Property Ratings at Village in the Park Apartments
Disregard the most recent review someone put that was negative. It is totally incorrect and far from it.I know what I'm talking about as I am a retired former property manager of twenty or so years. The staff is professional and know what they're doing.I met Tera the new manager and she was friendly and helped me with what I came into the office for.My son met Tera and Yolanda regarding a replacement car sticker and to look into a question about my lease. They were both awesome he said. Some trees were recently cut down as for safety as they were old.Smart move. The removal of the car wash was justified as it was a eye sore and rarely used. The building walls are quiet and hallways cleaned weekly.Bobbie,Doug and the entire crew is top notch.I highly recommend this place.

Thanks for brightening our day with such a glowing review of Village in the Park! We're so glad to hear that you had a great experience in our beautiful community and that our team was so helpful. If there is anything you ever need, please reach out to the office and let us know!
Village in the Parks was recently acquired by Mid-America Management Corporation in January 2024, any reviews prior to this refer to the old management which was quite good. The new management is not. Look up Mid-America Management Corporation’s 1.7 star rating for yourself. The office staff is unable to answer basic questions regarding the property or help with basic issues. For example, we went in to the office for help figure out why we were unable to split rent in their online payment system (ie my roommate and I want to pay half our rent each) we were told there was nothing the office could do to help us in person and instead we should email the help line. 5 minutes on the phone with corporate reveals their system flat out doesn’t support splitting rent because their owner doesn’t want to. But there was no way the on-site office would have helped and called to get an answer. This pretty basic shortcoming aside, the new management company has removed all the perks of the property, cut down all the trees, removed the car wash station, and has done away with the helpful staff, all the things that made this property good. All the negatives are still there though, the walls are thin, there’s never any parking, and the apartments are dated. Honestly it’s just not worth the headaches, look elsewhere. We are leaving at the end of our lease, as are many of our neighbors.

I lived here for a year and it was the worst apartment I have lived in. I do not recommend living here. There are slightly more expensive options that are much nicer (and safer). Avoid this place due to poor property management, living conditions, and overall value.
Apartment unit has black mold all thorough out/ management sends maintenance with a little scrub brush and some bleach and tells us ok it’s all cleaned up. STAY FAR AWAY FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH. Very poorly ran, this is a glorified landscaping team. And the western reserve property management is the WORST.
I have lived at village in the park for a few months now. There is a bedbug problem in my building. I have asked to change units multiple times but management will not let me change units without paying multiple thousands of dollars. This is unsafe and insanitary. This has resulted in my family having to throw away furniture and clothes, and live in hotels for weeks. I cannot afford this.
I woke up to my bathroom flooded with sewage 3 times due to plumbing issues from other apartments. After the third time, when I requested to move, they said it was an act of God and not their fault. I could only if I paid off the remainder of my lease which was 6 months. I guess if you don’t want to wake up surprised and not able to shower, you better be ready to pay them off to get out of there. When the water also floods onto the carpet, don’t expect them to clean it. That’s your expense.
I have lived at village in the park for over a year. There have been multiple times where they schedule landscaping or maintenance at 7am. I work night shift so I don’t expect everyone to be on the same schedule, but most people are sleeping at 7am. A few months ago, they redid the parking lot and had guys with huge machinery pounding away at the concrete at 7am. That went on for multiple days, and residents were not notified. Today there’s a guy who’s been blowing leafs since 7am right outside my window. There are a lot of other problems I have with village in the park, my recommendation is not to live here. I will not be renewing my lease.
This site is very helpful to find a home I recommend for anyone trying to find a place for his/her and the family
This is a nice building with nice amenties, it has nice view where trees and shrubs surround the whole complex. The staff are good and friendly , and the complex is convientely located near restaurants and supermarkets chains.
I love the location; close to everything anyone would need. The size of my apartment is just right for me. Being in a basement apartment, it's very cool in the summer. I've been here since June 1st, it's now mid August and I haven't used my A/C yet. The tenants and neighborhood are quiet. The only drawback is there is no privacy for my particular apt. I'm right next to the entrance and people walking their dogs look right into my living room. The landscaping is very short.
Customer service is number one. I love coming home to to where I feel special. The building and grounds are so well cared for during every season. also I have many great neighbors who I enjoy visiting. Just a very special place that is the result of a lot of hard work from each and every employee.
When my husband and I sold our home, we were looking to downsize and maybe buy a condo. After looking at condos for about 3 months, we decided to look for apartments instead. When we came across Village in the Park we knew we found our home. We have been here for 10 years now, and we are still happy to call it our home. The staff is awesome, and will help you if you need it quickly. We have seen some younger people come and go but for the most part our building has some long time tenants. It is pet friendly, there are one,or two bedroom apartments, with 1 or 1 and half baths. You have a patio and there is a wonderful pool in the summer a party room (which I have used on more than one occasion)and a exercise room. There is also a picnic area with grills you can use a picnic tables. People are very nice here and I think anyone would enjoy living here.
Upon entering the facility it looked decent, but as time passsed i realize that this place is great! Long and wide spaced hallways for easy transition when moving, laundry room with plenty of machines and dryers, a beautiful lake to sit near and plenty of amenities! I am pleased wit my apartment as well! I'm so glad I found this place!
