Located at the intersection of Interstates 57, 72, and 74 in east central Illinois, Champaign deftly skirts the line between small town and college town. The University of Illinois largely defines the city, with nearly 45,000 students enrolled (the city’s population totals around 85,000); as a result, Champaign is home to a growing sector of tech startups and other entrepreneurial endeavors growing out of the university’s research community and recent graduates.
The rental market includes a number of highly affordable options, including many apartments under $600 per month. Expect your schedule to be packed with community events when you live in Champaign, from the popular and wide-ranging Boneyard arts festival to the Sweetcorn Festival in neighboring Urbana. As the hometown of late movie critic Roger Ebert, Champaign’s historic Virginia Theatre hosts an annual film festival in his honor.

Property Ratings at Victoria Point
All the management care is The Refinery Events and Gym, the tenants are never considered. Heads up, the gym sucks! The equipment is too old and poorly maintained! As soon the lockdown was over last year, the owner fired all the staff and hired all new (so that she could pay a lower rate, staff that had been with her for over 5 years! ) Not enough parking for Refinery Building tenants! 22 units and only 8 parking spots. Everything else is reserved for Refinery Gym and Events! Management keeps sending threats to tow our cars. Where are we supposed to park?! Requested a new dryer when I moved in 3 years ago, never got it, and the dryer still does not properly work, I got tired of requesting maintenance. This has been a constant battle for the past 5 years! The tenants are always put aside to the benefits of the Refinery Gym and events, and we don't even have a free gym pass! And don’t be fooled by the 5-star reviews…. These reviews were requested by CPM employers when they are closed to their contract review….
I love this apartment, complex at (2302 w. John St. )and the staff member (Katie) is fantastic. Katie took extra care of me as an applicant, and helped me tremendously with move-in questions. The downstairs Gym and the appliances are top notch and I have more storage space than other apartments twice the size, and the heating and air conditioning is such a blessing for someone like me who is used to living on the West Coast. Thanks, for keeping the complex and everyone there safe and comfortable.
