Stretched along the Mississippi River, Saint Louis is the second most populous city in Missouri. Regarded as the Gateway to the West, Saint Louis was the starting point of Lewis and Clark’s infamous expedition. Saint Louis’ most iconic landmark, the Gateway Arch, is a memorial celebrating the nation’s westward expansion.
In addition to its rich history, Saint Louis offers residents access to exceptional amenities and culture. An apartment in Saint Louis affords you the opportunity to climb sculptures composed of reclaimed building materials at the one-of-a-kind City Museum, or watch the Cardinals play ball at Busch Stadium.
Hit the town and catch a performance at the Fabulous Fox, or indulge in some retail therapy at the massive Saint Louis Outlet Mall. There’s incredible architecture to admire in the Washington Avenue Historic District, or you could experience the flora and fauna on display at the Saint Louis Zoo and Missouri Botanical Garden.

We're so pleased to know that Christy, Melinda, Jordan and Sydney have been helpful in addressing your concerns swiftly at Vicino on the Lake Apartments & Townhomes. Thanks for taking a moment to share this positive feedback with us!
During my tour of the property, I was shown a model apartment because mine was not available to be viewed. I was told the model was what my apartment would look like minus the laminate flooring. My apartment would be fully carpeted. The model had a microwave, granite countertops and newer/nicer finishes. Upon move in, I was very upset to find that other than the layout my new apartment did not look anywhere near the same. The countertops were low quality laminate, the fixtures were basic, and there was no microwave. When I spoke with them, I was told I must have misunderstood because they told me it was a different color scheme. That was extremely insulting. I asked about the microwave because on their website it said that was one of the amenities. They said that some units didn’t have one. I would have never signed a lease if I had seen the apartment I would live in. It was not worth the ridiculously high rent for a poorly maintained basic apartment. You are also required to pay $25 for valet trash even though there are dumpsters everywhere and your valet trash pick ups are often missed. One time my trash sat out 3 days. When I took the trash to the dumpster on my own, I was told that I needed to use the valet service. Ridiculous! During the summer my AC was not working well. It had to be on all the time to keep it somewhat cool. My electricity bills were very expensive. The technician told me the ac was old and should be replaced but that Vicino wouldn’t do that and that they would probably just put more insulation in the attic. He was right. The insulation didn’t help much either. I had stink bugs during the winter. The lake view was nice, but the fountain stops working often and then the lake gets stagnant and smelly. Once I told them I wasn’t renewing my lease, I haven’t been able to get in touch about an overcharge on my bill or dropping off keys. Overall, I was very unhappy with the bait and switch, and I am writing this so someone doesn’t have the same experience as me. The majority of the 5 star reviews seem to be from people who had looked at the property but not actually lived there. Don’t be fooled!

Thank you so much for being a fan of Vicino on the Lake Apartments & Townhomes. It means a lot to us that you're happy!
Moved in and had a list of things broken, would call and email the office and they wouldn’t respond for days regarding my disappointment. Beware of the photos they send you, more than likely your unit will not have any of the upgrades in that photo and much older appliances etc. Property is nice and would give it 5 stars if they just offered better service :(
Vicino on the lake apartment is a beautiful place to live
Awesome little community, great amenities, very friendly staff
The matience team is great, they respond quickly to issues, and do good work to repair the issues
Great place to stay I love my apartment every one in the office is very nice and good to talk to
Maintenance comes so fast that you don't have to worry about waiting weeks to get something fixed. I love the peace and quiet here as well as the safety and cleanliness.
Every time I have a work order, it gets takem care of so fast. Great!
Vicino On The Lake is a very good place to stay l love my apartment the community is clean and everyone is nice thats what I like about Vicino on the lake apartment I would recommend anyone who is looking for a place to call home.
This location would be better if the upkeep was done properly and updated for the amount of money you pay to live here. You are able to fit furniture through your door and its hard to fit your items in places
My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost 2 years now and we just renewed for another 13 months. We love the community, amenities, location, and staff. Our neighbors are all so friendly, too. Maintenance requests are completed quickly. We moved from Edwardsville, IL so I was worried coming to STL area, but I am so glad we made the choice to move to West County and live at Vicino! Definitely recommend! :)
Vicino on the lake apartment is a great place to call home me and my wife love it here and I would recommended anyone who is looking for a place to call home
The outside of the apartments are well kept up, and I enjoy the "patio" at the rear of the unit. Parking is adequate and easy to do.
