Property Ratings at Village at Mills Gap
I have never seen such ill-mannered people in my life. The ones who have pets have no common sense. Everyday they walk their animals in front of your apartment and let them crap on the grass right in front of my windows. It's just nasty!!! Also, the tenants here just throw their trash on the ground because they are too lazy to take it to the trash. Although the rent is high they do not have any security cameras so that we feel secure. Also, I'm not sure where they got the picture from that is above but my apartment does not look like it.
The new management is really turning this place around. Easy, quick maintenance. Friendly neighbors, and management that really cares about its tenants. Melissa and Johnathan are definitely the best apartment managements I’ve ever dealt with. -Ross

The employees were very helpful in helping us move in. The property looks very clean, and it’s in a great location.
Just moved in, have nothing bad to say! The management team was super friendly and helpful! Four year old units, everything is pretty new. They have a on property dog park, pool, car wash, laundromat, etc.. Rooms are nice, floor layout is decent! Definitely recommend this place!????
I have had nothing but compliments about my 1st six months of living at the village at mills gap. From management to my neighbors everyone has a great attitude. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to friends.
This is the best property ive had the pleasure of being a resident in . They have amazing maintenance workers who are quick to resolve any issues as quick as possible . During my visit the property manager offered me snacks and beverages to make my visit more pleasant.
Don't want to be a problem, but can't understand why the pool cannot be maintained better than it is. It does rain on and off during this time of the year, but I should be able to swim within the hours it is supposed to be open. The pool was closed the entire Memorial Day weekend, so sad. Couldn't residents receive emails stating that the pool is open or closed. Maybe you could have a contractor maintain the pool since the current responsible party cannot. One more thing, I refuse to pay for a light outside my door that they claim they repaired, I am positive that I would have been aware of the light being broke enough to try and charge me $25.00. I check it every night to see that I cut it on. The staff tries to be friendly and nice, which is very appreciative. MAYBE they need more staff.????

The reason the pool was closed was due to the imbalance of chemicals. I strive to put the resident's safety first and to keep our information up to date and residents informed. We usually send a blast to inform our residents via email. Please make sure your email is up to date with the office if you didn't receive one. What I will do next time is make sure all the residents are informed if this were to ever happen again. I have lived here for 6 months and love it. I have a 3 bedroom with two full baths and the bedrooms are huge with lots of closets. The complex has a beautiful pool and fitness center. They also have a game room and do monthly socials where you can win prizes. The office staff works hard to keep the Village clean. Any issues and they are on it trying to make it right. Lots of parking, right off Highway 9 and close to all the shopping you will want and great schools. Happy to be here.
Love living here. Quiet place to call home. Friendly office staff who gets things done. Any problems are addressed quickly. Pet & family friendly. Great pool, fitness center and playground. lots of parking. Huge apartments with outdoor shed on your patio. Fun monthly socials to bring the community together and win prizes.
We have been here for about 6 months, and have enjoyed it! Everyone of the staff (from maintenance to office staff) is very friendly and always helpful, anything that has comes up has been addressed in a timely manner. New management is working hard to make Village at Mills Gap run smoothly and professionally. Since we have a dog we love that it's a dog friendly community! It's also family friendly which is a plus.
I have been at Village at Mills Gap for almost a year now. I love my apartment home and that most utilities are included in one price . There have been a few changes with management , but I like the changes that have been made , especially with the trash being left outside my neighbors door, since the new office staff a few months ago everything has changed for the better! I also love that the fitness center is 24 hours along with the game room. The resident socials they host are also very nice and I get to meet some other residents in the community. They also give out some great prices. I will more than likely be renewing my lease!
I regret moving here. Mgmt has changed, but it isn't an improvement. The new manager acts like she has done a lot, but people still park in handicap parking, maintenance not done, grounds still poor (dog poop, beer bottles, etc). Door locks barely work. $$ going up steadily for rent while service gets worse. Entered apt without permission - tracked mud throughout apt. It's hard to find a place to park because people have trailers, etc parked in the areas closest to the building. Mgmt refuses to address. They allow pets, but it's hard to walk your dog because of broken glass, unfilled holes, and dog poop everywhere. UPS/FedEx drop packages at the front office which is nice, but it's hard to get them because the office isn't consistently staffed. Doors can be locked for 1 hrs at a time because staff is "out on the grounds." There has been vandalism. There aren't any security cameras except at leasing office. They do a nice job "selling" prospective tenets on living here, but there is no substance behind the sales pitch. Won't be renewing my lease.

