Keep your eyes fixed on River West, an expansive neighborhood that’s quickly becoming a hotspot for Chicago renters. The area is situated just west of the Chicago River and bounded by the Kennedy Expressway to the north and south, and Chicago Avenue to the north. There has been a surge of revitalization and renovation efforts in this charming Windy City locale. Classic Chicago style can be found in River West’s mid-rise brick buildings, apartments, and brownstone-style townhomes. There’s a burgeoning restaurant scene on the western side of the neighborhood near the expressway, complete with craft cocktail lounges and nightlife options for those who like to experience the city after dark.
Renters love River West because of its relatively quiet atmosphere. The biggest draw, however, is the area’s ease of accessibility in relation to the rest of Chicago. The Blue Line will carry you into the southwest portion of the city or out to Chicago O’Hare International.

Property Ratings at Verdant Apartments
Lived here for 2 years, overall I’ve enjoyed it, the facility is nice and I like area. Great access to blue line and 66 and 56 buses, also a 20 min walk to west loop and wicker park.
Maintenance has been doing a terrific job with all needed repairs. Everything is going well at Linkt. And although initially skeptical, I like the addition of Fetch to the building's services. Packages are delivered much more reliably now thanks to Fetch.
I have really enjoyed living here. My 3 bed/2 bath has been very spacious for my roommates and I. It’s super close to public transit. It’s a safe area that I feel comfortable walking in. The amenities are small, but they’re nice to have. I like the in-unit laundry too.
Great location great units, amenities are a bit lacking, grill area could be better. no major complaints about noise or cleanliness from other neighbors!

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're delighted to hear you enjoy the location and units, and we appreciate your suggestions on improving the grill area and amenities.
I’m halfway through my lease and have really enjoyed my time here. Great amenities, spacious units and a safe environment. It’s close to the blue line stop and several bus stops too. Great coffee shops nearby and only 2 stops from the Loop.
It’s okay. Expensive parking and lots of issues with utilities. Microwave didn’t work, lights don’t work in any room and laundry room. When something breaks it takes forever to be fixed
No complaints at all about our recent experience at Linkt. Management has dramatically improved the past couple of years, and the maintenance service and responsiveness in particular is OUTSTANDING. Whenever we need maintenance assistance, the team is there to help right away! Also, there was recently a garage access issue due to an outgoing resident breaking the garage door. Management handled the situation promptly and professionally and made everything right for residents. I genuinely enjoy living here!!
It's a good community, however I believe the administration needs to invest a little bit more in maintenance of common areas. Sometimes elevators are a bit dirty or the gate door gets locked and you are kept if you don't bring the keys with you. People is nice here but they are not as social as you would like to