Everyone in the office makes you feel like a VIP attention to every single thing you ask and so happy to be of service
I am new to this community, just moved in the beginning of September. The property is well care for and the services to the community is excellent - quickly taken care of needs when they arise. They people I have met who are residents are friendly and I look forward to activities in the future to get to know more of them. Blessings, Mary Lou Hinzpeter
Excellent staff, amenities, location & value. The lake view from my living room is wonderful. Very soothing to look out & see the water , birds, squirrels, turtles, ducks & geese that drop by to enjoy the lake
Vicino on the lake is a great place to stay I love my apartment very nice staff the place is clean Im so happy to call Vicino on the lake my home
The staff takes each request like its thier own .maintenance is always professional and with an eye for excellence this team always makes your satisfaction guarnteed
Overall I think Vicino on the Lake is a pretty cool place to live. I have met several friendly neighbors and maintenance requests are complete in a timely manner. Located is great!
Apartments are very nice, and I love the new appliances. The single bedroom Tide floorplan is the perfect size for just me and my dog. The community is also very nice. Everybody I have met has been wonderful.
A welcoming community with plenty of neighbors offering my help to move furniture in. Have had a few maintenance requests and always completed immediately and done well, maintenance staff is extremely nice!
Safe, quiet and peaceful living. Maintenance good! I feel like if a resident renews their lease, management should offer renewal with carpet cleaning, instead of throwing your name in a hat for a chance to win something. Every renewalshould be awarded something.
It is a great area with friendly staff and neighbors. Everything is going well and organized. I would definitely recommend it.
We love living at Vicino on the Lake! For the price and location, not to mention the amenities, it cant be beat!
Vicino on the lake apartment is a great place to stay me and my wife love our new home the community is nice and clean a wonderful place to stay
We love living here, its a great area with nice people and Good surroundings. Everything is well kept and organized. For this being our first time apartment here, I would definitely recommend it. Its really homey.
Ive only lived here one month but its been great. No complaints!
I really love my new home. The view of the property is nice and the layout of my home is nice. The community is so accommodating to families and different lifestyles.
Love it here
Because of the deferred maintenance at this property - I would NEVER be able to rcommend Vicino On The Lake. In the last 6 month - starting with the first day I moved in - the shower head was broken (day one) the faucet in the kitchen was leaking lot of water - the bathroom cabinets were filthy and had not been cleaned - there were children locks on cabinets left behind. None of my fire alarms worked when had smoking from cooking - except for 1 in the top floor bedroom after about 20 minute. so 5-6 of them on all floors failed. There was not C02 alarm installed. Screws on 3 of the lights were missing - and the wooden knobs on 3 of the window strings were gone. 2 of the decorative headers across two of the windows are missing (one still is) I am sure there are some other things - you can look at the history in my townhome I am a marketing professional - and I will say my customer experience is an F
Staff and maintenance are all excellent!
Vicino On The Lake is a great place to stay me and my wife love our apartment and it is nice and quiet beautiful place to call home
Maintanence is terrible they show up to look at something and never come back to fix it. The office never answers the phone to answer any questions. The new management since they’ve been bought out is awful. There is mold growing in our apartment due to poor quality design, and when I requested for them to fix it they simply came to look at it. He sprayed it with paint to cover it up and never came back to fix the problem just like every other time we’ve made a maintenance request. Parking is terrible, and mine and two of my roommates cars have been broken into as well as many other break ins across the complex. Save yourself the hassle and move anywhere else
This is my first lease and last at this place. I have only been here two months. Within that time I’ve had three 4 service calls for shower not working and hot water going out. They said it’s because of the winter but I’ve lived in this area for all my life and never had that occur anywhere else. They include a valet trash for $25 that they don’t disclose to you then say it’s on your lease even though it seems to be optional but it’s not. Even so they do not even provide you with the “valet trash service canister” that they charge you for until you call and ask to remove it. If it’s required, why isn’t it required to provide one without asking two months later? Not renewing and looking at other places to relocate even if I have to pay the early termination fees of three months required. Save yourself a headache ??
