Outer Red Bank is situated on the west side of Highway 27 just north of Mountain Creek just outside the heart of Red Bank, one of Chattanooga’s most popular neighborhoods. You’ll find amazing homes bursting with character and apartment communities with plenty of amenities and views of the mountains just six miles outside Downtown Chattanooga. This section of Red Bank remains more affordable than that which is closer to the city, but residents of Outer Red Bank are still close to all the conveniences and amenities. There’s an amazing array of restaurants along Dayton Boulevard, including bakeries, Italian eateries, barbecue spots, and coffee shops. Downtown Chattanooga is barely a 20-minute drive south, making Outer Red Bank great for families or anyone looking for an attractive rental just outside the city.

Property Ratings at Views at Signal Mountain
I’ll never tell someone don’t move somewhere because that might be the only place you can go. For me that was the case and I regret not going to live on UTC campus, or moving out of town to stay with relatives, or even sleeping in my car would have been better than the hassle I’ve dealt with. This summer it was over 100 degrees multiple days -my air was broken almost all summer, I almost died in my apartment because it was so hot, I was rushed to an urgent care it was that bad. During the winter my heat/ gas malfunctioned I was evacuated from my house for hours in the cold, that was in 2021 I think…. It’s 11/4/2022 and they are just replacing my furnace. All repairs are being done now that I’ve stated I’m moving out. This is not the place to be and people running this should be personally ashamed of themselves. Right is right and wrong is wrong. If you have a choice do not move here!
If you pay attention to the dates on the reviews you will see that all the 5 star ratings came in within days of each other. This is a good sign the apartments wrote them. This place is horrible, black mold, no service and the management does not care at all. They claim they try to keep the place up, I have pictures of broke down cars that have been onsite site for 6 months. I also have pictures of black mold they tried to say did not exist. I heard ( from management) that if an apartment floods, they will not go into the apartments around it to check for water damage, this can leave wet carpet and mold for days of even weeks if someone is on vacation.
I’ve never had an issue living here. I just hit my one year. It’s always quiet and safe. If you have a maintenance issue, it’s handled fast. Staff is also extremely helpful and friendly!
I moved here only three short months ago and I’ve loved it! The property is absolutely beautiful and the units are very nice. Josh the maintenance guy is super helpful and great and communication when he’s needed and Brittany in the front office is always happy to answer any questions I have. I was worried the management change would change the quality of the complex but so far so good!!
We really appreciate the dog friendly atmosphere and that there’s tons of green space in and around the complex. It’s generally a quiet area except for sounds from the Friday night HS football games, which we don’t mind! Maintenance is usually timely and the office staff is always friendly and helpful.
The area is very safe and conveniently located to major parts of Chattanooga. Staff is nice and maintenance is timely and kind. Small dog play area is very nice. Many residents do not clean up after their pets in the common play area, however, so while the grounds are not trashy, they are definitely not clean. All apartments have very old creaky windows that need updating. Bathrooms are very tiny and could use remodeling. Overall, a decent and cute place to rent from. I’m enjoying my lease here so far.
This is a nice place to live. The staff is excellent and they get things fixed in a timely manner. The staff is also very nice and so sweet!
We just moved here about five months ago and it’s gorgeous here. The lawns are maintained and are pet friendly. Our unit is nice and a good space for our family of four. Brittany and Lorie are so incredibly kind and helpful. Whenever we’ve had any sort of manaitance request they are prompt to fix it. My son enjoys having huge areas to play in and we love taking walks around our building.
Things I have enjoyed since moving here include: The covered carport, the gas stove, gas heater, gas water heater, the big open space for the kids and friends to play, responsive staff and incredibly helpful maintenance ppl, the separation of space in the townhouse, set water bill included in rent, and an abundance of friendly ppl with adorable dogs to pet!!!
I have lived here for about 2 months, and I had a good experience with Brittany the manager. My apartment was not at all move in ready and required a lot of work because of how gross the previous people were, but they did a lot of work to make it right. They replaced my blinds, cleaned, replaced my kitchen cabinets, and cleaned my carpet. They are still working on some other things, but they are willing to take care of any problems you might have. It’s also a safe part of town.
The Views is a wonderful place to live. It feels like a quiet cozy neighborhood away from all of the hustle and bustle even though everything you need from grocery stores, restaurants, malls, and hospitals is right around the corner. I also love that there is covered parking for my car. The office staff and maintenance are very friendly and helpful too. I totally recommend living here.
I’ve been here for two years it’s super close to downtown. The rents really reasonable and Brittanys great. I wish the apartments were bigger but you get what you pay for.
The property was taken over by Brookside Properties last year. They immediately raised the rent $100, did "renovations" on the apartments: new counter tops, new ceiling fans, enormous sink vanity in bathrooms the size of a closet, huge kitchen appliances that crowd an already miniscule galley kitchen, dishwasher that doesn't dry the dishes . . . These are just cosmetic things. What they should have done was replace ALL the windows. Everything else was just fine. These buildings were built long ago as low income housing. They need structural repair, not cosmetic. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. The new management is not plesant either and will go out of their way to get your last nickel. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. It's the WORST!!!!