Hello Luis. Thank you very much for this feedback. The elevators can occasionally get dirty when dirt is tracked in. Our wonderful cleaning staff responds to these times as quickly as possible in addition to their daily cleaning routine of the elevators and common areas. We will continue to make cleanliness a priority. As for access to the front of the building; the revolving door is only open during office hours and the passage doors are key fob access only. As a controlled access building, we try to keep unauthorized people from wandering through the residential spaces. If you are going to be leaving the building I recommend taking your fob with you, especially if it is outside of our business hours.
I like my unit because it is modern and spacious. Maintenance issues are addressed quickly. Sadly, the garage has not been safe- bikes (including mine) were stolen and cars have been broken into. The gym is efficient but when a treadmill broke, it was not replaced. The units are well priced and the location is great- right off the Blue Line and several bus routes.
Wonderful experience so far! I feel safe and welcome in this building. My neighbors have been very kind and open. Everything in the apartment is new and updated.
Honestly, everything is really great here at Linkt, just wish people would stop propping open the garage door. It should be shut for a reason so others cannot get into our building.
The environment here is great. I’ve always felt safe and taken care of. The amenities are small but very nice. I use the gym almost everyday. The outdoor patio is great for roasting s’mores and having a cookout. There was an extra fee added onto rent for a package receiving service, but nothing that was not in the lease! I would recommend other people living here. It’s more quiet than living downtown, but still very close with the blue line right across the street!
Linkt checks all of the boxes for a great (and seamless) place to live in downtown Chicago. It is less expensive than other new or almost-new apartment properties in the neighborhood and considerably less expensive than River North, the Loop etc. It's overall just a great value. The gym is a nice amenity and the location alongside the blue line and the highway cannot be beat. Highly recommended!
Lovely units with nice amenities and a better price point than other buildings in the neighborhood. I wish there was more autonomy with utilities and other choices, we're forced to use SimpleBills which is notorious for price gouging and it comes with a fee every month, and they also enforce Fetch package which is annoying and now they want us to pay for it with no option to decline. If it weren't for the unneccessary extra fees this building would be perfect.
My experience has been pretty good. Nothing too bad. Maintenance is pretty good on getting back to me quickly and the place is overall pretty clean.
My time at LINKT Apartments has been really positive. Right from the initial email to moving in and even dealing with a few appliance hiccups, everything has gone pretty smoothly. The staff here have been attentive and made sure all my concerns were sorted out.
Management does not respond to emails or calls. Waiting for my lease to end to get out of here. One of the worst!
Great location, great apartment! This apartment is close to coffee shops, the L stop and great restaurants! It also has a great communal areas to hang out!
Things are going very well at Linkt. Any recent problems/concerns I've had have been EXTREMELY PROMPTLY addressed by Management. Plus, maintenance is outstanding. I had an issue with my stove, and the response time to fix was incredibly fast. The entire team at Linkt are doing a tremendous job to make residents feel welcome. Thank you to Carroll, Ari, Bekim and Chris - so very much appreciated.
Great building and management. They keep the common area clean and the equipments up to date. There are also events and free food from time to time.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a 5 star shout out! We LOVE River West and the neighborhood. We're so grateful to have you as part of our community.
Love it here! I wish the area there is more to do around here, but that’s not departments fault. The maintenance is great. I love them annuities, and just overall love atmosphere.
Management is incredibly unprofessional & unresponsive. I would avoid renting here if you can help it. There are other great options in the area to choose from.
Just renewed my lease at Linkt for another year. Have lived here with my family for several years in one of the 3 BD units. My absolute favorite thing about Linkt is the quiet. When my wife and I moved from NYC to Chicago, we had noise issues in several high end buildings in Streeterville, the Loop and River North. All were pricier than the Linkt, and because of the incessant noise from other residents, all were far inferior and often frustrating places to live. Other than very occasional issues, we have enjoyed our unit in peace and tranquility for years now. And when the issues did occur, our neighbors were understanding and immediately resolved things. Relatedly, an entire 7-story apartment building has been constructed right adjoining the Linkt over the past year. Literally one foot away. Over the course of the entire year, other than 6-7 incidents of unavoidable noise and construction tumult which are to be expected, it's been beyond surprisingly quiet. I attribute this to the very thick and sturdy windows at the Linkt. If you open your unit window, the noise generally throughout the day and at night is quite high (being on Milwaukee and Chicago Avenues). However, when you close your window it all goes away. Not the case for us at all in other Chicago apartment buildings. So if you want to live in the city but retain some peace and quiet in your unit, in our experience the Linkt has been the best. Also, the owner/landlord has been very reasonable every year on the rent. No surprise obnoxious increases. Very very fair. Also, no surprise "supplemental rent" requirements either (as we've had in other new managed buildings), such as additional utility packages, charges for sewer, water etc. and other such irritants. It's all been on the up and up as far as pricing. The maintenance responsiveness here is now also quite quick to remedy issues. It's been a mixed bag on that front over the years here, but the new management has made very strong improvements. The maintenance staff are solid!

Thank you for the amazing review and update throughout your time. We are so happy you are noticing the improvements our team works hard for everyday. Thank you for renewing. We hope you enjoy a wonderful Chicago summer. -Carroll
This place is horrible. I hate the fact that o have five months left on my lease. Hallways are always dirty. Management is unresponsive to everything. Gym has broken and stolen stuff in it with management saying it’s not their problem. They will charge you for amenities but none will work. Also it’s loud as hell in the apartments because you’re next to the highway but also because the building is constantly making noise. They are doing construction right outside now so don’t expect a peaceful day. They don’t care about covid because we have had multiple maintenance workers show up without masks on. It’s just awful.
I’ve lived at Linkt for 2 years and have experienced 3 different management companies. Although the first two were not great, the most recent one, 33 Realty is by far the worst. The property managers (there are currently 2) are unresponsive, have no follow through and neglect the building. There is one email address that goes to two different property managers, but it still takes them 10 days to reply (even when the email is regarding a safety issue). It took 32 emails back-and-forth over a period of 12 weeks to get my lease renewed with all the correct information. And it wasn’t until after my apartment was broken into that management finally applied the rent concession that was due to me two months prior. Ridiculous. Thanks to 33 Realty’s neglect, the building is filthy and falling apart. Hallways that were once regularly vacuumed, shampooed and mopped, now lie dirty for days. And carpet stains remain for months. The elevators have not been fully up to code since they were inspected in May. Plus, the speaker on the building’s intercom system rarely works, so you have no idea who you’re buzzing in at the door. Management is absolutely terrible. DO NOT RENT HERE!
Building management has been awful since signing the lease. There have been several maintenance issues including hot water being out and elevators being out of service for 5 weeks. Some of the listed amenities should be removed since the building management will not take the time or resources to actually provide them: Outdoor Fire Pit (has not worked since the day I moved in), Security System (when my LOCKED bike was stolen out of the "secure" garage, I was told they would not pay the money to have the security tapes reviewed and instead was asked how I think they could improve security), Intercom (almost always out of service), On-Site Retail (?),
The call system is always out. Never hot water and constantly goes out. Cheaply built. Way over priced. Worst management and I've lived in many places in chicago and NYC! Terrible terrible terrible place. Avoid
