Regarded as the Horse Capital of the World, Lexington is home to a number of horse farms and all kinds of equestrian events. The second largest city in Kentucky, Lexington maintains a small-town feel and progressive atmosphere thanks to an involved community and the presence of three colleges — the University of Kentucky, Transylvania University, and Bluegrass Community and Technical College.
There is something for everyone in Lexington. Sports fans enjoy the horse races at the Red Mile and Wildcats basketball games at Rupp Arena. Outdoor enthusiasts delight in the city’s thriving cycling community, as well as hiking the many trails in and near Lexington. History buffs relish access to the Mary Todd Lincoln House and Ashland: the Henry Clay Estate. Art lovers savor the plentiful art galleries, including Lexington Art League, Institute 193, and the Lyric Theatre and Cultural Center. Shoppers appreciate having the largest mall in Kentucky, Fayette Mall.

Property Ratings at Victory Point Apartments & Townhomes
I had called to schedule a tour. The person who answered the second time( my initial call I was hung up on), made it quite clear that these properties were for veterans ONLY. The listing here on Apartments.com seems misplaced , or at least it should be added to a filter option & not included in general listings
Detailed Review - July 2020 If you aren’t familiar with low income housing, the application process can be very invasive. They will take a deep dive into all your sources of income to verify you are under the income threshold and require additional paperwork depending on your circumstances. That same process will have to be repeated if you plan to renew your lease after one year. Once all the paperwork is turned in, the approval process itself can take weeks—something to keep in mind if you are on a tight schedule/deadline. Moreover, if you plan to switch jobs during the duration of your stay, you will need to make sure your household income is still below the threshold at all times. The complex offers newly renovated, modern-styled, attached townhomes and townhomes which have just been built in 2020. There aren’t many amenities beyond the home itself—no gym, pool, clubhouse, etc. The property owning company does own multiple properties in Lexington and leasing agents work out of a different complex meaning there is no designated leasing office on site. The complex is located on the VA’s property which is quiet, a short walking distance to Leestown BCTC, and only a 10 minute drive to downtown/UK campus. There is a LexTran bus stop close by (Route 12). No pets allowed; this was surprising to me since many veterans do find companionship in a dog, cat, etc.
