Property Ratings at Village at Midtown
1- Completely unsafe, shooting incidents and crime witnessed during my stay there 2- Very disrespectful and rude management. 3- Trash piles up in hallway, which is unsanitary and unaesthetic. 4- A/C does not work properly, no matter how many times they claim to fix it. 5- Poor quality bathrooms with mold problems.
I have been living here for close to 2 years and I will not be renewing. The prices are increasing for this "luxury living" when there is nothing luxury about it. The breezeways and stairs are full of trash, stained with liquid from tenants trash, overflowed trash cans, spider webs, and flies. I have complained to management and nothing has been done. Maintenance is slow to fix things. My patio screen was broken for NINE MONTHS before anyone did anything about it. Not 1, not 2, not 3 but NINE months. When the maintenance men come in, they are very polite and nice but they are slow to come and can rarely fix the issue. I have been overcharged for several months for trash pick up without realizing it. The apartment's pool has been closed and chained despite it being summer. The gate is frequently broken. Management changes very frequently and are aloof. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. The entire property (especially the breezeways) are littered with trash and food. Management does not take pride in what they are selling. Units are infested with silverfish. Maintenance is nonexistent. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE.

Do not lease an apartment here! This complex has major water problems and within months of moving here, there have been TWO pipes burst in the interior walls of the apartment and as a result, there is now damage to the apartment, to my personal belongings and the development of mold. The leasing office has been terrible and now I’ve had to engage a lawyer...

Worst experience with an apartment to date. Management is demeaning and office staff are aloof. Unable to help with any requests in a timely manner. The front gate was broken for the vast majority of my stay. Whenever it was repaired it would be broken within 24 hours. Also, claim to have overnight security guard but that was clearly not the case. Several drug dealers and gang members live in the complex!

Yes I broke the lease a month early. I was frustrated with the silverfish issue. I complained for about a year. I even wrote a letter to the company that manages village at midtown. I even cried in the office over the the silver fish problem. . I HATE SILVERFISH...the manager didn't give a crap, She just wanted the full rent. She's just rude and inconsiderate. Also I never recieved a response letter from the parent company. If I spend $75 on pest stuff, then I'm taking 75 off my rent. Now mind you, I can't do the attic or other apt so basically I was just wasting my money...any way they put it on my credit that I broke the lease. Well after a year of complaining without any results, I really didn't care that they put it on my credit. I'll just post pictures of my little friends that I lived with. Maybe I should of collected rent from them since village of midtown thought it was alright for me to live with them. Now these pics that I posted are not repeat pics but they are also not all the silverfish that I lived with. Just got tired of taking pics of my pest problem.. Also the breezeway was always nasty. I don't know why they don't pressure wash it, it's not like they spent money on pest control or fixing the front gate that's always broke.
We love our apartment because it is spacious, modern, clean, and high end. The apartments are very well built. The tall ceilings are a nice touch. It is very quiet here. The amenities are amazing. We use the gym and sauna at least 3 times a week. The pool is a nice size and very inviting. Management is professional. The valet trash is a nice touch. Parking for us is not an issue. The apartments are next to a great city park with a lake...so nice. We can see ourselves living here for quite some time.
The grounds at the village are attractive & the units are spacious but there are kids everywhere and I always found myself annoyed at the noise level. Area surrounding community is frequently filled with homeless people & others that do not make me feel safe. Office staff can not get things done in a timely manner. If only I had all new neighbors, all new office staff, and a new part of town this place would have been perfect.
The village at Midtown apartment complex is a great new apartment home that have been built in a sketchy part of Mobile. Although it is a gated community there is only so much you can keep out. The office could be ran better as well. My overall experience here at the Village has been a 7/10.
These are luxury apartments in mobile. close to downtown and the heart of mardi gras festivities these apartments are fairly new. The surrounding area is not the best but living here i have not had any outside problems. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a nice place to live in mobile.
MY APTS. ARE WONDERFUL! FROM THE STAFF, TO THE WONDERFULLY MANICURED GROUNDS, I COULDN'T HAVE CHOSEN A BETTER PLACE FOR MY FAMILY & I TO LIVE! ....AND THERE'S A LOVELY PARK & LAKE BEHIND MY APT & I HAVE THAT AS MY VIEW!.....ISN'T GOD GREAT! LOL POOL, PUTTING GREEN, CAR WASH, MOVIE THEATRE, VALET TRASH PICK UP,WASHER & DRYER IN EVERY APT.....ETC & IT'S LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE CITY WITH EASY ACCESS TO THE INTERSTATE! I REALLY COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR ANY BETTER APT TO LIVE!!
