Resting in the San Bernardino Valley, about five miles southwest of Downtown Riverside, La Sierra is a charming neighborhood with its own flavor. La Sierra has several small schools and parks, while multiple beaches are about an hour’s drive away. The neighborhood is home to La Sierra University, creating the vibrant atmosphere of a university town with an abundance of restaurants and shops. Many locals flock to Galleria at Tyler (which has over 180 stores, restaurants, and a movie theater) but La Sierra is also home to an ice-skating rink and a waterpark. The neighborhood is also convenient to California Baptist University and the University of California, Riverside. Residents enjoy a variety of housing options ranging from rows of bungalows to apartment complexes. There are rentals for every budget, but there many options that are much cheaper compared to other Riverside neighborhoods.

This is a great place to live. It is quiet and the amenities are excellent. Great for teenagers as they have a game room with a big screen. The grounds are always clean and the pool and jacuzzi are also nice. Maintenance is top notch and any issues gets fixed right away. Also have security at night and responsive when there is a noise issue.

Living here at Viano has been a rollercoaster , my car has been broken into, there has been homeless riding their bikes in and out of the gate to collect cans from the trash bins. Some very loud neighbors who constantly argue.

I spent months researching and touring apartments and their neighborhoods. Viano topped the list and I have to say how fortunate I am to now live here. I love everything about it. The apartments are beautiful with a great layout. The grounds are well kept with beautiful landscaping. The office staff is the most respectful group of people who go above and beyond to satisfy you. Move in experience was great! Xavier helped us every step of the way and answered all of our questions we even had a small mishap with one of our apartments keys and Xavier got one of the maintenance guys to come help us out almost immediately. Overall a smooth move in experience.

Neighbors are loud out of spite. Leasing office will ignore your maintenance emails and complaints. Lights are out all over the property at night. Unsafe to walk the grounds after the sun goes down. Homeless break in and steal packages from people’s porches. Homeless break in and sleep on the couches in the lounge area.

I love the location and appreciate the details like crown molding and granite counters. Recently, some changes in maintenance policies, like not changing the lightbulbs or fixtures in the apartment, have been frustrating and amenities need general upkeep like cleaning. But I would still recommend the complex due to the location and competitive pricing.

It’s nice and peaceful here and very clean. I lived in different apartments threw out my life in these by far are the best one. I like how there’s many places to relax and have a bbq and the pool area is very nice as well.

Definitely don't recommend this place
Lived there for a year and a half. Office staff were very hands off and any time we needed to ask for something, they seemed annoyed. The parking was HORRIBLE. We needed to pay for car ports and garages or it was a free-for-all. We broke our lease because we wanted to move out and they charged us two months rent plus our carport fee. Which is just ridiculous. We were told at our move out inspection that there were only going to be a few paint touch ups and cleaning to be done. "It doesn't seem to be much work", said the manager. We only received $29 back from our $500 damage deposit. Absolutely atrocious. The only good things were the maintenance staff.

No complaints thus far
Renewed our 3rd year here because we love our community & new management, as I had mentioned in another review. We appreciate the changes our new management has brought in. The staff in the leasing office is very helpful and have been very efficient with any questions or concerns we've had. Maintenance is great too! Love them! They are super sweet and always do an amazing job with any requests.

Maintenance staff are the best! The only ones that deserve the 5 stars!
Maintenance staff are the only ones that deserve 5 stars at this apartment complex! They are the most professional, timely, and respectful. I'm not sure why anyone would say they are slacking. If anything, I would keep the staff in the office accountable for things going wrong. Ever since there was change of ownership, the front office staff has been mediocre at best. Rent is skyrocketing in price, parking continues to be a problem, the gym is always a mess, noise issues persist many nights a week. And everything front office staff tries to "enforce" isn't real. It's whole lot of talk and not much action. But the one consistent thing of this apartment complex has been the maintenance staff. They have been excellent since the beginning of us moving here over a year and a half ago now. I will continue to give them praise and the best reviews because they are the ones that deserve it the most. The best maintenance staff I've ever encountered!

Viano is a great apartment complex. It's well keep and maintenance staff are some of the best and most professional. Parking is a nightmare and would love to see much more improvement in that area. Management staff are fine but slow to respond or don't even respond at all at times. All in all, it's a decent place to live.

An Amazing Apartment Community
I moved into Viano at Riverwalk back in 2015 when they were first being built and absolutely LOVED my apartment. As a military member, it is important to feel comfortable at home. It honestly felt like living in a resort. I had no issues with the apartment or the management. I’m looking forward to moving back soon.

Great Staff, New Apartments, Great Value!!
We moved in to these apartments in October, and have been amazed by the staff's positive attitudes and quick response to anything we've needed. Frank, in particular, has gone out of his way on a number of occasions (including Thanksgiving Day!) to make sure we were happy with our experience here at Avalon. They also make a point to involve the residents in a variety of monthly group events, and often offer gift cards and even lowered rent as prizes! Rent is significantly lower than our last apartment in Orange County; however, this apartment is twice as big and BRAND NEW! The crown moulding, granite countertops, and wood floors throughout really set this complex apart from the rest, and we could not be happier with our choice. Overall, a great apartment and a great value... We highly recommend it!

Avalon at Riverwalk
Moved in 2 weeks ago. The office staff made the process very painless. The complex is brand new. The amenities are very nice and the gym opens early and stays open late. Its across the street from a beautiful college. The college offers amenities to the public for a small fee. A lap pool and track. Its a quiet area. Lots of shopping all within a mile. Close to the metrolink stations for commuters. The front office girls and maintaince guys are really nice and have been very welcoming.

RATS!
I moved in a week ago and have had 2 rats already in my apartment. The staff was NOT very helpful and rude. Took the manager 6 hours to get a trap in my place. Not professional. Not to mention they have bees in their hot tub. " water bees"
