A suburban sprawl that perfectly accentuates the rest of Lawrence, South Lawrence provides space and tranquility to those who want to be near the home of the University of Kansas, but don’t like the noise of the city. Stretching out from the original city limits of Lawrence, South Lawrence is a much newer addition to the city with just as much charm but with a more suburban feel.
The area encompasses many different neighborhoods and areas, including waterfront properties near Clinton Lake, and rural farmland near Sibleyville. There are endless options in South Lawrence, but no matter where you choose to rent, the amenities of the city center are just minutes away.

Property Ratings at Village at West End
Our move in has gone so smoothly because of Holly! She has been so helpful and transparent about the whole process. She put in maintenance requests before we arrived and communicates really well. This place is wonderful and I recommend 10/10!
I lived here my junior and senior year of college! Great price and phenomenal unit. Maintenance was always done in a timely manner and loved living in the community.
First time renting came at Village at West End. I have nothing but good to say about the community, location, and price!
I was a Resident at the apartments on Village West End for three years. From amenities to management, this place deserves a five stars rating. Maintenance response was always quick and efficient. The administration was always fair and comprehensive, with nothing but great community engagement.
The Village @ West End is located in a perfect part of town, nice and quiet but only a few minutes from everything. The grounds are very clean, the complex is very calm and peaceful. It feels like a true home neighborhood and not like a complex. The appliances were all full size and not typical apartment-style. The light fixtures and paint were new and things I’d pick for my home, not the typical apartment style cheap stuff! The leasing and move in process was great. The 2 maintenance concerns were addressed immediately and the property manager is very responsive. We feel incredibly safe here and the cost is amazing. Village @ West End is perfect especially if you want the feeling of living in a house but the convenience of a townhome.
First year was alright, but once the Property manager Holly took over it turned out to be a pretty great spot! She’s very helpful and will make sure that stuff gets done as quickly as possible!!
village at west end is a great place to live. all of the tenants are very friendly and the property manager is always working hard to make sure everyone is happy. if you have a problem, the property will get on it right away. by far the best apartment/townhouse to live at in lawrence.
We have lived here for almost a year, relocating from ND. We couldn't have asked for a better community or a better property manager - we feel like we belong her and Holly makes sure you know you do belong. They are quick to take care of any issues, keep the grounds looking phenomenal and what can I say about the pool! We see ourselves here for several years, it is safe, welcoming and exactly what our homesick selves need!
The management is great to work with and the location is great for access to everything you need.
I'm currently living here as a junior at KU and I love it! Holly is amazing and always friendly. Maintenance requests are answered within 24 hours. Living spaces are huge and rent/utilities are cheap too.
The apartments are in solid condition, very cozy, nice neighborhood, and is located in a quieter west side location. Also our property manager Holly is amazing and 100% accommodating. Would definitely recommend living here!
I’ve lived here for 4 years and the new management started at the end of last year. They have completely transformed the complex in such a short period of time. The landscape and apartments have been renovated, there is a new staff working around the clock to get things fixed as quickly as possible and the landlord is so helpful and good at communicating new changes and anticipating residents’ needs. With all the changes, they’ve still kept the same price! It’s super cheap for how nice everything is. I highly recommend it!
We love this place. One of the best place we stayed at. Everything is nice. Kids friendly. Maintenance on top of everything. Property management is so nice. Apartment are big and lots of space
