Property Ratings at View Point Terrace
I have been here for 2 years, and I have been happy and am willing to stay for as long as I want or need. Given the price compared to the rest, it is great bang for your buck. PROS: - Amazing location. Right on the green but dont hear the hustle and bustle of it since you are oh hill by park. Can walk around town very easily - Water, heat, and garbage are covered. Pay for parking, internet/cable, and electric ( which is cheap) - Cute space. Was lucky to get newly renovated space, so have nice finishes and stainless steel appliances - Shared laundry space, which is somewhat hard to find in Morristown for this price. Never really busy either (maybe I pick the right days?) CONS: - Some work in apartment brings down quality (squeaky vinyl flooring in kitchen , slightly raised carpet nails, visible caulk, chipped ceiling) but I fixed some of that myself. - Walls are thin. You will hear neighbor above walking on their squeaky floor and hear the occasional party next door on certain weekends. - Laundry. Costs money and are smaller, older machines. Can't wash a lot at once. Also, laundry card machine weirdly only takes 10 dollar bills, so stock up! - Not much natural light if your are on side with woods. Get some light in the late afternoon so you need to rely on artificial lighting. OTHER: - Neighbors are mix from 20s to 70s, families and singles. Everyone keeps relatively to themselves with an occasional hi in the hallway/dumpster, which I prefer. Apparently some complain if you are a bad, direspectful neighbor, which is normal. - Manager is kind and lax unless there is a complaint from neightbor, then he has to act. I'm not one to talk and report anything wrong with issues in my apartment or neighbors, so not sure about responsiveness. I assume he'd would be great if you keep on him - Hill up to apartment is steep! The walk up is a workout - Parking lot is plowed when it snows. Manager and landlord have personal plows on their trucks. Sometimes they dont plow until after 9am because they go to multiple locations. Not bad, just if you have to get out early it could be an issue. Can park in local garages for free to avoid needing to shovel around your car. Overall, my pros definitely out weigh the cons given the price and location. I am willing to stay as long as I need given I love Morristown. Only reasons I may leave is for a nicer complex which in turn will be more $.

The you so much for taking the time to provide this information regarding your residential experience at our View Point Terrace community! Morristown has become a residential destination and our Court Street location complete with city views can’t be beat! Salem Management Company owns and operates 4 residential communities in Morristown. We are dedicated to creating and maintaining apartment homes with spacious layouts and renovated interiors at market rate affordability. We value your feedback and your tenancy and hope that you will continue leasing with us for many more years to come!
The location is very deceiving, as it is in the middle of busy Morristown, but it is situated at the top of a hill. This translates to being right in the hustle and bustle of this mini Hoboken, but still a very quiet area to come home to! Parking is tight, but your parking permit guarantees you have a spot at the end of the day. The building itself is old, but the apartment units have been modernized, and any needs for a maintenance order are quickly handled. The only lingering issue with an older building is that it is a little easier to overload a power circuit. So if you want to run your hair dryer or a space heater, etc., you need to be conscious of what appliances you're currently using and shut them off so you don't trip the breaker. Only been living here six months but have enjoyed it so far, and if you can deal with not having pool access, this place is one of the most reasonably priced apartment buildings in Morristown.