We lived here for less than a year before the current property management took over. They started renovating every apartment immediately, yes, even the ones currently occupied. They completely upended everyone's schedules, because we had to be there to empty out fridges (our food sat out for hours) and remove everything from the countertops. Our AC has gone out at least 3 times, and this most recent issue was my favorite. We waited 24 hours before following up with them, they informed us that maintenance was busy turning apartments. We would have to wait. Meanwhile we're sweating in our home. They're asking way more than these apartments are worth. The dog park is a tiny, partially paved lot. Just keep looking.
I am so sick and tired of the new poor property management! Like it's not that hard to properly inform your renters. When I first moved into this place everything was ok. Not the best but ok. The new management took over two months ago. In that time, they have come into my apartment twice for renovations on the wrong days. The first, I woke up to people I did not know in my kitchen that did not speak english, using power tools at 8am! Their manager came over saying "well we knocked" while my bedroom is on the other side of the apartment. The second I came home in the middle of the day to my dogs barking and some random guy in my house two days early! They only take rent online and charge an extra $20 to do so. The maintenance requests are online but I put mine in twice and in two weeks no one came until I went and complained to the office. Now they have reassigned parking without letting us know, telling the new renters to threaten to tow my cars if I don't move them at 9 o'clock at night! If you want to change stuff around, that's fine but tell the people that it affects! I can't wait to leave.
New management is a nightmare. No customer service skills whatsoever. They came in to do renovations while all the buildings were occupied. Took an entire day and they left it a mess. The rooms are entirely to small. Second bedroom does not even hold a child's bed with dresser. Been here for at least 6 1/2 years and will not be staying! Over priced!!!!!!!
We lived happily at these apartments for several years...no problems whatsoever until the complex was bought and new staff moved in. The staff is unprofessional and very unhelpful. The rents WERE reasonable before but not now. The second "bedroom" is more like a closet. You might fit a toddler bed in it if you're lucky. Fine unless you really want to use it for a bedroom. Again, the old staff was excellent and always helpful. The new management is absolutely terrible.
This place is the absolute worst apartment complex I've ever dealt with, and I've moved several times in the past few years. They have double standards when it comes to dogs allowed on the premises. They write citations for BARELY parking incorrectly. They don't keep the pool very clean. The property manager is by far the worst person to deal with on a monthly basis. She always has an attitude and something snarky to say if things aren't going her way. Please just avoid this place and the people who work there. They're just awful. If I could give a lower rating, I would.
Perfect apartment home off the beaten path yet close to expressways and just 10 minutes to Chattanooga's North Shore. Inviting landscaped common areas are clean and staff is very friendly. Maintence is a priority. Picnic tables, grills and a sparlking clean pool with lounge chairs and rest rooms. Quiet park like and pet friendly community.
I live in the garden style apartment on the second floor. The one that I moved into was newly renovated and included a washer/dryer stacked combo. I have truly enjoyed living here. The Kitchen is a good side for a small family or single person with a roommate. I have a 3 months old son and the 2nd bedroom is the perfect size for his nursery furniture. It used to hold a twin sized day bed. I don't think a bigger bed would fit in there with a dresser as well. The master bedroom holds my full size dresser, one nightstand and a queen sized bed, but the 2nd nightstand wouldn't fit. Keep in mind however, I have my great-grandmother's furniture so it is heavy, bulky and solid. The garden style apartments have a dining room space that I think makes a huge difference as opposed to the townhouse style that doesn't have that space. Another tidbit of info, the bathroom is very small. There is a space for a laundry hamper, but no linen area. There is a small cabinet under the sink that we store the extra toilet paper in. The only place to put towels is a shelving unit that goes over the toilet and we got an over-the-door hanger as well. The bath tub isn't big, but it was big enough for me to bathe in while I was pregnant. The closets aren't huge, but they are a great size. The extra closet in the living room makes a huge difference. I don't think a sectional couch would fit in the living room, but our smaller couch fits perfectly on the wall that separates the living room from the kitchen. They only have Comcast cable, which is kind of a bummer since EPB is SO MUCH BETTER. Our water is included in the rent which was great and in the renovated building we didn't need gas, everything is electric. We moved in fall 2014 and rent was $750. One thing that blew me away about the complex was how well they listen to the needs of the residents. Since I live in the upstairs apartment, there is a staircase that goes from the covered parking area up. At night the staircase would get rather dark and I was pregnant and had a hard time seeing. They come out that week and installed a solar powered light at the top of the staircase for me! I was so thankful that they really listened to my concern and fix it. We will be moving when the lease is up, but its simply because we will outgrow it here. This was the perfect home to bring my son to and will always hold a special place in our hearts!