If I could fill this form out without giving any stars, I would. Unfortunately, one star is the lowest possible rating. Vicino on the Lake was terrible to us. We expected a decent apartment since the rent is so expensive here. Instead we got a broken air conditioner, broken microwave light, broken garbage disposal, leaky sink, doors that do not latch, and a shower with no water pressure. When these issues were reported, it took weeks for things to be fixed by maintenance. When the water mains broke in the street, Vicino did nothing to inform residents or help us deal with the lack of water. Another issue, the water fountain in the lake. The fountain was running when we moved in, but shortly after, it was turned off. The lake turned a disgusting green color and the fish started to die. The biggest issue we had with Vicino was lack of communication. When we asked questions, one person would give us one answer and another person would tell us something completely different. When we moved in, we were told that we could move to a different apartment within the complex without breaking our lease. When we got ready to do that, we were told that we would have to break our lease to move to a different unit. That's the first lie we encountered. We had a meeting with one of the employees to figure out our best options. Our apartment was to small, so we asked questions about breaking the lease. We were told that we would have to pay two months rent to break the lease. Even though this kind of sucks, we were willing to do it. Now that the time has come for us to officially break the lease, they told us that because we didn't break the lease with 60 days notice to the moving date, we would have to pay extra. Why was this not mentioned when we asked about the stipulations for breaking the lease in the first place? Better yet, why was it not mentioned when we asked about moving after 6 months when we first decided to move to Vicino? All in all, we have had an absolutely terrible experience with Vicino. I would not recommend this complex to my worst enemy. The staff does not care about the tenants and will lie directly to your face.
I lived at Vicino on the Lake for a year and I recently moved out. I would not recommend living here. It looks nice on the outside and they do have some decent amenities, but there are many problems within the community that management simply refuses to fix and that they'd rather create repeated excuses for instead. My biggest issue was the A/C. My apartment would hardly get below 80 degrees in the summer months despite submitting numerous maintenance requests, and this ended up costing me hundreds in my monthly electric bill. They only have 2 maintenance men who really aren’t equipped to handle larger issues. I reached out to management at least 7 times over the course of 1 month, and there was minimal effort put into addressing the issue. They claimed that I should just keep my blinds closed at all times and not utilize my balcony at all. Even with this, my apartment did not cool off at all. This is what ultimately caused me to move out. They also had a change in property managers in the last year, and it really went downhill from there. At this point, it’s very clear that resident concerns are not of importance to them. It's rare that anyone from the office will ever actually answer the phone. I can't estimate the number of times I have e-mailed the property manager regarding a concern and I never hear back, requiring me to go to the office myself to get an issue addressed only to find that no one is there. They've had such a high turnover rate of employees that it seems like I am always speaking to someone new and they're hardly ever informed on the most updated policies and procedures. Ultimately, Vicino on the Lake is a decent looking community, but it's an older property with way too many issues that cause for a very inconvenient living experience. This in addition to management's lack of concern for resident issues as well as their sloppiness prevents me from being able to recommend this property to anyone. Please find somewhere else to live and do not make the mistake of leasing here.
If you are wanting to rent out a one bedroom apartment good luck! The apartments bathrooms are so tiny a mouse can't even turn around. You have maintenance that could care less to get to your problems in an efficient manner. The place is covered with geese who are not friendly at all. The walking paths are covered with geese and dog pop. The best part of this whole place is the awful management! When trying to move in they refused for me to move in the day we had scheduled. Even though I had paid all the security fees and rent for the month. They lose important documents and then say they will evict you if you don't get a new copy faxed in a timely manner. Lastly, the parking is so awful. If you come home after 7 don't even think to get a parking spot next to your building. They will threaten to tow your car if you don't park to their standards and tell you're not the only person who lives here.
It's either unreliable satellite with AT&T or unreliable and slow Cable America. Cable America doesn't seem to have any interest in upgrading their infrastructure and Vicino doesn't want to add support for new ISPs, citing monopolistic rules.
The management is terrible- they never respond to emails or phone calls. I have to physically walk up to the office and complain and even then everything that I need has always been turned into my fault somehow. I had to threaten to get a lawyer involved to get Rania, the manager, to stop bullying me. My problems include- my heat not working in the winter (they told me there was nothing they could do so I slept in 50 degree temperatures in my bedroom), insect infestation, my electricity flipping off (they blamed my space heater, which I had to have to have heat! And then when I got rid of that and it still happened we found a bulb outside that was way too high of wattage which they blamed me for- it was there when I moved in!) and just this morning it rained and now my bedroom ceiling is leaking. I can only image what they will say to me. Do NOT LIVE HERE. Go anywhere else, I'm telling you! The lake is nice but it's dirty anyway.
