Property Ratings at Villa Marina Apartments
Property is basically a roof over your head, don't expect much, poor communication from management, and multiple unresolved issues with the apartment, then again, what did I expect with a kitchen that's more than 30 years old...
Great location and good remodeled apartments good for a first start.
Its is a beautiful environment inside put all around great people in the community and the apartments are beautiful very comfortable to live in best apartments I've lived in so far.very well taken care of landscaping always looks good ...the staff in the office are very helpful and polite help and communicate well
I have lived at villa marina for years. I have always felt welcome with management and the turn around time for get things fixed has been quick. The staff obviously care about the tenants as well as the apt complex.
Great office staff Cleanliness of property I feel safe in this community Have your own assigned space for parking Rent amount is appropriate for my 2 bedroom Great communication with office staff. I do wish there was a dog park.
Called the even before everything was taken care of. Very satisfied with the service.
Everyone is really friendly and any maintenance work we have requested has been attended to promptly.
As a whole the apartment community served its purpose. The proximity to the train tracks was not ideal; I didn't expect the passing trains to be so loud especially at night.
Great office staff (celina) good maintenance (fernando) and the cleaning lady that is on property , cleaning the laundry rooms & cleaning the property from trash does a good job. I wish she was here on the weekends.
There are too many limitations within the complex that do not accommodate busy schedules. The rent is too high considering a train is blaring through your door and planes flying overhead daily
Everything from the location to the general maintenance of the apartments is exceptional
The amount I pay in rent is ridiculous for cabinets that are 10+ years old and falling apart as well as living with upstrairs neighbors who stomp, and let their children run all night/day. Adding a separate utilities bill on top of the amount we already pay for rent is ridiculous as well.
The biggest and most helpful thing for me were the office personnel. They exhibited great interpersonal skills!
I would recomend the apartment community BUT we do have some mold because I have had to throw away good shoes because of mold.
Place is falling apart, everything is outdated, the laundry facility is always full with one single family's clothes, no washer/dryer hookups, no air conditioning, and there's always some guy soliciting around the place with LOUD bells that consistently wake my baby up every night. Nothing but problems for too much money.
I took a survey months ago and everything seemed good except,my kitchen & bathroom cabinets are peeling. Look really bad / cheap. I was told by the manager that she would take a look at them and maybe get them changed?? I hope they can change the doors out because the worker peeled off the lamination color of the door, it looks bad.cabinet doors look cheap , peeling, and you want to raise the rent?? Fix my cabinet doors please!! Going on 4 years would be nice to get carpet changed.
It is a great place to live. The only inconvenience is that there are not visitors parking which we can adjust. The pool is great!
I recommend this apartment complex to multiple people people. It's peaceful, everyone is nice, and it's a beautiful place to live.
Overall, the quality and standards of these apartments don't meet up to the prices paid from my point of view.
I personally do not like the apartment anymore or the community, especially for the rodent problem that can only be solved with glue traps.
I love the community. I suck thru world change the kids park area to a dog area. No kids use it. Great place for a dog to play.
It was very easy to move in. The process was not complicated at all. Everything was made clear and I love that I can pay rent online.
There's alot of residents who are nasty and rude, but that has nothing to do with the quality of maintenance which is superb. Also, the homeless rifle through the trash and that is absolutely unacceptable.
I had mice for 6 months of my twelve month lease I caught 27 mice and didn't have a functional kitchen for that time frame. It was disgusting and a horrific experience.
First of all when i moved in i didnt get a walk thru my apt. The apt was in bad conditions. Dirty. Alot of details around the apt i was very unsatisfied for an apt ready for move in. I had no choice but to move in. Its always a hard time to get a hold of sumone in that office.
Whatever u do please do not live here, the rent goes up every year and I pay a ridiculous high water bill while the people with kids pay a low bill. The maintenance Crew suck and was not qualified to fix anything. These people walk in your house without even notifying you at all I had surveillance cameras in my house and caught the workers looking three my stuff so please leave from there now. If you don't your rent will skyrocket and you will be miserable trust me leave now.
