Property Ratings at Village Green Student Housing
I complained several weeks ago about wasps and bee nests outside the exterior. Nothing has been done at all. And I had to speak with maintenance personally to remove a nest outside by balcony. Claimed they were going to call an exterminator but no such thing has been done. I understand you don’t have a ladder that goes that high but some ingenuity is needed to address the problem. This is out of hand there are at least 7 outside my building alone. If I was allergic I’d be dead

Hello, Thank you for taking the time out to write this review. We take pride in trying to keep are community debris and pest free, so this is very troubling news to us. We apologize if your service request has not been fulfilled. We use a third party vendor to service any pest issues encountered on the property. So if we put in a ticket and the service has not been fulfilled, that alerts us that we may need to suspend our contract with our current vendor. Please contact the Leasing & Marketing manager at Nika@vgapartments.com so we can get this issue resolved as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you and we are so sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. Warmest regards, Village Green Team
There is never good parking. The trash is always full so you have to sit trash on the side. I had a leak problem and they took $200 out of rent when my things damaged were over $500 and I had receipts. They told me I could get somebody to sublease my apartment so I could move and they scammed me out of 2 months extra rent. I had to call the owner of the apartment complex just to get my money back and name off the lease. Worst place ever! Please don’t get a bottom floor because you hear everything above you.

Overall I think this is a really good place to live. The location can not be beat. I-40 is right out the door, downtown is 5 min away, food lion is down the street, and NC State campus is super close. My apartment was in pretty good shape when I moved in and I take good care of it so it’s clean and has nice furnishings. Whenever I have a maintenance problem it’s fixed within a day or two. I also really like all the people that work in the office, they’re friendly. Whenever I come in to get a package theyre always chatty and fun. They also host really fun activities like movie night or holiday crafts. I’ve lived here for 3 or 4 years now and I would definitely recommend as it’s safe fun and convenient

I like it at VG. It's a little pricey but it is cheaper than all the other apartments near campus. They just upgraded the clubhouse and furniture so that's a plus. The staff is friendly too, Aaron is always helpful.

My daughter has lived here for 3 years now and the staff is always friendly. Yes, there has been a lot of the turnover but the more recent staff is really good. They are very attentive and always make sure my daughter's issues are resolved in a timely manner. She and her friends love it at Village Green. I cannot speak for others but I am glad she chose to live there for her under grad.

Just got hit with a huge bill! I was a resident here about three years ago. And I am just now getting notification that I have an outstanding balance for a move out fee which I was not informed about when I first moved in there.. Worst of all, it’s new management so they can’t help me at all. While speaking with management I was informed that they were just now doing their audit. 3 YEARS AFTER I HAD MOVED OUT!!! Whatever the previous management did or did not do is not my responsibility either! Whatever you do, do not stay here because they WILL hit you with hidden fees once you move out!!! Highly unprofessional!!!! IF YOU DO STAY HERE, THEN SAVE ALL SIGNED DOCUMENTS!!!!!

Hello, Thanks for expressing your experience at Village Green. We apologize for the service you have received thus far. Please reach out to our Accounts Manager Hailie at Hailie@vgapartments.com so she can assist you with any account issues you are enduring. Best, Village Green Team
I would never recommend this place to anyone, the prices are way higher than they should be. Management kept finding reasons to charge me for random things and I only stayed there for 10 weeks. The room was suppose to be cleaned prior to my moving in, but when I got there mold was growing all over the bathroom toilet, sink, and shower, plus the individual fridge had food left in it. The lock to my room also never worked and I put in an order for it to be fixed and they never fixed it, so I couldn't lock my room. Also, the amenities were not great. The pool was always being closed for renovations/cleaning and the gym equipment never worked. Additionally, people didn't follow the non-smoking rules. The only beneficial thing about this place is that it is close to Centennial Campus of NCSU, otherwise you could find so much better for a better price.

Good morning, We apologize for your experience and dissatisfaction with Village Green. Please feel free to contact the leasing manager to further discuss any issues or concerns you have at Nika@vgapartments.com. Thanks, Village Green Staff
Apartment maintenance had no regard for privacy and enter apartments without asking permission before posted dates. Was given a 3 day notice to prepare but they came a day early, even putting up a Do Not Enter sign on the door. Very frustrating when they throw out items in the kitchen and living room during these visits that don't belong to the apartment. Office staff brush this off without apologies and claim they just wanted a "head start."
As soon as you enter the apartment complex it appears as it claims, it is gated, the front office and garden area are well maintained, so everything looks fantastic. The workout center and computer lab are all updated and the pool has been recently renovated. When you are taken to view the model home, it is well staged and freshly painted. For a 2x2, it is the perfect size. Large enough to have your own space and small enough that the space is easy to maintain upkeep. Apartments are offered unfurnished or furnished (dresser, nightstand, desk, couch, coffee table, end table, dining set, a living room television, and each room has a mini fridge), but does not include a bed frame or mattress set. In my actual apartment (3x3), the door ways are extremely narrow. There is decent storage space per bedroom (one walk-in closet and two to four under-sink cabinets), but limited additional storage space in the rest of the apartment. There are two pantries, but limited cabinet space in the kitchen. The cabinets in all the bathrooms and in the kitchen are peeling from use and/or water damage. When management "flipped" the apartment, the paint job was poor (and they were called to return and redo it - never came) and the carpet needs to be updated (a section of the dining room doesn't flush completely with the wall). The apartment section of the complex is in need of renovation, but for the most part, the complex is decent.
I have really enjoyed my time at Village Green, so much that I have renewed for another year. Having separate bathrooms and walk-in closets for each room was a big bonus. I have never felt unsafe while living in this apartment complex. Maintenance has been great and respond very quickly to service requests. The only big downside to Village Green is the visitor parking situation. On most weekends the visitor spots fill up very quickly. One of my friends was towed because she parking outside of a visitors spot.
