Property Ratings at Verona at District Heights
Ms. Maria, Destini and Brenda have been very kind, patient, helpful and professional. My apartment is modern, nice and spacious. A few things needed attention and they took care of it right away as promised. Maintenance has been friendly and professional as well. It’s quiet and well kept. They will be repaving the parking spaces soon, which is a plus. I know change takes time but I can see that they are trying to make this community better, comfortable and livable for their residents. So far, so good.

Beware! Proceed with caution. If I could I would give zero stars because that’s what this community deserves. My family has been living in these apartments since May and were persuaded to move in under false pretenses. They tell you these apartments are newly renovated but they look like they have been lived in since renovated. We went months without hot water and working A/C. On days it is 90+ outside my apartment is 80+. My apartment can become a sauna. My kids and I have suffered from heat exhaustion multiple times. Gave me a window unit that barley cools one room let alone an entire apartment and it damaged my carpet. My A/C still isn’t working and I have yet to receive an update on when it will or if it will be repaired. Don’t even think about calling the rental office or maintenance because they ALL DRAG THEY FEET WHEN IT COMES TO GETTING STUFF DONE, they all point the finger at each other, act like they have a problem because you’re informing them about these unsafe living conditions they are failing to fix. This is all just part of the issues. I haven’t even begun to talk about the mice and roach problem or the flooding or the shootings or the police harassment or the parking around here. Recently the ceiling in my kids room had a piece fall from an active leak. New issue ceiling and water damage. Let’s see how long it takes to resolve this issue. Again proceed with caution and know that everything that sounds good ain’t good. They do and say whatever to get you in then treat you like crap.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this short but sweet feedback! We're happy to hear that you are enjoying your time with us at Verona at District Heights. Have a great day! -The Team at Verona at District Heights
This apartment complex is terrible!!!! From the leasing office, to the apartment it self!!!!! The leasing office staff is beyond rude and disrespectful, ever since they turned over to this new management it’s gone nothing but down hill!!!! The old company at least took care of maintenance issues! I’ve asked numerous times for them to fix the lights in our building and no one has come!! It’s mold growing in the apartments my son had really bad asthma and can no longer sleep in his room so what am I paying for exactly?? my apartment leaks every single time it rains and hasn’t stopped since and NO ONE has come to resolve the issue but they will come to the same building to put a notice on the door!! Endless mice and roaches and when I witnessed the exterminator literally just look and leave I was to through!! I can’t wait to move!!! avoid by ALLLLL MEANS for you and your family safety!!!

This apartment gives our visitor parking passes and has visitor parking space throughout community but does not left any visitor parking in the visitor space during the date. They do not have any sign at the visitor parking space saying that “you re not allowed to park here from 6am - 10pm”. They expect you know their rule as a visitor when you just came to visit. I have visitor parking pass clearly visible in front of my car, I parked in the visitor parking lot as many other apartment. I did not expect that my car get towed parking at the visitor lot with the visitor pass. There is no sign at the parking lot saying that you do not allow to park here at all. The visitor tag does not say anything about it on the tag. My car got towed and they said that it’s because I’m visitor and I parked at the visitor parking lot before 10pm. This apartment rule is crazy. There is no sign about visitor can park in the visitor parking lot. Why do you have visitor parking lot but don't let any visitor parking there. I have no idea about their rule at all. No sign at the parking saying that you can't park here even you have the parking tag. They said that you are not allowed to park in the visitor parking lot as a visitor until 10pm even though you have the visitor parking tag. They have the stupidest and weirdest rule ever "visitor can only park from 10pm to 6am".... so if you want to come here renting and having friends come visit, your friends won't able to visit you until 10pm. Who is coming to some's apartment at 10pm to 6am? The worst apartment I ever seen , the stupidest rule ever. If you have friends, you will be likely to be lonely and none of your friend will come to visit you in this place because of their rule.

We are very sorry your experience visiting our community led to so much frustration as that is not our intent. We encourage our residents to always communicate with their friends and family visiting and contact the office with any questions.
VERONA management if that's what you want to call them just took over this year. Since they have been here we did not have working air until late August. The property has gone down since new management. They turn the water off at 9pm with no notification to the residents. You never can talk to the property manager or corporate. Rental office employees lie, and are very rude. There is no after hours maintenance on duty. No one ever answers the phone. People are moving out right and left. Because of these reasons and there is mold and water issues in all of the buildings. Do not rent here you're better off living on the streets.

Your review has been read. Our staff is working endlessly to make sure all Residents are being helped with their requests. Our staff is here, during normal working hours to help if you would like to come see so we can better understand your situation.
I used to live over there 10 years ago and ended up with roaches. They exterminated my apartment, that didn't do any good. So, they exterminated the whole building and that didn't do any good. So, I finally moved out and that was the best thing that I could have done. I have Asthma and I was spraying, they were spraying and it just got to be too much. Then on top of that I had to mail my rent to Kensington, MD because they didn't except it in the Rental Office!! Good luck if you are moving there!
So I was in a emergency situation where I needed to move. I was looking for a place that was secure, especially because I am a young single woman, and convenient. I moved into Pennbrooke because the location was great and they were running a special. When I got my keys the apartment they gave me was way in the back. The apartments main door was broken. I was ensured it would be fixed and never was. The Next 2 days living there I started to see roaches. They excuse given was that the previous tenant may have had them. After complaining they did spray but it still didbt do anything. Not even being there now 3 weeks my apartments was broken in to. My tv was stolen. The Next week my mail box was broken into. Still the complex has not fixed the main door and currently I am trying to get out the lease
this complex takes its time fixing things has bed bugs and roaches dont follow through wit fixing things unless you go send a letter to corp. The staff is rude and has no knowledge of what it takes to run an apartment complex. Then the rent is extremly high and not worth the price. They promise you free rent accent walls and lots more and you get none of that at all. i rate this complex a F.
I am currently a resident at Pembroke station apartments. I have found this property to be quite peaceful in the midst of everyday stress. So often when people speak about the District Heights area they immediately associate it With crime and noise. Contrary to popular belief, Pembroke station apartments is wonderfully quiet, with very little Crime, and a wonderful family environment. For anyone looking for an apartment close to the city but not in the city Pembroke station Apartments is the perfect place.
