Though Boise is home to over 200,000 residents, the city still feels like one of the country’s best-kept secrets. As the state capital of Idaho, Boise’s downtown district is filled with grandiose government buildings and historic storefronts, offering an eclectic mix of international restaurants, specialty shops, and entertainment venues. This city features a thriving arts scene with local gems like the Boise Art Museum, the museum’s seasonal Art in the Park festival, and the historic Egyptian Theatre.
This city features an array of excitement, but it’s also a relaxing suburbia that’s perfect for families. Excellent public schools and Boise State University call this capital city home, along with kid-friendly fun like the Zoo Boise and the Discovery Center of Idaho.

Property Ratings at Village East Apartments & Townhomes
We like the amenities and updated features of the apartment. However, storage is extremely lacking, refrigerator is very small in a space that allows much bigger, and bathtubs are very narrow if you're a bath person. I would not recommend an apartment around the pool area as the noise is awful continuing into the night a lot of times. Parking is an issue as well unless you use the covered space or pay extra for a garage. The open spaces are hard to come by especially for visitors. Maintenance is great and respond quickly, Management is friendly and professional. Overall, it wouldn't be high on my recommendation list if you need storage. Otherwise, the interiors are lovely with decent size rooms. For noise, just try to get one in the back away from the road and pool.
The complex is in good order. The dog park, turf and dog stations through out are clean, easy to use and stocked with supplies. This was a huge factor on why I decided to move here. The apartment was very clean when I moved in.
I enjoy living here because I am very comfortable from the point of view of security and I can take my children outside for fun and use the gym etc
The team is excellent and the living spaces are too. Pure class all around!
Wonderful staff and apartment. I would recommend anyone to live here.
The maintenance guys are amazing. Fix things right away and are so kind. Office people as well are so kind and making living here nice. I love living here
I have been very pleased with our apartment at Village East. The kitchen is very nice and the cabinets are spacious. The windows are big and let in a lot of natural light. I especially enjoy our patio. The pool is thoughtfully designed with lots of room for kids and shallow spots even for toddlers to splash in. The gym has an attached play room with big windows so parents can comfortably work out with their kids nearby.
I think that everyone considering to move here should read this review. Overall my experience at Village east has been okay, yes staff is nice, they do fun events, food trucks, the buildings look nice and the location is nice too. Unfortunately, this place has a lot more cons than pros to me. First off parking is just as terrible as it sounds but recently they did switch to a different parking security which is not strict on booting and towing so good for them on that one i guess (after countless complaints i have seen about parking, they finally made the switch) When they were using their old security company i myself was booted while being a resident who was just added onto the lease. Why would I be booted at my own place where I live? It was because when I was added onto my roomates lease, the office failed to give me one of the parking passes to put in my car window( most important thing to do IMO) and I was a new resident so how would I know about this? So I was forced to pay $150 to get a boot taken off of my car. After this happened I received no apology whatsoever even though it was not my fault but was the offices. Also they only allow each unit 2 parking passes which is just them covering up the fact that they didnt plan out how many people will occupy a 2 bedroom and 2 bath apartment. Professional! Funny enough this situation almost happened again, I had gotten a new car around the time they made the switch to a different parking security, so I went down to make sure my new car and new plates were up to date on the lease so I wouldnt get booted again. (FYI the parking pass is associated with the old parking company) They told us that stickers wouldnt be mandatory for the new company anymore so I didnt think to ask for one. Next day I go out to my car and see a warning for towing...really again. So I go into the office and i explained the situation to the office and was asked if i got another sticker and i said no the other office worker didnt give me one when i went in to update my car information. Turns out the new company still goes off of those stickers.. i get it mistakes happen but when I live here i dont want to receive a threat about being towed. Again, no apology from the office or anything for something that was THEIR mistake. Also if you are wanting to live in an apartment where they need to do maintenance every month and have people come into your apartment basically every month then this is the place for you!
I'm very disappointed in the lack of management and care from Village East. For the price you pay, it's not worth it. So if you're currently thinking of moving to Boise or moving to a new location in town I recommend finding a better spot. There are wonderful landlords and complexes elsewhere for the same price and sometimes even less than what Village East prices their units at.
I have been a resident of the Village East Apartments from the beginning and I have had the pleasure to watch our little community grow into wonderful place to call home. The staff is AMAZING! The apartments are tech friendly, modern and very comfortable. Not to forget; The Clubhouse and Pool become the epicenter of summertime fun! Can’t say enough good things about the Village East Apartments.

The office crew is amazing! They are always ready to help and with a positive attitude. The apartments are pretty sound proof with lots of privacy. The clubhouse has a lot to offer with the pool availability when it is open season. They are very nice apartments and can definitely be called home...

Kristine, Thank you so much for posting this wonderful review, we appreciate you! - The Village East Team
This is my first experience in Idaho and I'm happy I choose this apartment. Yes visiting parking could be better but at least we have the option. Some places don't. We the the the pool and BBQ area and gym and pool room and party space. Still learning about Idaho but happy this is our first home.
To start off, the parking situation is horrible which resulted in numerous unnecessary parking fines. They also secretly gave me a late fee multiple times that I found as they finally gave me a detailed receipt of all my payments that I had asked for multiple times because it just wasn’t adding up. The management is horrible, they only look for the ways they can get the most money out of you. I’ve lived in many different places over the years and this is the worst experience I have ever had. They are crooks, I would give them 0 stars if I could.
