The area surrounding Rockford’s East Bank is a thriving and diverse suburban community, with a healthy mix of residential, recreation, and retail. The cost of living tends to be quite low, and this is reflected in the houses and apartments available for rent.
Students have access to numerous excellent public schools, as well as post-secondary education at Rockford University on the south side and Rock Valley College on the north side. Several shopping centers spread throughout the community, with most clustered near Highway 20. The local hospitals are located near the intersection of Highway 20 and Mulford Road.

Property Ratings at Versailles Place Apartments
this is the absolute worst place ever. Mold, poor property maintenance, the pool is so bad.
Deceptive rental practices. No feedback regarding concerns with rental agreement. Telephone calls completely ignored. Horrible experience. Do yourself a favor, look somewhere else to rent.
I have lived here for about a year and plan to stay for at least another year. I truly believe that these are some of the best apartments for the price, you get a lot for what you pay. Pros: affordable, great property manager/office staff, maintenance is quick, quiet, laundry in the building with an elevator to the basement so no lugging laundry baskets up and down the stairs, pet-friendly, good location, very spacious, friendly neighbors, safe, good jogging neighborhood just a parking lot away, Cons: when it rains there are giant puddles at every entrance; so you'll need rain boots to get in and out or be good at jumping puddles (and with rain my patio becomes completely unusable with several inches of water right up to the door), the pool was never open in 2020 with management citing covid restrictions but I have heard from others that the pool wasn't open in 2019 either so if that is important to you then you may want to look into other options, the parking lot is a little rough.
No complaints about neighbors or outside noises-quiet building Great location-easy access to everything in town! Very friendly & attentive staff-quick response time
really a bad place to live, no maintenance, not clean, pool closed and dirty, pavement broken with holes, water falls from the ceiling, stained rugs, dirty laundry, the garbage cans full and do not come to remove the garbage, do not remove the snow in time

Me and daughter has been living here for about 2 years now and we love it here. All of the shopping areas are close by, plus some of the best schools are only minutes away. But the staff Tina and Anthony are the MOST AMAZING people ever. Anthony always goes over and beyond for his tenants and always fixes things at a decent time frame. He's very helpful and always makes sure that the building is clean and kept up well. Tina always comes up with great games ideals for tenants to mingle with one another and get to know one another. She always puts out monthly newsletters letting the tenants know what's going on in the community for each month and always giving the tenants holiday/cooking ideals. She is kind, understsnding and has alot of patience when she's dealing with one or more issues. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place to anyone who looking for a place to stay. It's comfortable, great neighbors, great employees, and it's affordable..I give Versailles Place 5 stars ?????

I love the extra work they put into making your rental a great experience. Tina and Anthony are fantastic...each month Tina writes a newsletter of helpful hints and events to take advantage of in the area. She has also had special days to stop by the office for treats such as Taco Day or donuts for special occasions. During the summer she helped plan for fitness exercises at the pool.How she handles all this is amazing..She is right on the ball to list apartments as they come available.And Anthony- Wow he is AMAZING ..He is a one man SUPER MAINTENANCE person. How he can handle so many properties , and saving the business so much money. They deserve a raise. It's clear to see why Versailles is so successful with these two running the business. I chose this place because the rent was low, and obviously I love that. Even more amazing is the property manager, Beverly. She's super friendly and accommodating. She even goes out of her way to hunt me down when I have a package delivered to the office. I highly recommend this place.

when I made this my new home I felt very safe and at home immediately. everyone is friendly and maintenance concerns are addressed quickly. my ground floor apartment has an almost private patio yard space perfect for my dog! if you are looking for a quiet roomy place to call home , especially with your dog, this should be your next home! I will miss it when I have to move out of town in January....or sooner if you are interested in moving in quickly.... just ask about the as is two bed one bath ground floor apartment with the private patio space on the back of the building!
