Property Ratings at Victorian Village Apartments
This is not a great place to live. The property manager is rude, and they will randomly come into your apartment. They have let my cat out three times without notifying me or even taking care to make sure he wouldn't get out. I was not even aware they were entering my apartment, or I would have secured him in the bathroom or something. If you need something fixed expect to ask more than once and wait least a year or more before they fix it. I asked for three years for my refrigerator to be fixed and they lied and said they ordered motor that was blamed on me for buying food and never was replaced. So, without warning or my knowledge they randomly entered my apartment and gave me another refrigerator four years later and it still makes notice in a studio apartment. Anytime they have come in and repaired something I knew about they would leave a mess for me to clean up when I got home. Save yourself the trouble and money and go live somewhere else that will actually care about your living space.
Recently moved in from New York and the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. The apartment is lovely and exactly what I needed and was looking for. The apartment is within walking distance to the Marietta square and many restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend
Close to everything. Walking distance to Marietta Square and CVS. You can order packages from Amazon and go out of town and when you return your package will still be on your doorstep. Safe. Convenient. ~Unit 16
There are two key selling points to living at Victorian Village: price and location. You won’t be able to beat the rent within a five-minute walk to the Marietta Square and a five-minute drive to Kennesaw State University Marietta Campus. Luckily, they are pet friendly with a park right down the street. Overall, the complex is quite peaceful, and has an interesting historic background. Being a historic building does have some disadvantages, however. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything your neighbor has to say (they can hear you too). With wood floors above, it can sound like a marching band is making its way through the building at times. Most of the neighbors are courteous enough to respect their noise level, but I have had to get management involved before. The office is at another location about ten-minutes away, which can be inconvenient when moving in. However, once you get settled in, it’s not a big deal. Management is always very responsive and helpful. Maintenance can be slow, but again, they are coming from another location across town. I haven’t had any issues with bugs, besides the occasional spider here and there. I’ve seen a sneak peek at some of the renovations taking place, and from what I can tell, they are very nice and bring the old place back to life again. The only way to really experience Victorian Village is to visit and enjoy the good vibes it presents. It’s so quiet and peaceful in such a loud and busy town.
Honestly one of the safest neighborhoods to live in. Even though it's a complex, it doesn't feel crowded like most. Lots of room for parking. Landscaping is maintained. Reasonable price. AND you can walk to Starbucks and the Marietta Square. If you're looking for somewhere unique, this is the spot.
Have lived here for over a year and it is a charming apartment in a historical home. Neighbors are friendly and it is within walking distance to Marietta Square. Reasonably priced, as well!
I never thought I would find an apartment that had everything I love: old wooden floors, fireplace, mantle... but I stumbled upon Victorian Village. I’ve just fallen in love with the charm of my apartment, and you can’t get a better small town artsy place than Marietta. Perfect location for walking downtown for a drink. Love the staff too!
Due to professional reasons, I will be moving out within the next few months. The thought of leaving Victorian makes me emotional, as Victorian has made this place home. I've appreciated living here for many reasons within the past year. First of all, my unit has breathtaking character: 12 foot ceilings, decorative chandeliers, a beautiful unexpected location for my bathtub, an old-fashioned staircase up to my unit and two spacious balconies for me to enjoy. Visiting my neighbor’s apartments, I can tell you they are all differently characterized in the best way possible. No cookie cutter layouts here! A little imagination can turn this place into a bohemian palace. Friends and family I would have over would be in complete admiration over the place. I loved telling them the history, as this place dates back to the 1850’s and was an important part of history in Marietta and the Civil War! Secondly, there are many activities to explore at the square and all within walking distance (about a 7 minute healthy walk). This includes live music (You MUST check out the live music on the terrace every Friday and Saturday night at The Strand Theater or The Lumiere Lounge Piano bar), restaurants (Marietta Pizza!!!), bars (Two Birds and McCracken’s Irish Pub), antique shops, museums, library, theater, parks, and soon to be a brewery and food hall (I am so mad I am not living here while this is all happening!). I have enjoyed my Saturday and Sunday mornings walking or biking to the local farmer’s and artisan’s market. There is a creative natural energy that surrounds this residence that you will not find anywhere else, from the tall Walnut tree to the humming birds that swiftly sail by outside my approximate 9ft windows. SO much beautiful natural light. Thirdly, the buildings are full of artsy, intellectual individuals of which I've made great lifelong friendships with. They have inspired me. Lastly, the staff is helpful and accommodating. Any time I have had an issue, Lali at the office has always had someone come by and take care of the situation in a timely, professional manner, even when I have not had the time to physically be at my unit. The staff even delivers thoughtful gifts from time to time. I was surprised to find a cupcake delivered at my door on Valentine’s day. Victorian is a bit secluded from the chaos of the busy street and I was lucky to find this hidden gem. I hope one day, that because I found it, that It will one day find me living here again.
Roaches, spiders, mold, no laundry, no pool, no gym, TERRIBLE management, astronomically overpriced and zero attempts at correcting any of this. I literally had no dishwasher for four months because their LAZY management took their sweet time sending anyone out to replace the ancient one that broke, when they did they installed an already broken machine and I couldn’t get anyone to replace it. I had to caulk any and every crack in the wall as a last resort because they wouldn’t do anything about the complete INFESTATION of roaches. It was the worst experience of my life living here, avoid like the plague.
Overpriced. Great location. 1846 quality construction. Train hourly. NEARBY. Owners remove negative reviews. Mgmt not on site. Washer and dryer in kitchen. Asking high end rent for average luxury. Not terrible. Just not worth asking price. If being near the square is all that matters go for it. You can dwell in an average apt. near average restaurants with 8 dollar beers. The square is vastly overrated IMHO. No mgmt or security onsite. Pest control is an issue. They are capitalizing on location only without providing services to match the price being asked. Floorplans odd and thrown together. Wouldn't pass muster with current building codes. Stop in and chill by mailbox. Get opinions of current renters. You won't like what you hear. To be fair, rodents CAN be trained and make good pets. No extra deposit for trained rodents. Walk to square, no DUI. Just do your due diligence. GREAT DEAL if your whole existence revolves around being near the square. In a month you'll be over it. Leasing agent arrives on skateboard. Enough said.
I would not ever consider moving into the Trammell House especially Apt 1 there is a mold problem in the apartment and the closet in the bathroom stays moldey!! The appliances are for an efficiency apartment and the Refrigerator is in the living room. This house is not taken care of there are safety issues inside and out of the Trammell House !! Do yourself a favor it is overpriced and overrated for what you get !!
