Property Ratings at Villa Torino
The property is over priced and the units are just okay. The property staff are kind of rude, aggressive when it comes to payment and kind of obnoxious. If you have no other choice I would stay here otherwise if it matters to you how everyone around you is then this is an extremely unfriendly place.
Property Manager at Villa Torino, Responded To This Review
We're sorry to hear about your experience. Our goal is to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for all. We encourage you to reach out to our office to discuss your concerns further. We value your perspective and hope to improve your experience. - The Villa Torino Management Team
Initially I was very excited to move in and had a great experience the management staff. After signing the lease and moving in I found numerous issues with the apartment and the staff were not responsive to any concerns. The surrounding area was extremely noisy, covered in trash and honestly felt unsafe. Would not recommended.
1. Theft of Amazon packages happens all the time 2. Car break ins are happening all the time and even in the gated garage 3. Mail boxes robberies are happening all the time 4. All valuables from balconies even from 2nd and 3rd floors were stolen all the time 5. Bikes were never safe there. They always were stolen even from a safe bike storage room 6. Villa Torino located in really dangerous and disgusting neighborhood. Homeless people are everywhere. Their tents are surrounding apartment complex. Many of them are really aggressive and mentally ill. 7. You will lose your sleep during the night because of: screaming homeless people, very loud horning trains that are passing every hour, taking off planes from San Jose airport, garbage removal that starts at 4 am and happens 3 days a week 8. We were always at risk of stepping in dog excrements inside the complex and in human s excrements outside of it. 9. Forget about security deposit - Villa Torino will not return it to you. 10. The monthly charge for water and sewer is 150$ that brings your average utility bill up to 300$. 11. Homeless people were swimming in the pool while it was closed to the tenants. They were sleeping in elevators and freely walking in gated garage looking for valuables left in tenants cars. 12. There was zero security at Villa Torino. 13. Villa Torino didn’t lower the rent due to the fact of closing all amenities to the tenants during lock downs. 14. There is a two month rent penalty for early termination of the contract for any reason. 15. Management team doesn’t really care about tenants or their safety
Cons - Very poor management team. - They will keep your deposit no matter what and charge you more. - They charge you for everything, water, hot water, gas, trash, parking, and a lot of other fees so you should add at least $250 + rent. - Good look trying to find another parking if you have 2 cars. - Cars getting broken into all the time, and security is just a joke here. - Getting packages is almost impossible. You will have to go and get them yourself from the local postal office. My packages are getting lost all the time. - Everything is about money here and I truly mean it. Pros, - Clean apartments. - Washer and dryer in unit.

Downtown San Jose has become a great place to live to enjoy great restaurants and an amazing craft cocktail scene. This is the perfect location, close enough to downtown to enjoy the sites and close enough to the Coleman center to get there quickly. And there is good free parking nearby to make visitors easy. The amenities are well maintained and the office staff is incredibly friendly.
