Vernon Gardens

This place is an 11/10. Apartments are spacious, landscapers are there at least weekly taking care of lawn etc. Snow is always cleared in a timely manner. Pool is a great plus in the summer, never crowded. We had a small maintenance problem which was fixed within the hour. Neighbors are friendly and keep to themselves. We could not ask for a better experience!

My partner and I have been here for 2 months now. We really like the place it is amazing, it was newly renovated and we can’t wait to decorate it so it feels more like home to us. However, for the past two months, the neighbours that live below us have been doing little things to harass us. In addition to that, on our 3rd day moving in, they Vandalised my partners car and tried to lie to our face when the property camera caught them. We eventually filed a police report, but ever since then those neighbours, especially the man has been trying us. Property manager was good in the beginning of situation but we felt as though they were/are trying to down play the situation & are ignoring us and hardly responds. Wish I can continue to say communication is good but it’s not. Overall though, it’s a pretty good place to be, just have to be careful of these people you live amongst.

Jenny at Vernon Gardens was great with making a new apartment available for us in a very quick time period. The unit is spacious with lots of natural light and newly renovated appliances! Highly suggest to anyone looking for a roomy one bedroom in a great location.

I did a lot of research about finding a dog friendly apartment in Western Mass and northern CT and I'm so glad I found this one. I've been living here for about a year and a half and I love it. It's pretty quiet for an apartment and the price is pretty reasonable for the space. The only negatives I can say is that there is no fan in the bathroom and it's right near the water treatment plant so it smells bad sometimes. But overall I am very happy at the Vernon gardens.

We've lived here for a few years now and don't believe we will be moving away any time soon! The apartments are beautiful, laundry facilities clean, and the staff are amazing. The office manager is always available for questions and with maintenance on site, they are quick to come over if their assistance is required. Plus there are 0 hidden fees and their whole complex is so pet friendly! No pet rent or pet deposit is almost unheard of! We love it here!

Very hard to find a place like Vernon Gardens !! The team there are always on top of their A game in keeping the Up-work of the place. They are friendly, professional, and willing to help with what they can. It’s been 2 months since I moved away from Vernon Gardens and I must say I miss everything about that community very much..! The 1 bedroom is spacious and has an absolutely cozy feeling with beautiful views of the water. It is a very pet friendly place with a trail behind along the water. I’ve spotted a few cool sightings of beavers, rabbits, deers, turtles, frogs/toads, etc.

My wife & I have been for almost a year and have been really happy. We looked at a lot of places before we found Vernon gardens and when we walked into our unit for the first time we knew we were home. Bonus is many amenities are included in rent which wasn’t the case for a lot of the other complexes we looked at.

I was able to get a 1 bedroom for my husband and I, we were on a search for a while with our dogs. Jenny was kind enough to approve us and get us a home, what drew me in was the cleaniness of the apartment and how professional she was thank you so much.

Ever since we started living here 2 years ago, we have been well taken care of! Fair prices, and the office is a delight to work with. The owner Peter is more worried about his tenants, then he is a paycheck, he’ll of a guy. I definitely recommend this complex. Good people, great vibes! The Wetherington’s.

The price is right, the neighbors are nice, heat and hot water included. My unit was in great shape when I moved in - basically new. If you need anything Jen in the office is very helpful and quick to respond. I've rented in a lot of places and nowhere is perfect. They tick a lot of the right boxes here, though. Very happy here.

During my time at Vernon Gardens over the last year, I had no complaints. The community is pretty quiet and well kept. Heat and hot water included is a plus. Jenny in the office is super responsive and helpful if you need anything or have any questions. I never had to even make one maintenance request. I was in one of the remodeled units and loved it!

After searching tirelessly for a place to rent, I stumbled upon Vernon Gardens. Upon first impression, the apartments looked beautiful and it was what we were looking for. I called and spoke with Jenny, who scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival, the complex looked beautiful. The grounds were well maintained and the property looked well kept. I had never rented an apartment before and Jenny made the renting experience fantastic. She answered all of our questions and worked with us throughout the process. I have yet to move-in but our experience was so great that we have no concerns about moving in.

I’ve moved in recently and I really enjoy living here, the community is quiet and I love that I can have my dog with me. I have a brand new modern renovated apartment and I like my neighbors too. Jenny was very helpful and they take care of everything here. Greg

I have lived in Vernon Gardens for two years and I can not say enough great things about the Rental Office staff. Jenny and the staff in the leasing office are not only attentive and kind but easy to reach. Through out my time living here, I have yet to have a complaint or problem. Any questions or concerns that have come up have been effectively and efficiently taken care of. I appreciate the consistent staff presence around the apartment complex. A great experience from start to finish!

My wife and I began renting at Vernon Gardens in 2017. During that time, we couldn't be more complimentary of the staff and community. Whenever there were any issues, they were prompt in solving it and providing above and beyond service. From keeping the property well maintained, the walking trails just out our door, and the snow removal services provided, we couldn't have been happier. While we purchased a home and left the community, it was bittersweet to leave a place where we made so many memories, grew in our lives, and made great connections along the way.

These apartments are priced tight and offer wonderful amenities including a beautiful pool and clubhouse, great townhouse apartments surrounded by woods, and conveniently located near stores, restaurants and the highway. Very well maintained with responsive staff. Definitely worth checking out.