Presently, I live here along with my wife, in addition to, squirrels, birds, and other varmints that have made their way into the walls and ceilings. A squirrel entered the townhouse, just to visit. A Service Request was submitted on 11/03/2015. The tech responded, "working on problem"! A Pest Control Rep finally came out to inspected exterior wall and "evaluate" removing "squatters living in walls and ceilings one 07/10/2017. Now still waiting for corporate approval! They only did this because of my letter, not to renew my contract. I wonder why! The maintenance personnel have their hands tied, and it's not their fault. There seem to be a budget "crunch"!
Everything is great besides the disgusting lake and aggressive geese. Their waste is everywhere and it seems management only is worried about the stuff on the sidewalks. Their waste is in the grass and the lake which makes the lake green and gross. There have been several dead fish on the grass by my apartment. They shouldn't advertise a beautiful lake environment if they don't work to make it remotely nice.
Lots of maintaince issues - had to request the same thing numerous times. Now the largest pool - which is salt water is closed with no warning. This was a key decision driver for me - and managements response was that they said they had a salt water pool - but just were not telling potential residents that it would not be open. The regional manager thought that this action was legitimate. Very unprofessional.
I've lived at Vicino almost a year now. I mainly moved there for the commute to work, price, and amenities. My roommate and I are in the 2 bed 1.5 bath town home. We enjoy the spacious living area and bedrooms. There is plenty of closet space upstairs but not enough storage overall for the entire home. For how big the home itself is the kitchen is really small. The drawers are narrow and there is no pantry. The kitchens could definitely be reconfigured and cabinets could use an update. Also there is no washer and dryer, which is fine, but there is so much space that could be utilized for more important things, such as an area for a washer/dryer. In the winter the upstairs is freezing and in the summer it gets unbearably hot. Obviously it is known that homes that have 2 levels tend to be warmer upstairs, but it just seems like the air flow overall is not good. Maintenance does a decent job about responding to requests, and the staff is friendly. Its a pretty quite neighborhood although noise is to be expected in an apartment community. We rarely hear our neighbors. I enjoy fishing the lake, it i stocked with fish and they're always biting! The pool is nice in the summer as well. I have a dog and have had a few incidents where he was attacked by dogs off their leash. This doesn't necessarily reflect the management as they strictly enforce their leash laws, but more so reflects the tenants. People are not the brightest in general, so if you have a dog I suggest carrying something with you when walking it (big stick), in case it were to get attacked. Overall this wasn't a bad place for my first apartment, although I can say I will not be renewing my lease. I feel there are much better options out there for living, and if you do choose this community I suggest getting the upgraded unit always.
This place is advertised as "luxury" and is far from it! The best thing about the place is the clubhouse which is clearly for employees. First, the grounds keepers who they clearly higher as cheap laborers are sketchy and hit on the women making things feel unsafe. Things take forever to get done. The fence around the lake had hazard tape for over a year and when it was finally fixed it took over 4 months. The gym is frequently FILTHY! And please don't ask the managers to do a little extra work because they will turn their noses up. There is nothing updated about the kitchens or bathrooms. They are clearly capitalizing on the fact that the location is in Creve Coeur and has a lake. This place needs to be shut down. Don't be fooled by the pictures. The staff is lazy and subpar good luck getting things done
The Property had everything we were looking for; space, w/d, indoor pool, gas stoves (select apts),walkin closets. Brittany was very pleasant and helpful on the phone. Jessica showed us the places she has a lot of energy. She is knowledgeable about the property. There are multiple floor plans to choose from so choosing was a little hard. The accent wall is also a plus.
I love the water and that is what drew me to Vicino on the Lake (formally Edgewater Court). I have been here for 5 years and have seen such positive difference under our new management team led by Rania our Community Manager. The peace and serenity that comes with living on the lake is what is important to me. Here is just one example, the management team just recently held a week long celebration for Halloween starting with from treating residents to free pizza and beer at a local sports bar to a decorating contest, an outdoor movie and staff standing in the rain one morning passing out free breakfast to residents leaving to go to work. Thank you for all you do!
