Sitting directly north of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park and adjacent to SeaWorld San Diego, Clairemont is a large neighborhood with much to offer. It is directly east of La Jolla and Pacific Beach, so residents are minutes away from some of San Diego’s best beaches. The neighborhood is home to San Diego Mesa College and the University of California San Diego is only about four miles north, making Clairemont a great option for students.
Clairemont offers some terrific parks, including Tecolote Canyon Natural Park. This vast park covers 903 acres and is a terrific hiking destination. Other great destinations include Marian Bear Memorial Park and nearby Fiesta Island Park. Shopping is plentiful in Clairemont, with the Clairemont Town Square Mall and Genesee Plaza offering a variety of shops and restaurants. The Most Intrusive Management on Earth.
Hello there, my name is John. My Grandmother lived at Village North from 1987 until her passing in 2012. I've practically grown up around these apartments, visiting throughout the years. Though there are some very nice people whom live there, I'm sorry to say the number of busy bodies is overwhelming. My Mom now lives in these apartments and on multiple occasions I've come over in the middle of the day to shower up after working all night. With my mother at work and me in the shower, I suppose the manager Lilly suspected it was okay to enter my mothers home for what she calls an "inspection", without knowledge of anyone including myself in the apartment. I also didn't hear her enter and you'll never guess what this women did... Walked in on me in the shower!!! She has the audacity to tell me I can't be there! I've been a part of this community my whole life! Completely unethical behavior from management at all levels. Also, they have a inked up maintenance guy who peaks in windows, daily. Trying to get my mother out of this place but she tells me she can't afford to move out. I've had it! PS, the apartments are completely run down with maintenance issues and still have a 50 y/o design that is falling apart. Sincerely, -John
