National publications constantly place Pittsburgh near the top of the list for most livable cities in America, and it’s easy to see why. The city has a rich history as an industrial and economic hub, which led to the construction of many grand buildings and public sculptures which still stand today. Downtown in particular is rich with beautifully preserved buildings and lush public parks dating back well over a century, giving the entire community a timeless atmosphere.
Pittsburgh is split into three sections by the rivers passing through the city: Downtown (a.k.a. “The Golden Triangle), the North Side, and the South Side. Each has its fair share of attractions and landmarks: the North Side is home to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park (making it a perfect area for sports fans), the South Side features big, beautiful greenways and refurbished steel mills, and Downtown is where you’ll find the most variety in dining, nightlife, and entertainment.

Property Ratings at Village in the Park Apartments
I have lived at Village in the Park for two years and this is a great place to live. We rent a two bedroom apartment and for the rent (it is a bit more than I would like to pay) you cannot find a better apartment with more closet space. they allow pets, we came to the apartment with two cats and Tom the onsite management/ maintenance guy said that it was not an issue. I have seen people with small to medium sized dogs walking on the grounds, and in Riverview park which is right next to the apartments! Also it is a short walk to the bus stop (line 8 if you care) and the apartments are tucked away and off the main road but still very easy to get to. When I was looking for a cheaper place to live I could not find ANYTHING that came close to the space we already had for the same price. And when I was looking at other places I saw that other places had bed bugs or a roach issue, I asked them about it and they said "Bed bugs are an American issue.".... I have NEVER had an issue with ANY bugs with Village in the Park. Village in the Park installed some security camera's to look at the entrance as well as look after the cars in the Free parking lot. For the cons: the walls tend to be thin and you can hear your neighbors, and the on site washers and dryers tend to be broken a lot of the time.
Pros and cons cancel each other. Pros- Management is great, price is right, great location and updated open floor plan with bamboo hardwood floors in kitchen. Cons- Noise levels carry from neighbors. Master bedroom is huge, only has 1 air vent, freezing during winter and unbearably hot during the summer.