Come in on a special and you won't regret it! I've lived here for 2 years now. Maintenance has always prompt with repairs and work hard to keep the snow plowed and shoveled (walkways included) all winter long. While moving your car can be a pain, it's definately worth it to not have to shovel yourself out. The 1 Bed/1 Bath is surprisingly big feeling due to the layout. The kitchen is nice and the renovated appliances are great. If you're on the first floor you'll probably use the back door more than the front. I've gone through a lot of rearranging and you can do a lot with the space. At one point I had a treadmill and workout bike in my place. Right now I've two TVs on the living space with multiple gaming setups. I have used the pool a lot and it's kept very clean during the summer minus some bugs here and there. The storage is nice but use pallets to keep your stuff off the ground as it can be damp. I personally don't use the trails as I'm not outdoorsy, but I see folks walking them often. Pets allowed! My two cats have plenty of room to zoomies about the apartment with 3 cat towers and 2 litter boxes. Neighbors are good, everyone is pretty friendly and we've got a few other couples that we hang out with regularly that we met while living here. The ceiling can be thin if you're living on the first floor but neighbors are pretty accomodating if you ask re: noise. It's been a very safe place as well, I've only known of a moped being stolen in 2017 since I moved here. I've no really complaints about these apartments. They were very accommodating when I moved here in a hurry and I've had no issues with management or maintenance and it's been a good space at a good value.

My fiance and I lived here for two years, one of those being with our newly adopted puppy. The apartment we had was a one-bedroom, newly remodeled unit with beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen, all new appliances, hardwood floors, and spacious rooms with lots of closet space! The community itself is beautiful and usually peaceful and quiet. They have an awesome inground pool and I always felt very safe walking or jogging around the property, with or without my pup. The office is very responsive to coming out to take a look at anything that needed attention. I would highly recommend living here!

The townhouse unit is beautiful along with the property. Very happy to of stayed here. Very quiet as well.

I have been living here for a few months and I cant say how happy I am. The management team in the office are awesome, they take care of any issue right away. heat and hot water is included. I was not able to have a dog due to non-pet friendly communities but I will be adopting my 1st dog soon and I'm so excited!!! the property is well kept and very quiet. neighbors are friendly and to put the cherry on top my unit is fully renovated! I recommend these apartments to everyone.

I moved here recently with my dog and love this place. So many people here have dogs and everyone is very friendly and the residents do a great job of cleaning up after their pets. The community hs many dog stations and the grounds are maintained each week. The pool is great too! The management is helpful and they recently took trees down and now I can see the lake from my unit...which is really cool. my apartment is remodeled with hardwood floors, new kitchen and stainless appliances. I send all my friends here!

I have really enjoyed the new management company and definitely see a big improvement from new roofs,new Windows,new doors,new kitchens all of the landscaping sidewalks and pavement has been replaced. I’ve read some of the reviews and I think anywhere you go you’re going to hear your neighbors. I’ve lived in a few apartment communities even newer ones and I can still hear my neighbors. All in all I have had a wonderful experience I love the property manager she’s helpful And delivers realistic expectations. I used to have a one bedroom but moved into a townhome that has been completely remodeled and I love it also being in a town home I have no one above me. I enjoy the pool with my son and the community now looks warm, Inviting and a much happier place to call home. I also feel they do a fantastic job with snow in the winter time which isn’t always easy with such a large community and people not wanting to move their vehicles I’ve lived in other places where this was a nightmare. Sincerely happy tenant !!

I lived at Vernon gardens for 6 years and the entire time was one big nightmare. I don’t know how many times I complained to management about sound complaints and there not being enough parking and they didn’t care. All they care about is the bottom line. The walls are paper thin and they don’t enforce simple rules throughout the complex like pick up after your dog. So glad I moved out of there. Now I’m in a new apartment complex that actually takes complaints seriously and is proactive.

I had the worst experience staying here for 1.5 years. We had no other go due to the lease. We lived in a very stressful environment due to bad infrastructure. We could literally hear everything from the people upstairs. We tried talking to them and also complained to the management umpteen number of times when things were worsening but they were very rude and paid no heed to our requests. We even sent out a formal mail but there was no reply to it at all. Few of the repair works were not fixed till the end. The management's answer was - "its not a priority. We have other things to do". This is how they treat tenants once you sign the lease. Please do not fall for the cheap rents. Stay away from this place

never move here , the property manager is so rude , so much rules , no parking , too much rent for the facilities they providing to you, they will always take something out from your security deposit as they did with me and few other tenant they left with us and they all left as they raise they rent by 200 to 300 .

we have been living here a little over two years in this time we have seen many improvements put into the buildings and grounds the apartments are very roomy and the grounds are kept up nicely summer and winter the complex is also in a good location both the office staff and the maintenance staff are friendly and helpful

The apartment complex staff are wonderful! There is regular office hours and an emergency hotline for 24/7 emergency maintenance. When I had a problem with water pressure, I just called over to the office and someone was over in less than two hours to fix the water pressure. The buildings are fairly private with two to four apartments to a building. The apartment complex is pet-friendly too which was a huge selling point, a one time pet fee as well instead of extra rent every month. This is a great apartment complex for having roommates or a family, I would recommend this complex to my friends and family.
