Property Ratings at The Essex
I have been staying here since June of 2023. I absolutely loved the new management that came in around November. Shanna and Hannah are absolutely wonderful. One thing about Shanna and Hannah whatever issues you have in the apartment, they do it with the quickness. They answered the phone quickly and handle any apartment issues ASAP. No back talk AT ALL ! I definitely recommend to lease this apartment since we have better management. The last management supposed to do reserved parking but they never done it until Shanna and Hannah came in. Also, yesterday they had Wine Wednesday for us tenants to be proactive and build relationships with us. I am very appreciative how respectful and proactive they are.
I’m new to the area and was looking for something with a washer & dryer and came across The Essex. Contrary to recent reviews I was happy to see that the renovated apartments all offer stainless steel appliances, fridge with ice maker, stove, dishwasher and microwave! The staff was very welcoming & answered all my concerns but they did not have availability for my move in time frame of ASAP so I had to rent elsewhere.
I been here nearly 3 years. In the beginning with the old management we had quick response to maintenance and the people were very friendly, now we have new management. They seem to make the place look better by painting the out side and redoing the steps outside, they installed new tiolets that didn't need to be replaced, but there are NO new stainless steel appliances as it's advertised. They will show you a model apartment instead of looking at the actual apartment you will move into, dont move in until yiu see the actual apartment you moving into. That's how they get you, Many of the neighbors are disgusting and they attract roaches becausethey dont clean after them selves, we keep our home clean and I have done as much as I can to cover any cracks and small opening to keep any bugs away, but our neighbors downstairs are a bunch of pigs. They raised our rent over 300 that is way more than the 4% that I'm usto when rent increases go up. But because this state doesn't have a rent control law they raise it to what ever they want. It's not worth the price they asking for, especially when I have to do my own exterminating and occasionally do my own maintenance.
we rented a 1/1 for 2.5 years and had no problems (except during renovations to common areas, which is to be expected) Rent was never raised, staff always answered questions, bus sprayers were on time and the grass/pool areas were always clean of dog doo and trash. there was an odd rule about not being allowed to have curtains and not pulling your blinds 100% up, but neither of us was home in daylight hours to have this affect us. The laundry facility had an inexpensive soda machine and maybe 12 washer & dryers. RARELY could hear the neighbors through walls. only downside was the brickwork did not allow for super strong internet or cable signals. Only left because we had to move home.
Do not rent!!! Trust me!!! Liars and I had to rush to move in due to personal issues and I wish I never bothered with this place... Rent first floor and hear everything! I have 2 ,kids and husband works early and Robert said it's ok to break lease Early then says I can pay a certain amount on rent because I'm leaving early and then 2 days later get a 3 day notice? Wow u verbally say one thing and then send me a letter? Really? Do not trust this place!! Always have emails because they make you look like a liar!! I been complaining about noice complaint since April and nothing was done, options were leave or move to different floor... Upstairs didn't care on making noise and apparently neither did the office.
I have been here 2 weeks and the office staff Robert and Anthony have been very helpful. the maintenance people are very friendly the area i live in is quiet and my neighbors are friendly . so far so good
Application process was very simply and got the approval the same date :-) Got a move in special, half price reservation fee plus locked in the price since they are getting closer with the renovations :-) :-) Totally love the first floor enclosed patio!!!!
Hello Everyone!!!! Visited this Property over the weekend...Leasing Agent was friendly and personable. This Property is under renovations and is starting to look real good! Cant wait till move-in day!!!
