Property Ratings at Via Reggio
I cannot emphasize enough: stay away from this apartment, especially if you have kids. We are a family of three with a toddler, and over the past year, we've been treated terribly by both the apartment management and the property itself. STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN. *Flooded Apartment: Our apartment flooded due to a sprinkler issue on the floor above, forcing an entire section of apartments to be evacuated. We had to pack up and stay at an Airbnb for three days. At the end of the month, we still received the full rent bill with no adjustment for those days. When we asked about it, the staff joked, "You should have gotten expensive renters insurance that covers hotel reimbursement." *Mold Problem: We had recurring mold problems throughout the apartment--in the living room, windows, and bathroom. Management treated mold as a non-urgent issue, taking a week to respond. In the past year, we've had a mold cleaning crew come out four times. *Harassment: Our upstairs neighbors frequently smoked (despite this being a non-smoking property) and hosted loud parties until 3 a.m. We tried to talk to them, but they were hostile. When we reported it to the leasing office, they sided with the neighbors, saying there was no evidence of smoking and that we should record a video or take pictures next time. Absolutely ridiculous. *Maintenance: The maintenance here is horrible. There's no emergency maintenance on-site. Once, we had to wait four days to get our kitchen sink fixed, leaving us unable to use it. *Final Straw: When we gave our 60-day notice to move out at the end of our lease, management suddenly became very strict. They asked us to clear out plants from our balcony, remove Christmas decorations, and empty out our garage parking space so their maintenance team could use the space. After all we had been through, this felt like the final blow. The entire experience left us stressed and depressed the last 3 months we had stayed there.
