nice and kept clean , could not find a better place.
The Verandas at Mitylene in Montgomery, AL has been an exceptional place to live for the past years. The staff are very friendly and know you by name when you walk into the office to pick up a package or drop off rent. The maintenance staff handles all problems within a appropriate amount of time between 24 to 48 hours if not less. The pool and other facilities are kept clean and maintained. The apartment is equipped with washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. There has never been a problem with any of the appliances. It has been home for the past 3 years and would not have found a better place to be.
I have been living here for 2 months now. I had a problem with my washing machine when I first moved in. They repaired it the same day I called. It is very quiet and the office staff are friendly and helpful. I am really enjoying my new apartment!