We regret that your living experience here at The Village at Mills Gap has not been entirely positive.I would love to address your concerns and make sure you are a happy tenant. Re.maintenance not done, grounds still poor & Vandalism If you have any maintenance request please call the office. We strive in follow up calls to be able to improve our maintenance services. If there is anything that hasn't been completed we ask that you inform us so we can ensure it gets done.The management team walked every single breezeway during our most recent inspections/ preventative maintenance and found no signs of vandalism. If you know of the location please let us know so we can make sure it doesn't happen again and also clean it up. Re. Manager entering your apartment home without permission We send notices via email, post on our community board as well as every single breezeway to make sure you are informed and no one enters your home without notice. We do preventative maintenance quarterly & preventative leak inspection semi annually. Re. tracked mud throughout apt. Oh Dear, If we attract mud during the most recent inspection due to the snow. Please call the office and schedule your free carpet clean on us. Re.Doors can be locked for 1 hrs at a time We apologize for not being available to you at your convenience. We are open from 9-6 however staff members are here by 7:00 am to make sure the children aren't out in the cold waiting for the school bus, Tenants can come enjoy a hot cup of coffee before work, Residents can also come pick up their packages due to their work schedule. If you ever need us to leave the package in your apartment home. Just simply let us know so we can accommodate you. Re. Security Camera The property manager have been working long and hard for this and recently have been approved for cameras in the breezeways. This will happen during phase 2 of the camera installation process which will take place early 2018. This is a great place to live. Huge, clean and well maintained apartments. The office staff and maintenance crew are wonderful. The office manager Julissa is amazing and will go out of her way to make this apartment feel like your home. Quiet, safe area with a pool, club house, playground, Dog Park and monthly socials. The Village is a great place to call home.

Management is horrible as they wiped out everyone from the office all the way down to the maintenance men. When I first moved in at around a year ago management was great and since they pretty much done away with everyone the whole apartment complex has went downhill. Cops are at someone’s apartment seems like every time I pull out of the complex now. Dog poop everywhere management busting up in your apartment without knocking going through you’re apartment. It’s just has got out of control feels like I’m living in Atlanta. If you’re thinking about this place look elsewhere you’d be better off

I would definitely agree with the dog waste and we are currently looking into pooprints and registering each pet here in the complex. Although tenants are not cleaning up after their pet and keeping up with the cleanliness standards within the community. We as a team here at the office have been cleaning up after our resident's pets whenever we see it and/or been made aware of it. We also ask our residents to inform us if you see anyone not picking up after their pet. Re. Management entering your apartment home, we strive to protect all our residents and always send out a notice via email, our community board at our mailboxes and post in every breezeway. Management knocks various of times prior to entering any apartment home. I would love to make this experience better for you and would love to invite you to come talk to the property manager here at the office. So we can address any concerns you may have.
Vandalism continues to increase, insufficient cameras/security. Twice we've had people dealing drugs out of our building. Parking is scarce. Dog poop everywhere. Common areas not kept clean. Issues escalated to mgmt, but consistently ignored. Black "gunk" comes out of every faucet. Paying way too much in rent to put up with these issues.

I walk the breezeways on a regular basis and have not seen any signs of vandalism; however, if you have seen any please bring it to our attention so we can get it resolved. I have a nice I bedroom and 1 bathroom apartment.the area where I stay is very peaceful and quiet...I have to pay 820 a month but that includes water, sewer and cable, electric is separately.. I don't have a washer and dryer so I have to use the laundry room which can get full being that we only have 4 washers/dryers..I also have other bills to pay including car payment 275, insurance 120 and buy food..this rent free for life would really help me out a lot