I don't know anyone that would want to live in an apartment that dose not have A/C and you can't wash your clothes when every you would like to
It's to hot in the apartments, theirs roaches al the time even if you get it fummigated. And it's rude how they will turn the water off without any notice to the residents.
what you expect from the model apartment is nothing you get. The rugs are dirty and coming apart, the cabinets are falling apart and there have been roaches since I moved. Its decrease because of our intervention on the situation at hand.
The maintenance is done in a late manner and the requests has to be persitent such as the problems that arise constantly.
I have lived here for 4 months now, Since August 2016 The units are old..they were built in the 70's The modal apartment looks nice....BUT...You won't be living in the model apartment soo going to an open house won't matter... ASK to see YOUR unit before you sign the lease. Here are a couple of things that I've been dealing with since moving in. FLEAS: The first week I stayed in the apartment, I got really bad flea bites on my feet, ankles, and legs. When I was told the "previous owner never had a pet" The majority of people that live in the neighborhood have pets, so maybe thats why. ROACHES: They also have roaches,I have killed a total of 15 roaches since I have been here.... The day I moved in there were 3 roaches in the kitchen sink. The next week I had to spray 4 behind the fridge and oven, 2 in the cabinets, 2 tiny baby roaches were in the bathroom near the tub. I found 2 in the linen closet on the cabinet door and 2 in the living room by the sliding door. MICE: There are also field mice, I notices little chewed up holes in my shirts and a couple of my summer dresses, I seen a mouse in the living room area but he ran away when I turned on the light. I later found a dead mouse in the corner of my living room, and had to call the rental office to come get it. MOLD: I am currently dealing with damp carpet and mold in the bedroom, I called the rental office at 9am to tell them I suspect mold and they didn't send someone out until 5pm, I took them 8 hours!!! And the people that come where not even mold specialist, They're a carpet cleaning company that Ive never heard of. The kept telling me its not mold and not to worry but other guy that they sent said it is mold but its "Not That Bad, He has seen worse".... mold is mold. I took a sample of the mold to the department of health and they directed me to a lab where I can get it tested. They confirmed that it is indeed "Black Mold" which is toxic. "California law allows renters to move out of their rental unit if it is "defective." Since mold breaches the implied warranty of habitability, rendering your unit, in the words of Consumer Affairs, "substandard" and a threat to your "health and safety," it qualifies. "
Very well located. Grounds are well kept.
If they enforce all their rules I will be glad to say to anyone to come and live here.
Jacuzzi hours would be nice if were later and laundry hours as well I work 10 hrs a day and have kids so it is hard to coordinate ...maybe like 10pm
The stray cats, the mice, the increase of people not picking up after their pets is just not worth the hassle.
Living at Villa Marina Apartments is a nightmare gone bad. The apartments are infested with roaches, mice, rats, fleas, black mold. Complaints regarding these health hazards are met with a nasty response and refusal to fix the problems from onsite management, R&V Management Corporation, leaving you alone to deal with it. In addition, the property as a whole is filthy and a health hazard on its own. Trash, which includes food is scattered throughout the property for days without being picked up and property disposed of. Other big trash items, such as tenant furniture--mattresses, couches, dressers, etc. will be left outside and insight for months without being properly dealt with and taken away although each and every tenants pays a monthly fee for trash disposal.
I chose my apartment because i had to choose something quickly and in my budget. I had my son living with me, my husband and our daughter. So 4 people living in a 840sqft is not enough! We have a small laundry place, no a/c ( it gets hot in San Diego! )no heater, a tiny pool with a hot tub. A pretty bad, small playground. Which i don't bring my kids to. On top of that, the rent goes up higher every year, for what? We pay too much for something that is not worth it! But i do have to say its very close to shopping centers, freeways, and the elementary school. But still not in the greatest neighborhoods.
