Nestled in Monmouth County, Howell Township was incorporated in the early 19th century and named after New Jersey Governor Richard Howell, who resided in office from 1794 to 1801.
Howell is centrally located among everything from the ocean to bars and shopping – you name it! Ocean Drive is adjacent to a miles-long stretch of pristine beaches, and it’s only a 30-minute car ride away. Just down the road from this vibrant community, you’ll discover the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets with shops like GUESS, Carter’s, DKNY, Coach, Adidas, and LOFT – and golf greens such as the Cruz Golf Country Club.
Route 9 and I-195 allow for easy travel. Public transportation is abundant here too as the NJ Transit offers daily rides into Manhattan, in addition to local routes. Pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students attend classes in the Howell Township Public Schools system, while ninth graders and up attend school in the Freehold Regional High School District.

There is a lack of parking, a good amount of dog waste and litter. Although there are security gates, they have not worked for years.
The apartments are extremely expensive. The only advantage is the garage. Frankly, all of the finishes are cheap, Home Depot quality. The property is poorly maintained and good luck with trying to get maintenance to come out for a service call……not going to happen ??
I noticed people have 4 or 5 cars per apartment. And they do not use there garages or driveways to park. They take other open spots . They will shuffle there cars around to never loose one of the few visitors parking spots . Also you can’t air out your apartment or keep windows open . As the people stand outside the building smoking Cigarettes or smoke on the balconies it pulls rite into the apartment. Snow removal the past winter was non existent . They drove around for hours in a truck rather than touching the sidewalks each storm. No shoveling or salting . The residents shoveled
Ever since Verdana sold to Solomon the property and atmosphere declined. Trash cans left out for days are visible and not stored in garage or appropriate storage rooms. Cars constantly parked on street blocking cars and ignoring "do not park" signs, essentially towing is not enforced. The property has not been kept up, with dead trees, overgrown bushes, the tennis court no longer accessible due to kids vandalism. Snow removal was poorly executed blocking driveways. The list goes on and on.
There are many problems here. There are security issues, problems with how the place is run and how the property is maintained. Do yourself a favor and don't move here. If negative scores were allowed this would be a -5 stars.
Office manager is very rude and condescending. Often sending very rude emails and not a pleasure to speak with.
My family and I just moved here almost 1 month ago and we couldn't be happier. Beautiful, bright, new, clean, safe and friendly neighbors. Stacy and Amanda in the management office are awesome, they have gone above and beyond making our move pleasant and an overall great experience.
Clean well kept outside and very friendly staff. Moved in had questions and Amanda took care of all concerns. Two bedroom, two bath rooms apartment really good space.
Great apartment, beautiful new homes built about 3 years ago. Love that it's a quiet, gated community, away from traffic, making it a safer place to raise kids, safe for them to go out and play. Also love the amenities: central AC/heating, built-in microwave, dishwasher, and our own washer/dryer concealed in separate laundry room. We like to hang out in the Clubhouse located within the complex, with a gym, lounge area with TV/cable and billiards, and community kitchen; while outdoor areas consist of a pool with lounge chairs and lifeguard, tennis court, kids playground, and BBQ grills/picnic table area. All free and open to all residents. Assigned parking is great, no need to hunt for a parking spot is always a plus, although a garage comes with most units. Grounds are well-kept, all buildings brightly lit by streetlamps at night. Great staff and maintenance if you have any issues... Plenty of restaurants and shopping. Five minute walk to bus to NYC. When friends and family visit, they all compliment on how nice it is, and how they'd like to live here too. What more can I say?
