I have lived here for 5 years now, and just prior to my lease coming up for renewal, the Owners finally did something right and Hired Jamie as the Property Manager. He is the first Manager in 5 years to show he actually cares about the Property and More So he cares about the residents. This guy has been seen picking up trash day and night, walking the property replacing light bulbs and even picking up dog poop. I had an emergency on a Saturday late night and when maintenance didn't come to my repeated calls, Who showed up? The property manager. I was so shocked and impressed that a manager would come out to try to make it better, I immediately called off my new apartment search and signed another years lease! This guy was amazing!!! It still makes me annoyed that the person I have has to deal with since the disaster of hurricane Ida, that calls herself the 'assistant manager" is still in the here, and every time I call the office, she seems to answer the phone in her snarky tone, and is so rude everything I call, but as long as Jamie's still in charge, I know things will get done. I have heard that renovations will be starting again and can't wait to see the new improvements that will be done to the interior of the apartments, and plan to put my name on the list to move into one when they are ready!

Don’t be fooled by the polished exterior - this place is no good. In the five years I’ve been here it’s been sold three separate times. If you move in here you will hear every move your neighbor makes. You will never be able to use any of the “fancy” facilities like the pool, gym, or business center because they’re always closed or broken. Management is rude (except for Amber) and even though maintenance is usually pretty fast, things break so often you’ll be calling them every week. My A/C was constantly on the fritz, and after four years they finally took it apart. It nearly caught fire and they realized that it had been wired wrong since I moved in. They also don’t care about your privacy and will try to walk into your apartment without giving notice if they think you’re not there. It’s not just management that’s a problem. This used to be a quiet place, but within the past two years my neighbors have made life here unbearable. Dogs bark all the time, their owners won’t pick up their poop, fire alarms go off at least once a week, there’s always broken glass in the parking lot or walkways, children scream day and night, people blast their stereos all the time, and people are constantly smoking cigarettes and weed. All of the long-term tenants like myself are leaving. Most other tenants only stay a year and are then evicted. It also has a massive roach problem and rats infest all of the first-floor apartments. The view of the lake is lovely, but the noise from the interstate is unbearable. Don’t sell your sanity just for a pretty view! Don’t move here!

Apartments need renovations. Buildings are dirty. Amenities usually closed. Management is horrible.

Do not let the view fool you. The management sucks. The turn around for maintenance is awful. Inside of Apartments need renovations. Outside of the building are always dirty, a BUILD UP of bugs and spiders right out side of your front door. I’ve lived here for 2 years and the buildings were pressure washed once and that was after I had to ask the leasing office a million times. Ceilings have water leaks if you live on 3rd floor. I suggest going to neighbor company Harborside. Save your buck and do not move here I’m only giving this place two stars because of the water view which is beautiful

I have been living at Villa du lac going on 2 years and absolutely love it here. The apartments are well kept and modern. The property is beautiful and has THE BEST views in Slidell! The only thing I dislike is there is no assigned parking but other than that I have no complaints. Yes you hear people and yes sometimes it will take maintenance a day to get to you but it's a huge complex and that is apartment living. If you don't like noise and/or ppl than rent a house.
-The pool table has no pool cues -The hot tub is no warmer than the pool, nor do the jets work -The only restroom near the pool is marked "staff only" and is locked after hours -The "business center" which I often use to print documents only has one slow computer and a printer that often runs out of ink. (And residents are required to supply their own paper) They only put in the second computer to take the picture shown here. -There is no Wi-Fi at the pool or clubhouse -The fishing pier is permanently blocked off -The elliptical in the exercise room is broken -Pest control only comes around once every 4 months, and the "exterior power washing" we were told would happen still has not occured Apartments are nice, but if you are looking forward to a certain feature, make sure you verify it before moving in.

We sincerely apologize for anything you may be unhappy with. However, the new pool cues arrived Monday, I know it has been a while but they are here! YAY! You are more than welcome to come by and use them whenever you would like. Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the clubhouse area and fitness center, please see the rental office for the access code. Unfortunately, the hot tub has never been heated as it is a spa tub but we will be sure to get the jets back up and running. Please let the rental office know if you are experiencing Pest Control issues as apart from them spraying every 3 months, they are onsite every Friday to handle any issues that may come about in the mean while. We hope that we can solve any problems you may be having and make your stay here as enjoyable as we can. Please stop by the rental office and we will be more than happy to help with anything!
I moved to Villa du Lac in January of 2014. Amanda was the on-site manager, and fortunately she is today! She and her staff are wonderful!!!! They are professional, efficient and friendly! Yesterday, I signed my third lease renewal for another 13 months. I left the leasing office feeling good about my decision. Then I went home -- not to just an apartment, but to my "home" at Villa du Lac -- to my pets, my fantasic water veiw, bird and nature watching off my balcony -- and many smiles! This is my oasis and sanctuary away from a very complicated and busy world!
Just moved in Oct 15/2015 great place to live the property is safe and we'll lighted the maintenance staff dose a really good job keeping the place clean and the landscaping is always well maintained haven't really meet the entire office staff as of yet but Brice...is the assistant manager and he dose a very good job with addressing residents needs.
The management firm recently brought back a former on-site manager. She is MUCH better than the immediately previous manager. The maintenance staff is GREAT! They get things fixed quickly. We have lived here for over 7 year, and will probably stay longer. It is convenient to New Orleans, right on Lake Pontchartrain. The grounds are maintained nicely, although some pine bark around the bushes to cover the dirt would be nice. In reality, it is probably the best apartment complex in the Slidell area.
This is a very nice, clean and peaceful complex to live. I like living here. The only downfalls that I see is that every time my 6 month lease comes up they raise my rent. If I do not comply with the new price, they charge me an additional 300 dollars more per month to stay there until I renew the contract. My rent has went up 100 per month in the 2 years I have been here. It has just increased again. I only live in a one bedroom apt. Unfortunately I have to move which means raising money for another deposit and one months rent. Apts complexes want a contract which I understand but as a Tenant. But what about locking us into a price that allows us to live on the budget we have to deal with than increasing our rent so high every term.
Quiet and safe place to live. Been here for a few years now and any issues are handled in a timely manner. Some children, but not many if you are looking for a quieter living environment. Nice small docks to fish from and the pool is pretty well maintained. Overall, the apartments are in good condition and well kept. Maintenance staff is friendly and willing to help out with most any situation. Would recommend to others.
